Quoted from RWH:

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed PA. appears to be the pinball mecca of the States??? Look back through this thread pinball machines are flying all over the place in that state, like watching an ant colony.

Yup. Just picked this up on Saturday from @teddyb73. Fun drive! Drove though a torrential storm and everything. Also, I have a rule that cheesesteaks must be purchased if I’m anywhere near Philly.

Anyone that’s curious, a modern Stern fits perfectly, literally kisses the ceiling, of a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

When I first showed my daughter the game the next day I set the high score. Haven’t gotten anywhere close since. This game kicks my ass, but I can’t stop playing!

Quoted from dirkdiggler:

Any pics of said cheesesteaks?

I was so hungry I could only think to devour them.

Quoted from Y3AG3R:

Picked this one up on Friday. Has a few issues to work out but I hadn’t ever played one before. It’s a ton of fun!
[quoted image]

Another Pop collector I see, nice! Love the Marvel collection you have. You can see part of my collection in my IM pic a few posts above. Love Taxi, congrats!

Quoted from GorillaBiscuits:

teddyb73 dropped off a sweet Aerosmith today. Thanks buddy!
[quoted image]

Saw this one in person when I picked up IM, sweet looking and fun pin for little money. Well done!

Quoted from mikeatsparkys:

First new pin in a long time, at least since moving to LA. I bought this very low play Goldeneye (226 plays). I assume its HUO but can't 100% confirm. Just stoked to be able to play pinball again, haha.[quoted image]

Holy shit that’s clean. From here it looks HUO. Great pickup!

Quoted from Coindork:

Picked up a couple playable projects last night.
Lethal Weapon 3 and Stern Galaxy.[quoted image]

That cactus and that view, take me there.

I’m sure that’s the equivalent of your everyday coffee run, but it’s gold for those of us with concrete jungles!

Have never bought this many pins so close together and I’m sure I never will again, but man, what a rush!

September: X-Men LE Wolverine (Brooklyn, NY)

October: Jurassic Park (DE) (shipped from Michigan)

November: Tron LE (Brooklyn, NY)

All from Pinsiders

The Tron has been my grail since I entered the game. By far the nicest and most ridiculously priced game in my collection.

The JP spent only one year on location and has the scoops to prove it.

X-Men is criminally underrated. Wasn’t on my must have list, but after spending some time with it my mind was changed.

Sadly, on the same day I picked up Tron, I sold my very first pin: Back to the Future. This game was in stellar shape and fully working. I needed the space for the future (pun intended) and my friend has wanted the game for a long time. It was time to let it go. We also struck the deal at 1am and moved it out of my basement right after... this was after moving in Tron and bullshitting for a few hours. In the running for latest sale of 2020?

I hope you enjoyed my little story, as this will be my last acquisition post for a while since I blew my toy budget for a long, long time.

Quoted from Pinkitten:

Congrats on your new pins. Tron is a fav of mine and both X-Men and DE JP are solid games. I had a nib Magneto about 2 years ago and let it go too fast. I had a DE JP and really enjoyed it! Great modes and call outs. Trex is an awesome toy! That game is fun to add mods to. Ian, Freeze!!!

Thanks! Love the art package on Magneto, might be a top 5 backglass. And yes, spent the last month installing mods on JP that I’ve been acquiring for years. This is where I’m at currently. Plan on painting the metal at some point next year to match the caution theme and getting a color DMD and PinSound. I want to feel like I’m in the movie.

Love the Scott Pilgrim shirt!

Haha, thanks! I was wondering if anyone here would recognize it. Usually people read sex and then give me a weird look.

Quoted from Briks-707:

I ordered this custom 2-1 4k Virtual pinball machine back in April and finally took delivery yesterday. At the time the plan was to have one real pin and this virtual machine for my home arcade. 8 months and 10 pins later, now I don’t even have space for it, damn this hobby lol.
[quoted image]

Did the same thing. Started with a BTTF and a Virtual Pinball 2000, and the setup was satisfying for years... but then I hit up an arcade with a pinball row a couple years ago and the addiction kicked in. 7 years later I’m up to 6 pins, still have the Virtual P2K and sold the BTTF. Lol.

Quoted from Briks-707:

Not a real machine but when I couldn’t find a real BK2K I decided this 1/4 scale mini replica Vpin was the next best thing! I love novelty items like these. All the buttons and plunger are fully functional, coin door even opens. It’s a great conversation piece for the game room and it’s the one pin that fits on a shelf haha.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

That’s really neat!

Quoted from GorillaBiscuits:

Picked up a bone stock Sopranos that came with the original box and looks brand new.
Speaking of brand new, my basement/house/city is new too! Can’t wait to set up the rest of the collection and meet some other Buffalo pinball lunatics when the smoke clears!
[quoted image][quoted image]

Was that zlorya’s from Syracuse? Great pickup, I was second in line. If you ever decide to sell, think of me, your neighbor down south.

Congrats on the new house and welcome to NY! And enjoy the playoffs, I’m sure that town is rocking right now.

Quoted from Lhyrgoif:

Not really a pickup, more of a drop-off. A friend ordered an EHOH Blood Red Kiss Edition and had it sent directly to me. I will pimp it with some mods and other stuff and then It stays here so I can play it until he picks it up later on.
[quoted image]
The game is gorgeous. Powdercoated legs and trim, a lot of the red is glittering, the pics doesn't really do it justice. It kind of remind me of centaur with the simplistic colorscheme.
[quoted image]
[quoted image]
Played a few balls to verify everything was working ok, then removed ~80% of the upside to install a playfield protector and red plastic protectors. Probably not what most new NIB owners does 15 minutes after receiving a new game
[quoted image]

Damn that game is sick. Love that color scheme. Reminds me of Centaur too.

You’re not alone, after I unboxed my NIB GB I tore it down to install a playfield protector without having played a single game on it. The wait was torture but it motivated me to finish faster.

#28178 80 days ago
Quoted from MrBigg:

Playfield protectors are a really added value. Going one better with 3 extra coats of 2k clear when I redo this supersonic 2.0 as well. Just got my new playfield back from printer, and I'll be redoing all the mechs, and pops to modern transparent with LEDs as well. Should be a nice machine when it's complete.
Thanks for the compliment on my homebrew.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Heck yeah, that’s going to look amazing! I also def prefer tons of clear over a protector, good call. Be sure to share pics once it’s done

Picked up this survivor yesterday. Original playfield. Not bad for a 40 year old game

Quoted from darkryder:

Local couple in SF are moving out of state and needed their RFM gone. They’ve owned it since 2001 and it’s HUO. Paid $2200 and it works perfectly and just needed a good cleaning. It also came with a spare NOS playfield! Going to order some Titan rubbers, mirror balls, new left saucer and a few other things, but it doesn’t need much! I forgot how funny this game is, especially the Bill Clinton call outs, ha ha
Oh, and I also bought a mint NECA gremlin one of 500 while I was there for $300. This thing was too cool to pass up! My wife doesn’t like it, but she’ll come around. All in all, a good day!

I’m not as familiar with P2K games (ironically my virtual pin is in a replica P2K cabinet) but I’m curious why there are two keyholes in the front of the cab? The one to the left of the coin door, what’s that do?

Awesome pickup by the way!

Quoted from rygar:

The left one is a location keyhole. By unlocking it you can remove the glass to fix ball hangups or do some other maintenance on the playfield but you cannot lift the playfield to access inside of the cabinet.

That’s super smart. I assume that’s aftermarket right, or do they all have that feature from the factory?

#28566 21 days ago
Quoted from darkryder:

Yes, it's a factory feature and I fumbled with it for a few minutes trying to lift the playfield before figuring out I had to unlock that lock. I had a flawless HUO RFM in the past and it was exactly the same. The game is super funny, though not as crude as Rick & Morty. It's fun to play AFM and RFM and compare the similarities. The glare from the CRT display off the special Pin2K glass is pretty bad, but it was a cool idea!

Cool, thanks for confirming!

Yeah, I played RFM at Modern Pinball in NYC before it closed, I was loving every minute of it. Wish P2K would’ve spawned a few more games. I love the concept. Wish we’d see some more fresh concepts like that in modern pinball, but I guess that’s what P3 is doing and we should be happy for that, ha!

Quoted from Insanity199:

Went to Florida on spring break with family. While down there found a deal on a couple wish list machines. Decided to pick both of them up and rent a Chrysler Pacifica for a one way trip to get them home. Had to drive home alone but all worked out.
Not in their permanent locations but all working well.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Bless you sir, this would never fly with my family

Nice pickups!
