I'm sorry I think I heard wrong, did you say FREE?????

Hell yeah!

How??

#12669 4 years ago
Quoted from TractorDoc:

Yesterday turned out to be a Classic Stern Haul-A-Day for me.
[quoted image]
I did make the trip to pickup the Seawitch from tdiddy (Thanks again!), but look close in the cargo hold and there is a bit more hiding under those blankets.
I originally had plans to pickup a playfield yesterday that I've been pestering the seller about for awhile. While making the playfield pickup I had the opportunity to be the new owner of a second/additional playfield. . . it was difficult to say no (so I didn't ).
[quoted image]
Finally, this was the original goal. A populated Cheetah playfield that I've been told was in the rafters of a barn for many years. Definitely dirty and some planking is present but less artwork wear than what my current game has. Perhaps between the two I can send some plastics to CPR to have new ones made/available.
[quoted image]
The domestic Cheetah approves!

Digging that Bruce Lee!

Quoted from RWH:

You can wear the air here in Cincy and it's not going to change anytime soon.

Lol, that's good!

I grew up in Florence, and the humidity is worse in South Texas, but I prefer that over busting my ass on ice an snow

#12792 4 years ago
Quoted from RonSS:

Pretty certain Elvira comes with plastic already!

Lol, see what you did there!

#12852 4 years ago
Quoted from MikeO:

Just picked up this Atlantis yesterday. While hard to believe, no, it wasn't in a fire.
Unfortunately, no, it isn't washing off either. Story is the previous owner was a really big smoker.[quoted image]

600 grit wet sand it

#12855 4 years ago
Quoted from MikeO:

All I've tried so far is a good general cleaner I use and then magic eraser with isopropyl alcohol.
I'll try mean green and the 600 grit wet sanding. Anything would be better than having to repaint this because the rest of it is quite nice.

I'm restoring my fire damaged Fire!

I use 400 grit and alloy foaming cleaner from the dollar tree, and my art is coming back , I told you 600 grit to avoid needing additional touchups, the smoke on my machine is/was very thick, the foaming cleaner is applied after a quick 2 or 3 minute sanding constantly moving, then spray the foamer on an let it soak for about 5 mins , wipe off with a rag, you'll be amazed how much Better it'll look in an hour's time

Quoted from gianfri:

I got a phone call from a guy who didn't know which pinball model his grandfather had in the cellar.
Zaccaria was the only known information.
In my hopes there were few models I was looking for since a while now.
I then tried to give some hints which were part of my hopes: "Is it a theme with an almost naked woman with batterfly...", and the answer was: "yes, that's it"
Bingo!
I drove there and I brought it home
[quoted image]
[quoted image]

Wayyyy coool!

#12937 4 years ago
Quoted from Puffdanny:

Going to give it a shop job before moving to its new spot.no cabinet fade, little to no playield wear and only a little insert wear.I was told it sat in a mansion for the last 20 years.[quoted image][quoted image]

Best looking non restored FT I've seen!!!! Congrats on a great pin!

Quoted from orangegsx:

Wasn’t expecting to get a rollergames, not mad about it either![quoted image]

Quoted from Nihonmasa:

Great game! You'll enjoy it! On my wishlist

Love the campy advertising, Slice! On my list too

#13068 4 years ago
Quoted from Spyderturbo007:

Just had this delivered today. Got it from the same operator I bought my Avatar and Rolling Stones from previously.
It’s in pretty good shape, but needs a good cleaning and some mechs rebuilt. It plays 100%.
I put a new DMD in when I got it home because the old one had a bunch of lines through it.
Cabinet is a little beat up, but I don’t mind. Playfield is great except for some wear in front of the drop target.
Not bad for having $10,959.75 through it.
[quoted image]
[quoted image]

Did you get a good deal?

#13083 4 years ago
Quoted from ckcsm:

Great pin hauler!
Those fold away seats are the ticket; I used to have a Chevy Venture extended van, but you had to remove all the seats for that, what a PITA.

Or a 15 passenger Chevy van with seats removed, never tried to fill it up, but I bet i could get at least 6 in it

#13158 4 years ago
Quoted from robertmee:

Evaluating....elvira is the only one I'll probably end up keeping. The rest I'll either pass on as projects or restore a few. The playfields are the tough ones...many 60s, 70s gottliebs and ballys with all the mechs still attached. 90% of the platfields are populated to some degree. Some with nice art, some worn. I just am not well versed in EMs.

Sent you a pm

Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:

Or maybe like this? Just picked this up after playing tag with a flaky CL seller. After failing to show up twice I gave it one last shot and a crazy, old cat lady showed up in a car loaded with stickers declaring “Catitude”
She claims she bought it from an operator in Long Island when she was 18 and has owned it for over 45 years. Amazingly the game actually starts right up and after fixing one bent relay switch, it works pretty darn well!
Kinda cool, never worked on an EM this old!

A big time project Drop a Card but the price was right (free)Thanks JimFNB. Also not from York but picked up in Oh on the way there, a new cab for my project WW from Quartereater. The last big piece I need to get started on that.
[quoted image]
And made a trade with gdonovan for a Gottlieb Hots Shots. This was in the pic with the Flip Flop I didn't take lol.
Also bought a Ready Aim Fire pf and traded skip a couple of parts games for a Buck Rogers and Flip Flop pf and a better cab for the D a C

Is there a good story to go with that?

Don't know all the details,

But, this was in a Mexican restaurant in San Antonio in the 90's , not sure exactly when it closed. But there is a family living in the building now

This poor pin was in a storage building behind the place

Bluespin and I hit the credit button on a Popeye at TPF 3 years back. Let's just say, there was no line backed up to play and we did not stick around. Although, I think we managed to play all 3 balls before we walked.
but 243 pinsiders own it and 184 want it. So what do I know. At least there are 184 people to sell to

Dig out a quarter and you can flip for your choice. Heads is GNR. Tails is RM.

It will be Heads

#19804 3 years ago
Quoted from KSUWildcatFan:

Awesome! Really the PF isn't necessary to remove, but I just don't trust pushing against the cab with my body weight (with it just 'falling' down the stairs) so the only way I try taking things down solo is if it's completely in parts, with the playfield going down by itself. But really the head needs to come off for two people to comfortably take a game down. Head on requires 3 in order to guarantee nothing gets damaged as it goes down, just because of the logistical nightmare of the sharp 90 and the too-small landing. My wife is going to curse my name forever if I drop dead before I sell everything...lmao

Time for a new house

#19806 3 years ago
Quoted from KSUWildcatFan:

Hahahaha, or just stop moving pins around for a bit. Hopefully my HS coming home, Space Shuttle leaving, and BKSOR joining are the last moves I make for a while. I've moved 25 games up and down these stairs in two years, I think it's time to settle down and play for a bit.

Lol....yeah sure

At 32 and the number just keeps growing

#19808 3 years ago
Quoted from KSUWildcatFan:

lol
I'm feeling pretty good about the lineup and will be stingy AF with my budget for a bit, so maybe that will help keep me away from purchases, at least temporarily. One can hope, right?! Because probably not.

Picked these up few days ago

#20141 2 years ago
Quoted from KSUWildcatFan:

OK OK OK OK OK OK OK I don't want to act like I think I'm 'too good' for a pin like LW3, it's just that in a collection of 7 like I have...I feel like the cutline is past something like LW3. Obviously if I could have more--10, 15, 20, etc--that dynamic would change. But yeah.
Tbh I don't hate the way it plays. The shots are kind of cool and I love the ramp. The sound is.... Very annoying. But the game isn't that bad. Making progress on shopping it out; it's suuuuuper dirty. I've got the ugliest part left before I'm done....
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

I've passed on half a dozen NICE LW3 lately....the collection is growing crazy fast, the SG and ID4 this week, FT and DH 2 weeks ago, been a WILD start to 2021, but I've owned a peschi screamer before lol
