ST Premium- it's about time!
Quoted from MT45:
Big Betty's Truck Stop arrived today via STI. Seller did amazing job packing. By far, best packaging on a pallet I've ever seen. Had only enough time to unpack and quick game or two. Good not perfect condition. No playfield wear but mylar bubbling everywhere. May try to reheat and stick to PF. Plastics good. Ramps missing two very small pieces that are really cosmetic. Game plays really well and both flipper sets are strong. Game is really clean under PF but needs a good shop out and new rubbers, a few new posts. Can't wait to get after it!

Ive never even heard of that! That looks like soooooo much fun!!!!
Quoted from Starscream:
BBB #11 finally delivered to Rockland pinball!
Big thanks to Rob (Gwaxt72) for help with the unboxing and lugging into my house
What a game, those capcom flippers sure are snappy! Even those special high power coils made for STTNG can't compare to these!
Missing a few pics from the unboxing which didn't come out too well, it was hard to contain myself and take pics at the same time
Holy moly! I love that game, I could never bring one home though, at least I can play it digitally, I hope it's a ton of fun for you !!!! " Welcome to Big Bang!"
Quoted from tdunbar:
Came in yesterday evening and bought it to save it for future generations. Played fine at sellers but now randomly lockups so now need to figure out why it worked then but not so well now. I can play it for a while then like a get no DMD or backox lights or flipper power, so a power issue somewhere. This is a really strange and rare game so I took a gamble on it. Am I stupid or just a classic guy that wants to keep these alive. Its in really good physical shape except maybe the cabinet. The seller will help me and local pin gurus are available locally so we will get it going and keep it alive.
Albuquerque? I guess you got it from Daniel?? Give him a call if so, I bet he will help, really good guy!
Fantastic buy, what a cool piece of history!
Is that the one that was on eBay? I almost bought it and had it shipped, almost, playfield and topper looked awesome
Quoted from uncivil_engineer:
Yes, it was listed on eBay as well as Craigslist. The only flaw I have found on the playfield is a small wear spot near the far left saucer eject. Mechanically, it is great shape, with all the original boards with all the factory warranty stickers still on them.
I love this thread, awesome Kauai pics, I bet that was the most anticipated pin aquire wait on this thread
Quoted from schudel5:
So this is strange. I'm out in the driveway replacing the brakes on my car, when a truck pulling a trailer drives in. The guy gets out and says he's a friend of a guy I know that I've done some pinball work for. Says he's just picked up a game and wants to know if I'm interested. Can't pass up a deal on a Magnotron. Wasn't even looking.
I don't know if I'm more excited about your cool story, or the Cyclopes sitting in the background!!!
Quoted from ForceFlow:
Just picked up an Atari Atarians. Now I should be able to confirm and add some of the missing pinwiki info about this game, since there's a few differences between this one and later Atari games.
The game coins up and flips, but the displays were out. It very well might be just a fuse!
Not only is this game fairly uncommon, but one interesting thing about this particular game is that the original owl-eye coin door was replaced with a Bally video arcade game coin door--likely because the owl-eye coin door was easy to defeat with the coin-on-a-string trick. Luckily, I already found a spare owl-eye coin door that I can use to replace it.
I now have 4 examples of the 6 Atari themes produced (not counting Hercules). I just need Time 2000 and Space Riders to complete the Atari collection.
Here's a couple photos of it still wrapped up as I was unloading it.
was the backglass nice?
Quoted from jmountjoy111:
This one has full mylar. It is filthy dirty but really in nice shape. It booted up with the old board but it had acid damage. It came with a new rottendog MPU but the processor chip was damaged on the old board so I guess I'll have to order one of those.
one of my first games... my family loved it, I, well... your looks really good, I love the sewer pop out, thats a really cool feature I think new pinball should look at adding in
Quoted from Atlgills:
A friend called me and informed me that someone he knew was cleaning out a warehouse and it had a few pins in it that were going to be smashed and thrown in the dumpster if no one picked them up that day. This is what I collected. 11 total. Yesterday was a good day my friends!
Wow, what a honey pot!
Quoted from ForceFlow:
I just dragged home a second Stern Lectronamo. I'll probably combine the best of the two to make a good one and okay one. Both were routed, but this one is the better of the two I now have.
At some point, a previous owner replaced the MPU with an alltek.
You know you have a sickness in this hobby when you start buying duplicates....
I thought I was the only one loosely looking for one of these
Nice grab, can't hurt having 2
Quoted from Dante:
LOL, Local Craigslist. I was out of town for the holidays and saw it come up. Never thought it would last long enough for me to get home. Four day later it was still there. Supposedly, it's a one owner machine - don't know about that - but who ever had must have had it in storage for the last 10 years with all this dust/dirt. I'm going to be cleaning this for the next 6 months.
No Doubt, but That's the way I like em, makes them cheaper to haul off
Quoted from Spyderturbo007:
I actually got this about a week ago, but thought I would post it anyway.
I ran out of room in one of the bedrooms I stole for a game room while I finish the basement in my new house. Well, lets just say I ran out of room. My wife loved playing WoZ so much before I bought one that she told me to put it in the dining room for now. Best wife ever!
Yes you did! I have the same story!
Quoted from cheshirefilms:
I was in an Uber a few days ago and brought up pinball. Turned out his buddy was looking to dump these two beautiful games to pay his house tax bill. I was thrilled to do my part.
Sunny Drive time! love it when a deal works out... and you can throw them in the back of the pickup on a Texas sunny day
Quoted from Pecos:
The seller didn't know how to remove the backbox and hadn't read Pinside to learn the "proper" way to move a pin. Needless to say he was sick about it - especially when he found out what it would take to repro the original. It's a lesson to us all. I will try to make lemonade out of lemons and maybe something good will come from it.
I sure hope it turns out well, so sad when such rare stuff gets broken
Picked this up from a friend this weekend, lots to tighten up and needs some missing parts, but a nice playing game after a wrench twist
... And no, my pole position isn't working and is not for sale, lol
Quoted from hooch333:
660 miles round trip in one day for my emotional grail.........farthest I ever traveled for a pin..........back in the early 80's this is what I played while everyone else was dumping their quarters to learn "patterns" on Pac-Man
Beautiful game! I traveled far for mine too, put in over a hundred hours to make it gorgeous. It definitely is a heart throb to have a nice BK, super pumped for you
Quoted from Adrian:
G'day to everyone form Perth Western Australia, well I'm a Gottlieb fan and had the opportunity to bring home this gem. The backglass is a perfect 10/10 I thought it was a translight however it's original. The machine is Australian delivered and the guy I purchased from has had it for 25 years. The displays come on but machine doesn't boot up. It's a shame that there's so much wear on the playfield. I'm intending to keep this so if any pinside members know where there maybe a better playfield please pm me, I know that Steve Young sold a NOS last year so if the person who bought it is out there please contact me.
WOW WOW WOW! I can't believe my eyes! that's such an amazing find, I hope a pf comes available to you man
I picked up a beautiful Stars, and a Galaxy this weekend...
I had to place them in 2 separate places, but now I have the trifecta
Quoted from NimblePin:
Good to see Stars getting some love at TPF!
I guess I kinda felt it over here on the west coast because for some reason or another I really wanted to detail my Stars.
Three coats of wax and two elbows later...
Enjoy yet another SK masterpiece!
If there's enough time, I may cc mine
Quoted from Bet7676:
Been collecting machines since the late 90s have had them stored at mates houses and parents place final got a warehouse to put them all together. Set them all up yesterday so it's like new pin day in a way some machines I have not seen or played in years good to get them back
Wow! Now, that's a great place for pinball
Quoted from MCE_LLC:
Brought my first pin home today. I wanted to start with one I remembered from my Silver Odyssey arcade days in the early 80's. Blackout was one of my staples during those years. This is the first of my "just one" collection. But we all know that "just one" means N+1.
It barely fit.
So big yet so lonely.
Really a pretty cool game, cool robotic voice, cool orbit flow and reverberating spinner sound, challenging drop target shots.
It looks very nice!
I picked up the madness
Before shopping and clear and new ramps and LED's and chrome and 3d trans
Quoted from yzfguy:
OMG..please get that kid and bike away!!!
this was a very rare occurrence where he had gotten a brand new bike for his birthday just moments before the pic was taken, and was being escorted away he's a good boy and respects daddy's Pinball machines, he also loves playing and is getting pretty good. but like myself at times, gets distracted by the cool toys and pretty lights, hehe
Quoted from xTheBlackKnightx:
Not sure if this truly qualifies, but I decided to pull out my AGBGoWT from storage after a LONG time. (NIB overstock purchase).
Not much play on this game, put maybe 250+ games on it, folded it back up, shrink wrapped it and got crated.
"Dial in" via burn test and tech overhaul required on this game, even when it came from the factory.
"Bulletproofing" is a better term, and I still need to add some tweaks to protect the playfield. It can be be a little wonky if you just fire it up, not in the electronics per say, but more about playfield switch design, not to mention the game has not been played in nearly a decade.
Very very cool!
Quoted from Star_Gazer:
And now it's even playable, my first em pinball i fixed!
1. fuse for playfield light was loose
2. fixed closed connection on score motor (it was not stopping with rotating)
3. dirty stepper motors
4. and last but most important, closed connection found on tilt, so i never could start a game (and it did not show tilt)
Wow! That is a beautiful game
So much work to do on this one. Spent 5 hours just doing the preliminary cleaning. Deep cleaning once I get started on it
Quoted from gabegabegabe:
Got this one from a fellow pinsider. Needs a backglass and shop job, but should clean up nice. Anyone have a BG or drop targets?
Are you serious!?!?!!!! Do you know how rare that game is... Does anyone have parts?, lol.... Call Roger Sharp
Seriously... Thank you for posting pics
Quoted from gabegabegabe:
I know it's rare. I am hoping to at least get some game plan drop targets, as i don't like the look of the DE drops. I know it was a little much to ask about a BG, but it never hurts to ask, you never know!
If you can get a scan, I can help with a possible translite
Quoted from PinballManiac40:
Things in the house can always be rearranged to fit a second game if you try hard enough. I have them in my 3 bedrooms as well, including the smaller 11x10 bedroom and it also has a bed in there too.
I have 19 games in my house, 7 pins and the rest arcades. I only had room for 1, ended up taking over a whole room and then some... Still plenty of breathing room, turns out my wife is totally cool with it. She even moved her suv out of the garage to let more pins in... I love her
Alright you guys got me... My family has a Lakehouse about 5.5 Hours Drive from my hometown. It takes an extra 1.5 hours with kids, and I just didn't have enough room for the cab because of all the kids stuff. A friend of mine there has a woodshop buddy that is making us a few cabinets in his spare time. I left the cab at the lake house, I'll go back at the end of the month with my truck to grab the cabinet and all of the metal and wiring harness that we have for it also .
And when I go back, hopefully there will be a black belt waiting there for me as well
Quoted from yzfguy:
It takes an extra hour and a half with kids?! Do you drag them behind the truck?
haha, we usually stop once to eat and another stop for fuel, my boys are 3 and 5, so it takes extra time when we stop, they must ask a thousand questions about everything too...
Quoted from Captive_Ball:
Couldn't put the kids stuff IN the empty cabinet?
The cab won't fit sideways! I wish it would
we had 2 bikes, a scooter, my bag of tools and luggage bags, I tried to make it all fit. I even thought of putting the cab on top of the navigator, but I didn't want to sand bugs off or worry about rain, or put the boys bikes on top or irritate my wife (she drives the entire trip)
it's all good, I go back often. besides I have to... my Stars and Star Trek are there waiting on me to play them there.
Quoted from MT45:
Grabbed a local Addams Family just ahead of receiving my GBLE. Got TAF about 14 days ago and have 40 hours into it but she's looking good now.
Fixed, added or modded over past few days:
Cracked weld on chair scoop
Broken pop caps
Bent up "cliffy" knock off in chair scoop
Broken trace on CPU board
Bottom dropping out of cabinet
Cabinet flipper leaf switches
Rebuilt low flippers
All new "official" Cliffy's
New bear ramp target soldered in
Apron light mod
All new double star posts
All new rubbers
Bookcase light mod
Target decals mod
New chair VUK coil
Cloud topper blue leds
Magnet protection mod
Pop caps led fish filter mod
And lots more ...
Looks great! I have a lead on an Addams local to me, I hope it works out, maybe soon, I'll be posting it here.
I like your choice of LED's, they looks nice, I like the pop caps too, the fish paper looks like it diffuses the Light well
Speaking of Gamatron, I'm bringing home my cabinet for it this weekend, and I laid down my first coat of clear on the playfield... I think I'll start a new thread for this...
Quoted from Guinnesstime:
I'm on the grid. Finally.
Clear rubbers including disc
Haven't fully gone thru updated code, reseated optos and good to go.
Nice! Glad to have another grid runner!
My latest pick up
I miss my hs, yours is beautiful now!
Quoted from Spitfiren8:
Picked up a Medusa today. Needs work but stoked to have another classic Bally!
Oh boy! That pf is really nice! Cc that thing, it's gotta be pretty rare not having wear on the center area
Quoted from Crispin:
Technically I brought her home this morning at 1am but started yesterday morning at 6:30am. How sick am I? Sick enough to drive into NYC for a morning meeting at work, then straight off to the far west end of PA to score this unicorn! I immediately had to turn around and drive back to the island to get back at work this morning.
That's just my style!
Quoted from dmbjunky:
You're close. It's a 1982 RCA front projection TV. The front part folds down to reveal a projector aimed towards the viewer at a mirror. That mirror puts the picture on what I think is a plastic reflective screen. I actually don't have anything to play on it at the moment but it's pretty awesome. 50 inch screen for cheap.
Not a pin but I wondered if anyone would recognize it.
That's crazy! That was my first thought , but thought nah also, they used one to play Mario bros on "halt and catch fire"
I have an original that I somewhat restored, but it looks super good for having three jousts and making one nice one
Quoted from wantdataeast:
'Unfortunately sir, your free 7'x6' Harbor Freight tarp failed to completely protect it from the element while it sat outside last year.'
I literally laughed in his face when he suggested he find his extension cord so i could test it out.
I offered $50 and reluctantly paid $75.
Sheesh! This was that 'guy' that literally has no room for pinball, but still wants to keep it around anyway
I bet you'll have TH for 6 weeks tops...
You need a solid system 11 that you can sink your teeth into imo. I don't think deep busy rules are your thing, you seem to push a lot of those types out the door pretty quickly
Quoted from Djshakes:
I didn't get a machine but went to a medical equipment business closeout sale and bought these two boxes packed with standoffs for $30. All the right sizes for pinball.
best pickup on this page... well, almost; it's kind of hard to beat a secret service lifted by a crane
thats amazing that those posts are all pinball size! I wander what use for them there is medically?
Perfect... he knows the truth... he knows LIONMAN!!!!
Quoted from bigd1979:
So this restored beauty showed up yesterday..... loads of mods i didnt know it included also like color dmd, transparent lightning back board with lighting, lighted wizard- dragon- and troll figures, lighted troll eyes, all mantis protectors and came with but not installed was lighted apron, nib upgraded speaker system, pinblades and some other things. Never thought id own a original mm but its here... cant wait get it dialed in and cleaned up to start enjoying it.
That is the most upside down and most clean mm I've ever seen
Quoted from Dirtynerd:
Nice score now don't do what i did a buy 6 in my first month of owning a pinball then decide to start a project pin
All the while my partner is getting the scissors ready to snip my nuts off and make them a topper on one of the pins haha
Enjoy mate look after the machine and it will keep giving you love
If sof was my only game, I think I would be ok with that, I love every square inch of it, even the absence of pops is a-ok
Quoted from PiperPinball:
Just rethemes > HS2 into Cars1 and Indy500 into Cars2. Both have Pinsound cards and I changed all the original sounds/music into the Cars movie sounds/music. Custom translights. And lots of custom interactive mods.
My kids love Disney Cars. And with Cars3 coming out this June we thought and Cars pins would be appropriate!
Still working on both pins. Slow, but a fun retheme project.
You could use Mustang for Cars 3, or maybe viper night driving, or corvette or ...
I can't get over the rethemes, great work!
Quoted from bronco-jon:
Out of over 5400 post's on this thread, it looks like this is the first Bally Black Jack posted on this thread.
Here is a good example of one I just picked up yesterday, and at a very good price.....I just have to figure out why it won't boot up now.
That is beautiful!
Quoted from bronco-jon:
But he has owned a VERY impressive selection of pinball machines in the past...92 of them in fact
Quoted from Colsond3:
I thought he was just messin around. Skye is on here a lot, has good posts and has owned quite a few games. I thought it was all in good fun when I saw the post initially. If someone really brought home a Loch Ness, i'm sure the post would consist of more than just one badly taken photograph.
I know... he's a good guy, funny guy, I chuckled too after I did a double take
Bansai Tree Definitely, trim , trim, trim...
Then ride motorcycles through them...
Lol.. best part is you don't plan to sell either
