Quoted from Whysnow:congrats!
I really want to find a nice Embryon some day!
Thanks, I really lucked out with this one. Playfield was restored by a professional artist, then clearcoated.
Quoted from MrFancy:My first pin, just got it up and running tonight!
Awesome first pin. Used to own DH and I miss it sometimes.
Quoted from dirtbag66:Pretty safe to say he was happy to see Twister back in the lineup!
[quoted image]
Haha! Rock on!
Quoted from JFink8222:Drove from Phoenix to the Cali border to pick this girl up. Got a NOS playfield for a full restoration. Can’t wait!! Dropped a Bally Frontier to the seller. Good trade!!
[quoted image]
I'd say so. Well done!
Quoted from newovad:Traded an Oursler (BSD) and picked up two more.
That's a tough move. Can't go wrong with 2 for 1 though. Barry O is my favorite designer by far and BSD is a keeper for me.
Quoted from KSUWildcatFan:Traded my World of Nintendo sign for a T2. It hurt a bit to do it, and T2 wasn't exactly atop my want list, but value vs value there just wasn't any way I could turn it down. I'm not looking forward to dragging this heavy B downstairs...
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
[quoted image]
I understand the value of Nintendo stuff, but I think you made the right move.
Quoted from Colsond3:One or two small wear spots all in the blue. A little bit up around the pops. Overall pretty decent.
Very similar layout to a certain early Williams classic!
Brought two home today.
Owned Transporter since December. It stayed at a friend's house where it was torn down, shopped, and cleaned. Operator hacks reversed. Clearcoated playfield and rebuilt everything.
This is actually my 2nd Doctor Who. Pinsound "metal" theme installed and cranked up. This is a very fast-playing machine with the clearcoated playfield as well.
Not that I ever struggled with it, but not having to leave the house these days will be much easier!
20200712_145816 (resized).jpgQuoted from Motorcitypinball:My friend found this Defender for me on craigslist and we went and grabbed it to add to my arcade. Just have to get it downstairs
[quoted image]
That Defender looks like an old cowboy with stories to tell, staring into the sunset.
Quoted from Colsond3:Nice grab. Playmatic games hold up so well. How many roller coaster themed pins are there?
Comet, Cyclone, and Hurricane have roller coasters featured prominently in the art.
Quoted from Caveman-Gurkan:Well, I do drink wine.
[quoted image]
Excellent! Have had mine for 6+ years. It has awesome staying power, despite what some may say.
Quoted from Wmsfan-GAP:Looks like a Les Paul- Guns and Roses?
'76 SG and no, but clever answer.
Quoted from Jason43:Does this count?
[quoted image]
Is that smear of blood required to "raise the devil?"
Quoted from Ballypin:No, I'm not crazy enough to personally view the other 10 machines as they were in WI, NJ, OH, KY, MO, AL, GA, VA and MI. I am crazy though for being up since 11:00 pm Tuesday night for work and then leaving at 3:00 pm Wednesday to drive 5 hours to Chicago and arrive back home (after a sleep break) at 3:00 am Thursday. I logged about 900 miles between work and play in the past 27 hours.
I played EBD in HS when it came out in '81 and I bought a nice '81 version in 2000 but sold it quickly when I moved into DMD games. The itch for one came back in August and over the course of the past 2 months, I have daily (and hourly) watched the ads on Pinside, FB, Mr Pinball and CL. Every time I thought I had one lined up, the game either already sold or the owner decided not to sell or the condition was too rough.
I REALLY wanted the '81 first run cabinet design but I compromised on this '84 third release. It will cleanup very well.[quoted image]
When I met the seller to get the game, I noticed a 5' x 5' tapestry hanging on the wall featuring Bally Flip Flop, Sky Kings and Big Show (and a couple stinky Gottliebs). It appears to be an image from Japan (?) and is most likely a shower curtain based on the 12 grommets across the top. I planned to buy it from the seller but he graciously threw it in at no charge.[quoted image]
Awesome pick up Ballypin and a very nice addition! I don't think the '84 is all that bad. Unique artwork and more rare I think? Of course I still like the '81 best.
Question: What's your favorite Bally year and favorite of that year?
Quoted from Balazs:Pretty rare game
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Quoted from Colsond3:I think I was more excited to pick up the SBM framed backglass along the way home.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Yeah but I really dig that Captain Fantastic, even if it's the home one. Both are nice finds. Well done!
Quoted from Manny65:Hope there's no steep driveways
I'm just glad there were no fender benders!
Quoted from shacklersrevenge:On the eve of my birthday, Taco Bell and pinball.
[quoted image][quoted image]
After reading your post, I was hoping to see a Demo Man, but still a nice grab!
Quoted from jhupka:I got myself a Bram Stoker's Dracula today. [quoted image]
Congrats! It is truly a great machine.
I've had mine for nearly 7 years now, as other machines have come and gone.
There were times where moving it crossed my mind but I never could do it. Theres just nothing like it.
Be sure to follow the owners thread. It is a good resource of info.

Quoted from TopMoose:lesmanley isn't the only one who brought home a Rocket this week - the prettiest game of the 1940's found its way into my collection!
After getting it home, I replaced the fuse holders, cleaned the coil plungers, adjusted a couple of springs and it plays as nice as it looks! Thanks, spacetimeguy !
[quoted image]
Wow! That thing is really cool! Not very common, I bet?
Quoted from Boof-Ed:Finally got this title in the collection. Now have 4 of the 5 I played as a teen down the shops.
This one needs heaps of work.
Can’t believe somebody put LEDs in but didn’t clean it. Absolutely filthy. Got straight to work.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Great! With the playfield removed, now you have a place to hide that body on the floor!
Quoted from Ballypin:What is the definition of a "Grail Game" ?
A game you have been searching for your entire life ?
If so, I submit you mine: 1965 Bally Band Wagon. Released in March 1965, this was the current Bally pin available when I made my appearance in early April 1965. This example was purchased from the Replay Foundation in Pittsburgh and sports serial number BW 1601. Being # 601 out of 1840 made (33% into production) between March and May, it is quite possible that this Band Wagon and I share the same "birth" date.
When I get around to this restoration, I envision a cabinet repaint and commission a BGresto backglass.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Now that's a definition of grail game! Congrats!
Quoted from gliebig:Good day.[quoted image][quoted image]
A Fathom is one thing. But also getting that Skill Roll machine? That looks like a real cool machine.
Quoted from ssbodyman:Added another foriegn game to the collection today.
[quoted image]
Wow. Stellar backglass!
Quoted from RustyLizard:Playfield after 10 minutes of work.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Looks like that FG is in good hands now. A Top 3 Bally IMO.
Quoted from Happy81724:Just brought home a Bally’s grand slam! It came with some cool trading cards too! I kind of want to open them but I know I shouldn’t
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Wow! That is cool! Dont open!
Quoted from FuryosJustin:Picked up my 81 Italian assembled, bell games Flash Gordon. in great survivor condition.
Emperor Ming awaits
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Wow I like the darker cab. Nice find.
Quoted from TractorDoc:Project Row is looking more like a Project Cluster.
[quoted image]
The latest addition from a neighborhood not very far away.
[quoted image]
Nice group of worthy projects there.
Quoted from Ballypin:Beautiful Sunday morning. Deals are out there. [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Ohio seems like the place to be. My in-laws live in Canton.
Quoted from roffels:Whoa, is that as nice as it looks?
No kidding. That cab looks sharp.
Quoted from gentrsa:Have not looked much lately but even still I am way excited to have this title now! Can't wait for it to be cleaned up and ready for many plays!
[quoted image][quoted image]
Viking rocks!
If set up right, it is one of the fastest playing Ballys.
Quoted from GorillaBiscuits:Iron Maiden’s big green brother arrived safe and sound. Man, that building mech is YUGE!
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
I'm digging that 'Powerslave' translite on the Iron Maiden Premium cab.
Quoted from TopMoose:- What size ball does it use?
Industry standard, i'm sure. As shown in this fully populated playfield.
Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:Traded my WCS for Party Animal, Lady Luck (6803) and Fun Fest, didn’t get any good photos, so this will have to do till I set them up either tomorrow or the next day.
[quoted image]
Nice score for everyone.
Quoted from cdnpinbacon:Damn..wrong thread ..sorry folks
If you combine "that pinside bitch thread" and this one, it would be called "what bitch did you bring home today?"
Quoted from pinmister:Not pinball but just finished fixing up one of my favorite arcade games growing up to add to the lineup...
[quoted image][quoted image]
Out of all the Nintendo Vs. games I've come across over the years, Gumshoe seems to be the one I've seen the very least. Nice find.
