Paul says, "I think I'd like to try an EM". We enjoy the restoring process so, Ok, we look for a DAY and find this gem on facebook marketplace. Message the guy and steal it for $250. Turns out it has been in his family since new. He has NEVER seen it with the head off, and the rubbers have been changed probably once. It plays and the playfield is near perfect. It's a 1964 Williams River Boat. It needs some good lovin' and it will be a gem. Deals are out there!

Sir, Haven't been on this site long, and I am sure there are many like you, but I am in awe of your diverse collection. You should be so proud of your work and passion. To me, you are the one of the many hearts of this culture.

I told Paul, on our last trip to Pinball Gallery in Malvern, PA, I need a Roller Disco in my life. I was enamored by how gorgeous that game is!

#10693 6 months ago

I felt the same way, RonSS, but when I sidled up, it enchanted me. Might have been my state of mind, but I would still like one.. hit me up Jakers if you want to part with it at a decent price!

Stopped by Lloyd's warehouse sale in Hagerstown this morning to see if there was anything interesting for sale. He posted on his facebook page that he was having a major warehouse clearing out sale.

There were many rooms, and floors filled with so much stuff from gas pumps and scales to jukeboxes and arcade games!
IMG_20190308_105725_01 (resized).jpg

Came across a few pins, but nothing we wanted.
IMG_20190308_103809_01 (resized).jpg

I got lost in the maze deep in the catacombs, and had to "Oh Yeah!" it through a wall to get back, and stumbled upon this!

I immediately was taken back by the uncanny resemblance between the monster and myself, and had to have it!

So I bought myself a 1967 Bally Monster Gun EM shooter.
IMG_20190308_104221_01 (resized).jpg

As soon as I got home I pried open the back to see what makes this thing tick and.....
IMG_20190308_141109_01 (resized).jpg
.... I actually said aloud "What the fuck did I just get myself into??"

It's a good day.

Quoted from hazmat7719:

I am heading out there tomorrow morning. The pictures show a lot of good projects.

There's 10x the amount of machines shown in my pictures for sale. Projects galore! Unfortunately there are only a few project pins. When I left, there was; Millionaire, Spiderman, Diamond Lady, Baseball themed EMs, and a couple of older clapped out EMs.
There were 5 brandy new bingo playfields.
Have Fun!

I picked this great looking CYCLONE from ashburton on Tuesday. Drove 970 mile in 1 day (only 1 speeding ticket).
I first played this machine in 1989 at the University of Oklahoma student center, and is the one I’ve always wanted.
The kids and wife love it!

Hey you.. With the face!!... Congrats!
That's a really nice Cyclone.

Very excited about this one. It's been awhile between pins. Paul's driving back from a pick up as I write this. Any guesses? Slight clue on his shirt. Like how his plaid matches the blanket.

We got it from Jesterfunhouse. Great guy!

#11518 3 months ago

Lever is there, don't know if he had to remove it to fit it in the crv. I'm sure he'll want to post pictures when he gets back

#11520 3 months ago

Can't wait until it gets back, going down to the gameroom now to move Big Guns over so he'll fit it in He's been a SW fan since it came out in 77 so this is his pin. Mine is Cyclone. Few years back I had an art print made of the outside of the movie theater he first saw SW. So, yes, he kinda likes the franchise

#11522 3 months ago

Might need a little more room, but this Amazon chick did most of it

Forgot to say it's a Williams Grand Prix that was owned for the past 30 years by a guy that said it was too expensive to fix.

Quoted from RonSS:

If you don't know what you're doing, $30/HR could add up real quick.

He said the guy he was using to fix it was going to charge him $50 an hour

My first em! Can never have too many coaster based pins. Thanks to zacaj for an easy transaction and for hauling it from Rochester to the Albany area![quoted image]

Nice pick-up! I recently told Paul we need a Rollercoaster to be a big brother to our Cyclone Do you have all of the rollercoaster themed pins now?

#12178 51 days ago
Quoted from jaytrem:There's about 15 Coaster/Amusement Park ones that I now know of

Wow! I didn't know there were so many! Going to do some research on them now. I really like that Roller coaster one though, first habittrail and a great backglass!

Heading back from Bethlehem PA with another project, this time, Olympic Hockey! We're thinking of a few neat mods to add to the experience of the game play. (Had to stop at Schell's hot dogs for a bite!)
Thanks to Scott_K387 and Scott Jr, two great pinheads who made the pick up so easy!

Quoted from Colsond3:

Congrats on that game! I was really debating grabbing it. In my opinion there’s not enough hockey themed games.

We're glad you didn't! They're definitely not enough hockey themed games out there, we're hockey fans so we are excited to get it.
We're thinking of hacking the buzzer and putting the "foghorn" goal sound in when you get a goal. We also have a rotating beacon light we picked up years ago at a yard sale for a few bucks not sure what we would use it for, now we know. Get a goal, beacon and foghorn goes off!
