Just bought myself a Surf Champ. Plays ok , but after I clean and adjust everything I am sure it will play beautifully. I have a Fast draw that I restored ( took me a year ) and is a real joy to play and I plan to do the same with this one. With Fast draw I repainted everything from scratch and the outcome was marvelous ( https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/fast-draw-playfield-restoration-first-ever-attempt-/page/2#post-4481363 ) , I am not sure though If I have the courage to go all the way with this one.
Someone got creative and @painted@ some blue paint all over the place. Guess I will remove the Mylar , ME plus Alcohol , shoot a layer of clear , match colors and use a paintbrush to fix things up.

Quoted from bluespin:

You can buy a stencil for this title from Pinball Pimp. Look for articles on Pinside about cabinet repairs, fix up the cabinet, sand down the old paint, wood bondo, sand again, paint, then clear coat over the paint.

Since the cabinet graphics are still there , I itend to make my own stensils. The design looks simple so I guess it will not be that difficult.
