Quoted from kidchrisso:

What was the going price on that MM?

Got if for about the price of a nice TZ. (Less than a NIB MMR).

An awesome Pinsider helped me pick up this guy this morning.

I hope you bought that guy a 12 pack - that is one heavy pin!

What vehicle is that in? Looks like it just barely made it!
Chris

Very observant. I have moved plenty of pins, always use my wife's Durango, which was in the shop. That is my X5. I measured before I left home and thought it would fit, but when we started sliding it in I was sweating because it definitely looked iffy. Made it though, with < 0.5" to spare. Really was a lucky day.

For years my wife has thought POTC would be fun. Grabbed this one today. My second Stern to balance the W/Bs.
2 drivers. 474 miles each way. Left 10PM last night and got back 3PM today on a holiday weekend. Tired but happy.

Is the wife happy? I hope she is. I enjoy mine still after 5 years.

She's had only limited time on it so far. But she likes the art work.

Not looking for one, wasn't on my wish list, but too good to pass up. After couple weeks I'm thinking it was a good decision.

Seller gave me a copy of the original receipt where he purchased it from an arcade in 1997 for $2850. It sat in his house ever since. Not a lot of plays. Needs a good tuneup and clean up but should be real sweet once that's done.

Did you at least give him $2900

Are you kidding? That machine is now 20 years older - he should have paid me to take it!

But yes, I think he did OK since he probably spent very little on it after he bought it - looks like the original rubbers, bulbs, etc.

Quoted from wantdataeast:

Geez, I sort of want to say the dude paid too much in 1997 for it at $2850 after two years on location. What was the retail on this pin in 1995?
I just remember hearing on some Todd Tuckey video he mention the many of the 90's Bally Williams game going for $750-$1000 when they were pulled off location.
What a great score for you... TOM is on my short list

I thought the same thing when he showed me the receipt. I think that operator really made out, routed the machine for two years and then probably got most or all of his purchase price back.

Technically I picked it up a little over a week ago but have been busy, still have to post it because it's tradition. Been waiting on a nice spidey for a while.

My first ever trip to trade a pin. Gave up my Stern POTC for a nice JJP!

Busy few weeks for me. Grabbed a NIB Avengers Infinity Wars from a fellow Pinsider. First NIB for me and it has been issue free out of the box.

Then this weekend picked up a nice JP premium from a different Pinsider. Should hold me for a while!

Quoted from Ryguy80:

Magtag made a Skybox can/bottle dispenser for a while, but have since discontinued making them. Had quality problems with the compressor failing on many units, so beverages came out warm.
https://www.designcentral.com/work/maytag-skybox-home-vending-machine

Yep. I bought one brand new from Home Depot probably 20 years ago when they first came out. Since then bought two others used off craigslist to get parts to continuously rebuild it to keep it running. Trick is to tap the compressor line and just recharge the coolant periodically; but it’s a lot of effort and parts are becoming harder to find.
