Quoted from dmbjunky:What do those buttons on the lockdown bar do on Riverboat Gambler?
It has a roulette wheel in the backglass that actually spins at some points in the game. You use the lockbar buttons to place your color bet when that happens. Kinda cool. The text on the buttons is faded so I'll get those replaced once I find a set.
Quoted from indypinhead:Good luck in your search for the buttons.
Those can't be found anywhere.
Yeah, at least the red and pass buttons are good it's just the green and black buttons that have the text totally faded. I did manage to find a replacement green button and ordered it, now to find the black one...
Quoted from Hazoff:Just starting the light upgrades but man is she ever a looker. Great game.
That's a really nice looking set of tables right there, they seem to compliment each other nicely, very beautiful seeing the three all lit up together.
Quoted from Atlgills:A friend called me and informed me that someone he knew was cleaning out a warehouse and it had a few pins in it that were going to be smashed and thrown in the dumpster if no one picked them up that day. This is what I collected. 11 total. Yesterday was a good day my friends!
Holy cow I can't believe those were going to be smashed!! Awesome haul, and thanks for saving them from the dumpster.
I previously posted a quick pic of the last three games I acquired, and now that they are actually at my house I wanted to post more pics of the Elvira And The Party Monsters table. The main reason is that this table was bought from a fellow pinside member named MrBellMan, the machine was in great condition and my restorer had little to do to it aside from switching it to led's, adding the topper, installing a few new parts and giving it a once over. So I can say buy with confidence from this pinside member, I'm very happy with the table! The table is still sitting my my living room because my game room isn't ready yet, but here are some pics below.

Quoted from MrBellMan:Thanks for the props Herb! I'm happy to see Elvira restored and going to a new home! We will miss her!

Herb is great, he restores all my tables. I'm really particular on condition and your Elvira table was in great shape, it will be treated well! I'll post pics of it in my game room in a couple of weeks once that is complete, over in the game room thread.
Quoted from Buzz:That's great. Would you tell how much you payed?
Just fyi I've learned that I pay far more than games are valued here on Pinside, as my JD was $3850. But that includes many things like restoration, they go over the game completely to make sure everything works, fully cleaned, fully LED's, paint touch ups on the cabinet and play field, delivery and I get free in home warranty service in case issues come up. It also includes the eagle topper and an alternate translite which aren't shown in my pictures because those are still on the way. It also includes the dead world mod, but he included the alternate dead world disc and rom to revert it back to production mode with the virtual lock if I want to. Also he handles all the work for me, basically I request a table and he locates it, ships it to his shop from wherever it is in the country, gets it ready for me and then delivers it and warranties it. You can check my collection here on pinside, I listed what I've paid for every table and they were all acquired the same way from the same restorer here in Los Angeles.
Anyways I don't want to derail this great thread, but I mention the above only because I suspect people will freak out here at the prices I've paid for tables, but I just want my tables all clean, restored, warrantied and everything handled for me. I included a pic I had posted on the game room thread, shows the Judge Dredd table at the end. Some of the tables in my collection aren't shown as they are in a different room.

I guess they only made 100 of these
Nice, always loved the back glass on that one.
Picked up AC/DC pro a few days ago. Originally was waiting on a premium model, but then after playing a pro version I found I liked it better for it's faster play. Found one, bought it and made a full led conversion on it. Today I installed a color dmd which isn't something I normally do but I figure this game is newer so why not.
Got my holy grail game last night from fellow pinsider surfsidedetail, Elvira's Scared Stiff, my favorite pinball game of all time! Really happy to get it and it's in amazing condition with tasteful mods.

Quoted from Chosen_S:How's the tempest? I've had 4 of them, the monitor is always about a 5 hour very tedious project, I usually have to send the tempest board out for repair / new ram I think, awesome score!
I put one of these in my Tempest monitor based on others recommendations, since the monitors have a tendency to fail:
The LV 2000, haven't had an issue since. It's basically a modern board that replaces a high failure section of Tempest crt's.
Just bought this from a fellow pinsider. Been wanting to try a more basic game, something cheap from the early 80s with a very simple layout and rule set just to see if it would have lasting power, and also to serve as a fun but not daunting project to learn on. Couldn't resist this one when it came up, I'm a sucker for those old Williams sounds. Has a few issues like a weak shooter, weak flipper, targets don't always trigger, etc but overall it's not bad.
