picked up a hurricane on Saturday. Helped a friend get the Big Hit they also had, and they are bringing down a firepower for me as well.
Hurricane is rough but was cheap and is cleaning up nice.
I know what my next project is. Appears to be complete. Playfield looks good. Has a RottenDog display. Only $600 I'm loving it.
I think they moved it up and smashed into something, snapped the lock and it fell forward smashing the glass
I've got to say. Enjoying the thrill of bringing a machine home, and seeing others do it. This is my favorite "favorite" thread!
This is my first grail game. It's in really nice original condition. The previous owner did a bunch of work, new legs, plastics, new power supply. Plays like a beast!
My pilot is too stuffed for pics . Bringing home Alien Poker and Harlem Globetrotters
I took the the stern plunge on this today. Less than 50 plays with custom pink armor.
Quoted from Pecos:
I'm hoping that the keys will show up or that I have a key that will work because I sure don't want to drill out these old, original locks.
Watch some youtube videos and see if you can pick the coin door. If so the backbox key might be in there. Once you get them open you can take them to a locksmith and ask for them to be rekeyed. Some they can do and some they cannot. If they can it's usually super easy for them to do.
Brought home a project vector. Everything is there except the mpu. Apron is there just not installed
Quoted from wantdataeast:
'Unfortunately sir, your free 7'x6' Harbor Freight tarp failed to completely protect it from the element while it sat outside last year.'
I literally laughed in his face when he suggested he find his extension cord so i could test it out.
I offered $50 and reluctantly paid $75.
Probably just needs a fuse!
On sunday I brought home a nice Viking. The pf and cab are in good shape except for major fade on the cab and a seriously messed up wiring job.
It came with an alltek and 2 -35 boards one of which is bootable.
It also came with this which I am happy to have:
Quoted from ForceFlow:
Keep in mind, there are several revisions to that booklet, and the latest one is FO 560-3, which supersedes all previous versions.
Yeah I've been using this: http://arcarc.xmission.com/Pinball/PDF%20Pinball%20Misc/FO-560%20Repair%20Proceedures.pdf
still cool to have a printed one even if it's the wrong version
Awesome. I have a "1C" board that I've taken a break from. I notice more info in that section so I'll take another stab at it.
OK I got it home and set it up. Needs new rubbers but plays great. Playfield was updated to an nos ones few years back. Backglass is near perfect. I never thought I'd own a Gottlieb Eclipse. I'm glad I have something of his to remember Steve Charland.
Yeah mine has significant flaking in the reds on the backglass. Those look much better.
