A little late on this one but just picked up a Fire!

Quoted from dothedoo:

Original playfield? Looks to be in really nice shape.

Yep. Looks to be factory Mylar. Has bubbles in it over some inserts but doesn't bother me or affect gameplay. Only wear is around the ladder ramp hole and the adv x inserts at the top horseshoe lane.

Plastics are cracked in various spots around the buildings, but I am sure that is very common on this game.

Loved seeing the BBB. I was watching for a zizzle or the pin but haven't seen one in awhile. Thought it be good for little kids to learn on.

You should get them on the real thing, much better learning experience if you as me!

Nice. Finally found a big game. Congrats!

#2086 8 years ago
Quoted from rcbrown316:

right on man! both catacomb and big game are in nice shape and are prime restoration candidates. meteor needs a bit too much and well... its meteor. i love the game but dont want to be foolish.

Well from what I've seen you do to some of your other early SS games I'm excited to see what you do with Big Game.

Quoted from MCE_LLC:

I picked up Jungle Queen as a project pin through Craigslist. It was in someone's basement for 15 years and then a garage for 3-5 years. Play count is ~22000. It has some EM issues that need to be sorted out. It's my first EM pin and my first project so I expect it to take a while. Physically, it's in great shape.I love the artwork. The backglass is in great shape. The playfield is pretty good as well.It seems to have held up well. What is all this stuff? The problem is here somewhere. I just know it.

So jealous. That thing looks like tip top shape. Congrats!

#2126 8 years ago
Quoted from Pindufus:

Well, looks like I am in the running for 'turd of the year'. Picked this up today for $100 and may have overpaid at that price. Playfield and backglass aren't too bad. Cabinet is poor, especially the particle board back. Had to drill the front lock to get inside and saw some of the handiwork of the seller's "electronic genius newphew" who maintained the machine. Looks like I'm getting some of my money back as well.......
Lots of work to do on this one. Haven't decided yet if I'm going to part it out or try to do a reasonable restore.

Paid the same for an Aztec in similar shape last year. Funny thing is when I got it there was a screw in the fuse holder. Haha. I never got it to work and gave it away for free a couple months ago.

2 pins 1 van. Also drives great. Love my Honda Odyssey. This is the second one I have owned.

Martin Riggs: Hey, look friend, let's just cut the shit. Now we both know why I was transferred. Everybody thinks I'm suicidal, in which case, I'm fucked and nobody wants to work with me; or they think I'm faking to draw a psycho pension, in which case, I'm fucked and nobody wants to work with me. Basically, I'm fucked.
Roger Murtaugh: Guess what?
Martin Riggs: What?
Roger Murtaugh: I don't want to work with you!
Martin Riggs: Hey, don't.
Roger Murtaugh: Ain't got no choice! Looks like we both been fucked!
Martin Riggs: Terrific.
Roger Murtaugh: God hates me. That's what it is.
Martin Riggs: Hate him back; it works for me.

Quoted from herbertbsharp:

Man I love these things. I think they are very often overlooked. The music is awesome on most of them and most of the layouts are very creative. Bone Busters is like nothing else, really original and interesting layout.. non-traditional slings, 1 pop bumper, player controlled diverter. It was worth the 2 years it took me to track it down.

I discovered Robowar at LAX last year. Never had lines because it was in the middle of a bunch of DMD games. I played the shit out of it and fell in love.

Quoted from Minneapolispin:

I sold my Game Show over the weekend and bought an absolutely gorgeous Demolition Man from a buddy. It’s the nicest condition non-HUO game I’ve ever seen. It’s totally shopped with new rubber and all LED bulbs. It looks and plays amazing.

Lucky. Hopefully when I'm ready to buy again I can find an uber nice DM. Love that game.

I grabbed this awesome Breakshot from ZMeny.
You can buy with confidence from Zach. Outstanding comms, upfront, & honest. Another buyer who picked up two pins before I got there offered him more money for the Breakshot I was buying. (DBag move)
Zach turned them down flat. He even gave us beverages for the trip home. I would buy from him again & is welcome to come play at my place anytime. Great Pinsider.
Thanks Brother,
Lee

Congrats buddy. Glad you found your breakshot. Sorry I had to miss you passing through. Guess I'll see you at the CLE show in a little over a month!

I really like the data east games of that period. I've not put a ton of games on lw3 but it seems cool. I traded with a friend who owed me one basically so it's not like I stole it or anything. I believe it will be a fun game

10.5 hrs drive on a weekday to pick up this little guy. Got home at 1:30am just dumped the thing in the garage and hit the sack.
combo le HUO for less than $3800. I couldn't resist. It does need a touch up in the cab but otherwise really nice.
I had to take the head off which will be fun putting back together tonight.

Wow. Great score.

Beautiful Bally Star Trek that I recently picked up just put a stop to my plans to restore another rough one that I have. I should be able to nearly cover the cost of this machine buy reselling my CPR Bally Star Trek Playfield and Plastic set. Finally good vintage machine that does not need a major restoration.

Nice find!! Go Cats!

Just waiting on the boards to come back from service to fire it up!

#18069 3 years ago
Quoted from rollitover:

Looks good cw.
I always liked how Gottliebs
had such game specific spinners.
Panthera being no exception.
Enjoy

This spinner may get the ax. It’s spins pretty well, but not how I like them. Gottlieb has silver metal spinners that rip, I may drop one in here.

Figured it would look good next to big game too.

Story is that a fully populated Hoops playfield plays great in a Vegas cabinet!

You better not kill that Vegas.

#18458 3 years ago

He’s probably just going to use the Vegas to be able to swap in the hoops if he wants to play it. Should be pretty easy if you have both games’ roms.

The GOAT! That backglass looks flawless.

#18710 3 years ago

Take another look. I'll probably be in the market for a replacement for it or try to touch it up.
The good news is the playfield has just a little insert wear in the center otherwise perfect.

Weird. I guess I just can’t see it since it’s not lit up.

#18712 3 years ago

If that’s all, you still have a great glass. The reds are usually mostly gone.
