Yeah - Robs the best!
Quoted from rcbrown316:level 1 shop job on catacomb. polished PF, replaced acorn nuts, flattened plastics, new glass, cleaned rubbers(they were pretty new), rebuilt flippers, re-sleeved all coils, cleaned all solenoid-driven mechanics, wet sanded and buffed shooter rod replaced 5101's on mpu did not touch cabinet or legs. in gameroom for play-testing for a bit then I will give it the deluxe restore. very cool and complex game for 1981. wish I knew what I was doing. I can see why these don't come up for sale often.

I played one of these for the first time at Pinfest last year - Really fun game and way ahead of its time - definitely a keeper!
Quoted from Skypilot:No,YZF, they don't! They can own a WOZ but that's where I draw the line.
I'm not so sure about that SkyPilot... ever since I've been playing with those ruby slipper flippers... my handshake has gotten 'fishy' and my wrists have started getting limp.
Quoted from Tazmans:Brought home my first pin today, I have a Roadshow being delivered to my home next week!!!
Congrats High Speed is a great title and it looks like you got a beautiful example! Enjoy ?
Quoted from Its_me_aj:He then calls back and dais to just go to his property and it's sitting in a airplane hanger/barn thing, load it up and enjoy. No one in sight, no one home, nothing. I felt kinda awkward loading it up and taking it home without talking to the owner in person.
That sounds like my weirdest experience. I told the guy I wanted the game sight unseen - he said to come look at it before paying him. Went to go pick it up and while driving there - they guy calls and says he's not going to be home - but the game is in his basement. Just open the bulkhead doors and load it up out of the basement. If you decide to take it - just paypal me the money. I remember thinking "Geeze I hope I don't accidently go to the wrong house..."
Anyway - I went there, opened the bulkhead doors and the game was at the bottom of the steps - no one in sight. I took the backbox off and pulled the machine out of the basement and loaded it up (also into my CR-V) - and was just thinking the whole time - "this is so weird, I hope his neighbors don't call the police... this will be hard to explain!"
Quoted from Methos:Art is great, but the game play is so/so.
Really? I played one at Pintastic last year - thought it was pretty fun!
Quoted from Pahuffman:Do y'all think this was a good price?
Are you sure it's not hot?
Quoted from dragdaily12:Tommy. Could wait to play it so 1/2 way to my game room I stopped and gave it a few plays.
Yeah, I hate oldpinguy for making me play his... Now I want one too...
Quoted from Crispin:Been so busy I haven't Posted my wishlist week score. Last Wed I received this beauty from Kurt in Kentucky.
Just a mere 2 days later I was in the car leaving Long Island at 8pm on a Friday night to drive all the way to Lake Erie to save Miss Fathom from the depths of Lake Erie. Drove till almost 2 am then slept for 5 hours. Made the trip in under 24 hrs. When I left my odometer read 62323, when I returned it read 63299.
Wow - that quicksilver is beautiful! How does it play?
Quoted from DanTheGlassMan:Traded my rfm for this badboy. Ive wanted one of these for soooo long. And damn is it in excellent condition. Nicest one ive ever seen.
He is "The Law"...
Quoted from shacklersrevenge:First free to come along.
Good things come to good people! Karma man!!!
Quoted from ForceFlow:Haven't posted a new acquisition in this thread in a good while...
I bought a dead Hulk (but really nice cosmetically), and I spent all day Friday working on it at Pinfest, got it out on the free play floor where it flipped all day Saturday, and brought it home.
Great score! Beautiful machine.
