Brought home today a nice example of a No Fear. Cabinet faded but playfield nice, goodiesbag was still in the cabinet. Ramp entrance broken, will need to make some kind of protector covering it up but that's it. Nothing else a good cleaning job will not solve as far as I can see now
Quoted from PinballManiac40:Nice Corvette. Your lower left GI is out. Time to check for a burnt J120, J121, or J115 connector.
It was J115
Quoted from StrangeSubset1:Any guesses?
Plenty of guesses, like the complete ipdb
No way somebody can identify a pin from this picture
AFter more than 6 months of searching finally got a TSPP
Wasn't cheap but got tired of waiting and this was a nice example. Last 3 yrs not used and been in private home last 12 yrs. only 2 yrs routed.
So let the shopping and modding begin
Quoted from Bendit:Woohoo!
Enjoy, looks like a nice one . I searched over 5 months to get one and had to overpay to get it in the end for a nice one but as a Simpsons and pinball fan it was a must have for me.
A colordmd or pin2dmd is really great for this machine by the way
Why .... can .... I ...... not .... resist
I giess Price was right and my last project was already finished for over a week ....
Typically I am not a pat lawlor fan but never played TaF much so we will find out.

Sorry but you have 2 to go, a stern and Gottlieb version

Had a roadtrip yesterday with a friend and Picked up a once routed TWD. Have some cleaning to do but cabinet was near perfect and should clean up OK.
A pin of my favorite TVseries. Always nice
Only hope the false start doesn’t represent the future. On the second test play at home the hinge of the well walker broke off

The counter said 7500 paid plays. The amount of free plays is useless as this is reset when upgrading the firmware. Didn’t even bother to check it. I care more about the looks as the counter.
The hinge is already replaced and TWD is fully operational again

A TSPP, no wonder you have that grim on your face
Enjoy it and the best mod is a color display, Pin2dmd or Colordmd.
Quoted from ToucanF16:I got the pin and am headed home. 1200 miles to go!
Picking up this pin is somewhat bittersweet. I’m very lucky to have it. Anyone following the TBL saga knows how rare these are. Unfortunately, a lot of people have money on the table, but nothing to show for it. [quoted image]
In spite of the feelings, please just enjoy it. Not your fault after all.
So, have fun !! That’s what’s pinball is all about after all
Had a roadtrip with a friend of me and got him a nice looking cftbl
Let the modding begin. Pinsound is first on the list

Yup. The Birds played Thursday, so I needed something for background noise.
Don’t put to much value in that number. This as it resets when a firmware update is done. Last firmware update is already quite some time ago however. In this case it was a friend so doesn’t apply here I guess but I think it resets to if you flash with same firmware version.
Quoted from Mikey1983:Just arrived in Holland today unboxing party..
[quoted image]
Wow, I think the first one in NL even. Congrats
Went out on a roadtrip for him for a HUO POTC. Looked brand new, tastely modded and had a colordmd installed. Price was neat so we went back home happy

Was my very very first pin 20 yrs ago. On my wishlist to own one again, fun pin and it brings back old memories ...
Quoted from AUKraut:Nice Road Show! Very fun and underrated pin, miss mine terribly......
Friday !!!!
Went with a friend to help him with the purchase of a 24. And there stood also a RnB. Emotions hit me as it was my very first pin 20 yrs ago and I couldn’t resist myself when I learned the price was OK.
But I don’t have space, I need mental help

I think I know this pinball from somewhere
And yes, playfield is in great shape
Damned. Why do I keep doing this? I don’t have space !! Traded a RnB and got some extra cash to it. But this SW really needs a lot of TLC
So give it the tlc it deserves after 12 yrs, play it and on to the next

It’s especially very handy when a pin has to be carried downstairs
Picked up first a GB pro for the Dutch Pinball Association (NFV) and on the way home from dropping it into the Clubhouse (has approx 120 pins on free play) a LAH for myself as a project flipper to get it back into real life fully working.

I think your Saw mill is installed backwards .
Good eyes as this is indeed the case. Why would somebody do this? Now you can see the inside. Easy to correct fortunately.
Quoted from PSchwisow:Wait, what part is backwards? The part by Nell?
Yup. Nell should be at the bottom and the saw on top.
So, after almost a yr of absence bought a game for myself as a replacement of TSPP which was sold two weeks ago.
Went to a nice seller for a GOTG pro but came home with a nice MB equipped with Pinsound, Pinspeakers and Pinshaker
Pinsound is a lot of fun I must admit. Cabinet was touched up but decent. Playfield is almost spotless . So a real classic in the house. Now to make the settings more difficult, have Monsters of Rock already on almost first game ....
Installed already a NVRAM to make sure no battery damage can occur down the road and a PIN2DMD which I had lying around.

Guess that shipping to the US would be quite expensive
Not mine but helped a friend with a pickup of one of his holy grails. A WOZ standard with only 550 plays on it. Build 2014, un buffered 7.5 light boards. Great shape.
Less than 5 miles drive, that’s a first so close by

RS is planned to move quickly as I already had a RS once but PM is more interesting to do play testing and explore the technique. It even came with a box full of spares, owner had bought a populated playfield once and removed the parts, put them in a bin and used playfield as decoration.

Picked up a nice looking Mousing around which should clean up nicely. Already replaced a blown fuse, overheated GI connector and fixed some loose wires. Plays already nicely.
Next step is a tear down and shop it.

Great score. Updated myself to from a pro to a LE. Just such a great pin and a true masterpiece from Lyman. He will be remembered.
Quoted from ViperTim:Swedish krona as already pointed out.
18.94sek for 1 litre of 95 (equivalent of us 91) is 2.07 USD.
Or roughly 7.8 USD/gallon.
Over here in NL price is almost usd 2.40 per liter !!!
Not mine but helped a friend with picking up a TMNT pro.
Playfield looked like glass. Was a Feb 2021 built.

I've made several sets....but they do take enough labor and materials such that there is really no money to be made, etc. Some were powdercoated but later ones were painted to lower the cost. Another Pinside guy has a set and is looking into having them made as more of a mass production effort....I'm not sure where that stands. They're easy to make 'sloppy' but a lot more difficult to make if you want them to look and feel right.
They are very useful as they give you a good confident hold on the machine. Very good for taking machines up and down stairs, too.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Here you have another version of this idea: https://www.led4pin.eu/en/bee-lift.html
I know from the supplier that making them properly is indeed more costly as expected. I use them for moving my pins up and down the stairs, very handy indeed.
Quoted from GregCon:Yes, we looked at making a single bar but decided to make individual handles so they would work on widebody or standard body games. Also, the individual handles can be mounted along the sides, like carrying a coffin, as well.
None of the parts are off the shelf and since they'll be depended on to carry a valuable machine...they need to be welded properly. They also need to be fabricated 'square' and equal so one side is not cocked off at an angle. The ends get capped to prevent tear-through of the grips and/or cutting your hand.
I haven't bought any materials since prices went up but these were about $160 for a set of four in the old days.[quoted image]
Its 1 solution for normal and widebody. The 2 slide into each other. It works quite nice
Been a while. Visited a local pinball distributor for playing a Venom to write an article in our local pinball club magazine and tripped over a JP pro as good as new. Got an offer I couldn’t refuse and said to myself, you only live once. Why not. And what is a working space without a pinball??
Third Elwin pin. It has teeth but doesn’t swim in the sea
