You can also open the coin door and go through the menu and at the end it will reboot the game see if it comes to life then
Quoted from Lemank:Today's pick up. The only bad thing is the previous owner cut the wires in the back. Thank you letgo!
So they for sure didn't know about the Jones plug's. I hope they let it go cheap since they didn't have a clue....
Quoted from whthrs166:Ok spent the day with the Sonic Mars Trek that I picked up at the garage sale for $500. Here are a few pics of the find.
This game is in the best condition of any EM I have ever seen. The pf looks to be clear coated from the factory. ( I read that Sonic clear coated their pf s ) This thing is extremely clean inside and out.
Man that is one nice looking game for $499.25 (I see that 75 cents in the coin tray). Seriously nice find
Quoted from dirtbag66:And lots of facial hair!
My dad always told me "facial hair is a sign of laziness".
Words to live by!
Odd I have facial hair and keep it trimmed and I shave. I also keep my hair very short. I guess that makes me lazy…..
Quoted from psd4me:Looks like that home plate rollover might be broken.
Good eye it is. And thanks
Quoted from Nevus:Pinbot, well worn, but loved and purchased from a close friend.
Nice put some pics of it up on the GCPC thread. Hope to see it in the tourney.
Quoted from Whysnow:2012 forrester. It will fit every type of game, including a NIB Stern with 1/8 inch to spare (just dont slam the hatch and bust your glass; I have not done that but know someone that did)
Like the plate you know there is a big to do about you "LIONMAN". You have your own Topic
Quoted from sd_jameson:Well, the <$100 finds still exist, but I have my work cut out for me!
Below is what an $83 Gorgar looks like.
Just have to ask how did the price come out to be $83 bucks.
That's a great story. I once looked at a EM that I was to uncomfortable to make an offer as I was by myself and the seller wasn't and I felt like a may have gotten jumped so I gracefully backed away after taking a quick look at the game. Same type seller seemed like they had some other things going on and didn't feel to safe in that environment.
Congrats on Gorgar looks like you have the skills to bring it back from dead
Quoted from bek1966:Picked up a non-working Bally On Beam. Craigslist find for the right price - free!
"Free" check out that coinless coin door fits the theme Free "free play". Nice find
Quoted from nascarrey:Awesome helper! Wait till shes older and can go and help with your pick ups!
I've had a Golden Tee Home Edition for 3 years- my 14 yo daughter wasn't interested...... When I added my first pin (EK77) in march she took a liking to it-them when I brought home a sweet Jokerz in august-she was hooked! Wonder if I can get het to help me with my 3 projects ...lol
Funny how that is, I have been taking my kids (all girls) to HAAG pinball expo for years and never thought they were into it. My youngest (just turned 21) actually asked to go this year and took off from her Job. She plays more arcades (loves Smash TV) and is actually pumped to head out tomorrow morning and go to the expo.
Quoted from jmountjoy111:I picked up a pretty nice Demolition man today. I haven’t played this game in a couple of years but I remember it had tons and tons of awesome combos andthe ugliest picture of Sandra Bullock that was ever created lol.
Son playing a game in the background? Looks like he is into it
Quoted from DavidPinballWizz:Guess the machine.. shipment from Italy to Belgium.

Quoted from psd4me:Brought this free one home today. Didn't even need the truck to haul it
Awsome I had that as a kid and was trying remember the title. Played it all the time. Not sure what my parents did with it after I moved out.
Quoted from lurch:Yup. Wife is pissed. LOL. Couldnt help myself. Who wants a skee ball or shuffle bowler? Apparently they take up too much room in the garage (is that possible?)
Isn't that what garages are for? A place to put our games.
Technically brought this home Saturday night, almost Sunday by the time I got home. Was in that haul in the rain club this weekend. It was wrapped up tarped up and lifted up. Rained all day yesterday so still waiting to get unloaded and set up. Thanks to a friend and fellow pinsder Nevus for this one.
Quoted from NoQuarters:You have a theme going with backglass art
He needs a Bally SuperSonic next.
Quoted from bicyclenut:I drove 2 hours from my home to pick these up from a recycler that opened at 8am.
Glad to see your doing you’re part to help the environment, recycling recyclables.
What a deal.
Quoted from lurch:Not exactly a pin... But I'm just as excited.
[quoted image]
I picked one of those up and it gets played a lot do the dual game upgrade to it Area 51 and Maximum Force
Quoted from nascarrey:The guy in the car next to ya is wondering wth you're doing....lol
Gorgar?
The guy in the car next to him is thinking I wish he get off his phone.
Gorgar
The Batman was one of those adds that wouldn’t last long. Saw it at about 4:00 sent a message really thought it was already sold. Get a message at 8:30 and told the seller I’m on my way. Sure enough 1 1/2 later we are loading it and he already had 6 more people wanting it. I think my response to the add did the trick “I have cash and I can come pick it up tonight”
Quoted from radium:Was that the one listed for $200? Looked decent
Yes and it is. He had it listed for $199 I found a quarter in the game so I gave $198.75 for it. It’s going to clean up nice.
Quoted from Seatmandan:If he gave YOU the extra quarter, didn't you owe him $199.25 for it instead?
Actually I gave him $199 his asking price. I found a quarter in it so it only cost me $198.75. The game paid me back .25 the best part the 5 volts was low so just a cap kit that I already had a spare and it booted up.
Quoted from Sammyboy1976:Another classic saved from the evil clutches of the Grim Reaper lol.1972 Williams Honey. Got this beauty Wednesday, for the grand total of FREE!!! She was rescued from the barn of a foreclosure that my friends company was contracted to clean out. It was due for a dumpster later that afternoon. She needs a full restore but that's 80% of the fun for me. And as you can see I'm missing the whole relay board and score motor so I will be trying to source those parts soon.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
To the right of the machine in the picture of it in the barn where you picked it up looks like may have been the board with all of relays any way to check or has it all been cleaned out? You would think it would have been in there somewhere.
Spent the last two weeks on the road working. Get up early this morning check pinside project pins and see 1 in LA and better yet I pass right by the town on my way home. Send a message early this morning and nothing. About 30 min from the town and heard back from the seller. Ask if I can take a look and see if we can agree on a price. We do and it comes home with me. Best part plug it up (when home) and it comes on and seems to start a game but not kicking out the ball. She is dirty and once I drill out the locks I’ll clean her up and get her going. The owner said it didn’t work I didn’t even try it at his place as I was good with the price for the condition. And that’s not red paint its like some boat seat cover material. Check out the high scores.

Now I need to find a bowler forum.

Quoted from gutz:Feel...my...power!!
Quoted from Nihonmasa:Well it was an auction starting at 10 cts with a buy it now at 20 cts.
Bought it in the 10 mns it was created, thinking I had nothing to lose, it was either a mistake which the guy would then cancel or a guy needing to get rid of it.
Waited till the pick-up to brag but it was the second option! He did not even ask for the 20 cts bjt he got a great bottle of wine
My second free pinball so far!
If it was a scam I guess worse case you would have been out 20cts. Worth the chance
Technically brought home Tuesday. Picked it up on the way to weekly pinball league on Tuesday night. The plan was to take it out of the truck Wednesday morning. Well two broken daughters cars on Wednesday and that didn’t happen. Finally off loaded tonight reflowed some header pins on the MPU and she’s working. Still have more to do but glad she boots up and cycles through a game. (1 car fixed, looking like fuel pump on the other)
3B6B88E1-9F69-4D99-B3D7-2780392B484E (resized).jpegNot sure of the fate of this one, no backglass, playfeild in not so good condition. But it has a Alltek MPU and it had a pinscore display in it so it had to be working at some point. It was cheap enough so in the truck it went.

Corrected Faith to fate.
Quoted from bssbllr:Williams 69’ Gridiron pitch and bat. Guy that sold me the shuffle bowling for $50.00 said I could just have his “pinball machine.” So we just picked it up. [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
that's lagniappe
Quoted from jokerpoker:I’ve tried to buy this before but deal fell over. Beautiful HUO game and pimped with quite a few mods. Best of all I don’t think I’ve ever seen my wife so excited about a new game. So much so she says if I ever try to sell it she will buy it off me and that was after 1 game. Think she’s a keeper....the game too![quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Sell it to her so you can buy more games
So I got me one of those deals we hear about FREE. A friend calls me the other night and says I got you a free pinball machine. He is a arcade collector and I always let him know about deals. So some karma back to me he gives me a pinball he picked up for free the kicker is when I get to his place he says I got a box of pinball boards if you want it you can have it to. I did bring him a case of beer. It’s a project but it’s mine and was free

I know of a game like this. It’s at my wife’s friends cabin. It was given to their son when he was younger, it never gets played. I have offered to buy it several times but the family won’t sell it. It’s in need of repair and cleaning, I have offered to do both but they haven’t even taken me up on that.
With all this crazy weather in TX and LA it took about a week to get this deal done and luckily buyer #1 never showed I was second to contact the seller and he stuck to the order of who contact him. Loaded up and on its way to its new home.

[quoted image]
Definitely project status as it was bought out of a house due for demolition. Pulling the dusty glass shows the playfield has potential. . . from 10 paces away at least.
[quoted image]
It will clean up and it’s a fun game.
Quoted from shacklersrevenge:Wpc and sterns too, very easily.
The best advice for moving pins into and out of a vehicle is the fat half of a pool stick.
Thank me later
My buddy use the pool stick method. I just keep a few pieces of pvc in my vehicle.
Quoted from AndrewMC:Saw this for sale in a restarunt earlier this week and the timing couldn't have been better, having recently come into some cash. I decided to take it home. First pin for me, so far it's been so much fun to have in the house. The guy who sold it to me said everyone says they stop at one... we'll see if I've found a new pain in my wallet!
[quoted image]
If we all just stopped at one I don’t think there would be a pinside.
Quoted from kool1:She needs a good cleaning!
Ya this Po Boy very rarely buys working games. Pretty much stick with projects but get that same excitement finding them bringing them home and back to life. So it for sure needs a cleaning and going through.
A8061871-B2AC-4478-8DBE-6F3DEDC5B8A2 (resized).jpegLeft after work yesterday didn’t get home until a little after midnight so I guess we can call it today. I have been trying for years to buy this title from my wife’s friend and they would never sell. This one popped up yesterday so I grabbed it up. Now I can leave her friend alone on theirs.

There really wasn’t enough space to fit, but it’ll be a cold day in hell before I turn down a pinball!
