Quoted from G35R6:

This is the White Water that I was supposed to be bringing back home today.
After almost a month and 49 email exchanges, the seller and I agreed on a price and date for pick up. Three days ago he informs me that his neighbor just found out that he was selling it and "twisted his arm to sell it to him".
What's most amusing is that two weeks ago he came to me crying about a lack of "honest people" after he got screwed over by a guy selling him a pin who backed out of the sale and sold it to someone else for more money.
Oh well. Still cruising the midwest with a empty car and a pocket full of cash in search of a White Water. (Or ACDC, or MET, or GoT)
And a lesson learned from what CrazyLevi always says - have cash ready and get there as fast as you can!

I had that same experience unfortunately…
Was literally three blocks away from purchasing and the guy was helping someone else load the game! Learned a lesson….get there early

Great Score! If you're near Houston and looking to do a quick flip let me know.

Actually in Hawaii, or I would consider

#21490 2 years ago

Yeah. There’s not many folks into pinball in Hawaii. No barcades at all. They don’t come up for sale often, but you can usually get a pretty good deal when they do.

#21492 2 years ago

Will do. The guy actually bought it in 95’ with sales receipt. $1295 basically brand new!

#21494 2 years ago

Yep. Little elboy grease on my future, but I think it will clean up good

Quoted from Pinhead306:

First day off in a few weeks and made good use of the time. And continuing the 400$ trend.

Nice! The $400 trend is moving right along!

#21510 2 years ago

Cleaning up the 400$ dredd right now.

Quoted from waymon:Brought home a gladiators today!

Nice!
I’m thinking about moving to Tennessee with my collection. How do you like it over there?

#21793 2 years ago
Quoted from Coindork:

Thats one hell of a drive in that truck.
Reminds me of the Dead Milkmen song Bitchin Camaro.

Yeah, it was f”cking gnarly!! I remember listening to the milkmen at 16 years old working in the bottle return room at a hippie market.

#21797 2 years ago

Back box had to be separated for moving purposes.

#21798 2 years ago
Quoted from Thor-NL:

Well those pins are just on a short holiday on the islands huh?

Some are here for a few years. Others will be transported to the new place. Either Florida, or Tennessee….Haven’t decided which yet??

#21807 2 years ago

And they are all white!! Won’t have a problem selling it

Quoted from bluespin:

You should consider Georgia.

So, Georgia is better in your opinion….
I’ll definitely take advice from someone in those parts!

#21824 2 years ago
Quoted from pinostalgia:

did you have it shipped by airplane?

Cargo container.

#21838 2 years ago
Quoted from pyrotech:

How long it take to ship it by cargo ship and if you do not mind how much?

My brother actually allowed me to put two pins in his 16’x6’ pod container, at a cost of $6500. I’m not sure about individual shipping for a single machine, but another guy said he had a quote of around $800.
Pod took just over a month to arrive.

Quoted from doompin:

Was looking for something to work on over the winter. Needed a project to bring back to life. Never expected it to be a Bally Transporter. Had zero expectations of ever seeing one of these in the wild let alone getting my hands on one, and for a reasonable price in working condition.
[quoted image]

I bought one from an antique shop in Tacoma,wa years ago in pretty good shape for 1,250. Sometimes deals pop up

Always check the structure of outside stairs. I was hauling a game up the front stairs of a rental I had and the damn thing collapsed under me!

New to us: Stern POTC. Placeholder until my P3 arrives in March. [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

I bought a true huo pirates a couple of years ago for a steal at 2500! I couldn’t believe it! Fun game…

Quoted from mmuglia:

Ordered Cactus Canyon on Monday and took delivery today. Art blades, shaker, and a few other mods are on the way. After a few hours of playing, the simplicity of the rules is a breath of fresh air compared to other games in my collection.

And the power switch is in the “bottom front” of the cabinet! Good deal!

IMDN pro came in. Kept going back and fourth between pro/prem. Ultimately decided prem wasn’t worth 2500 more. I was able to purchase premium cabinet art and may decide to install at some point. Have to leave the killers art on side of backbox though

Quoted from aamauzy:

Brought home this gorgeous early-production Twilight Zone yesterday. Manufacture date of April 19, 1993. Pictures really don't do it justice - it's almost suspiciously clean. Has the green lock insert, posts/rubbers in the pop garden, sticker over the spiral loop plastic, white clock face, and even still had a P-3 ROM in it. Doesn't have the green rockets or third magnet. Came with the Color LCD and Cointaker LEDs too. My first "not NiB" truly plug-and-play game. I did quickly switch to the 9.4H ROM, but that took all of 5 minutes so... I'm still calling it plug and play
Really excited to have this - TZ is a dream game of mine!
