Well it's not home yet, but I won a really nice Bally Hang Glider last night in the 1984 Arcade Win a Pin pinball league!! The game is in very good condition and plays great. I plan to do a few touch-ups on the playfield and clear coat it, and then repaint the cabinet. It will be a fun project.

Quoted from TxJay:

Awesome! Was that a drawing or did you win the tournament?

It was a drawing to make it fair for everyone, not just the really good players. You had to participate in 6 of the 8 league nights to be eligible for the drawing. You also had to be present to win. We each paid $4.00 every league night and you could earn extra entries during league play by earning the most points for the night and also extra for finishing in the top 4 of the league tournament. It was an awesome promotion and my lucky night! Thanks to 1984 Arcade and pinball_eugene for running the league.

That's great! The guys at 1984 are some of the best. I try to go there whenever I am in Springfield. Usually twice a month on average.

Yeah they are great guys. Have you been to Meta Games Unlimited when your in Springfield? Me, my brother - GOV, a friend - JDOZ2, and my dad have some games on location there. We currently have 7 games with more coming in the next month or two. You can't see the games when you walk in the store, they are in the back of the game playing area. I hope you check it out. Well it wasn't today, but this last Saturday I picked up a Twilight Zone.

Looks great! Original unfaded cabinet or a re-decal?

I'm pretty sure it's an original cabinet.

Nice TZ
Really like that chrome....

Actually the only part of the chrome that is nice are the legs. The side rails are stock rails and someone covered them with a chrome wrap. In person they look like crap. The lockbar is chromed and the top is nice but there is a spot on the front edge, so it isn't perfect. These are the reasons I will have the armor powder coated black, plus I really like that look. I will keep the chrome legs, I have another set of black legs that I will have powder coated. If I can find a nice original lockbar I will keep the chrome one or sell it.

Quoted from indypinhead:

I see what you mean now that I've taken a closer look.

Oh and I forgot that who ever chromed the head hinges chromed the wrong side. The insides are nice but the side you see looks like the backside of a chrome bumper. It's still a nice machine and will be great after powder coating.

It looks like you or the original owner did the Great Lakes Modular mod for the mini playfield removing those grey rubber caps that cover the mini-playfield switch kit. Wondering wh as the you think of it?

I think the Great Lakes Modular mini playfield switch kit is one of the best mods for Twilight Zone. One of the previous owners installed this one but I don't think its that difficult to install. I would highly recommend it. It definately cleans up the look of the mini playfield and works great.

After a long 2 year search I finally found a beautifully restored Flash Gordon. There's no better feeling when you finally obtain your #1 grail pin, and the condition & gameplay is far beyond your expectations
Emperor Ming Awaits!

Wow!!! That is stunning....

I would like to see pics of your JD all setup. I haven't seen one with red armor before.

Picked up a beautiful IM VE this morning in St. Louis, then went and played a few hours at CP Pinball with my brother. Had a great day!

I just picked up my Star Wars Pro

Unfortunately I was told it didn't ship with code and that Stern was mailing me the SD card, so I won't be able to play it until that shows up

I picked up this Stargate at TPF this year. It needs some work and repairs but is going to clean up real nice.

Went to a farm auction last weekend and picked up some projects. The guy was an operator for 28 years and everything had been sitting in a barn on dirt floors for probably 20+ years. I picked up a Stars, Bobby Orr Power Play, and a Joker Poker parts machine that time got the better part of. Then on the way home I bought a working Stars from pinsider Parabol420. I plan to do full restorations on both of the Stars and the Bobby Orr Power Play. The Joker Poker will be stripped of anything usable and what is left of the cabinet will be burned.

I picked up this at the Texas Pinball Festival this past weekend. The playfield was really dirty and has bare spots, but I plan to do a full restore at some point. The cabinet is pretty nice and backglass is in good shape just faded a little.
