Brought home this Williams Tri Zone today. It's actually really fun. I'm not sure why it gets so much hate. Probably because Gorgar was the next game out and had speech.

Brought home this 1972 Bally Space Time yesterday. An older gentleman in town put this up on Craigslist several months ago for $1,000. I went, took a look, and explained to him the actual value, but he wasn't ready to get rid of it just then. I kept in contact with him over the summer and we ended up trading for a cheap Japanese skill-stop slot machine I had in my basement that never got played. Needs some love, but overall in pretty decent shape. Backglass is incredible.
Quoted from ejacques:I love it when "non working" games turn out to work
Love my Tri Zone! It's a great game. Nice pickup.
I love it when I'm able to contribute to this thread!
I picked up this Dealer's Choice in a trade for my Satin Doll. It's nice to refresh the lineup. (Well, it was a lineup, but they seem to be going out more than in these days.)
She's a little rough around the edges and will need some cabinet paint, but she plays fast!
I picked up this Bally Vector on Wednesday for $600. It wasn't working when I took it home, so it was a gamble on the displays/boards. I resat the rom in U6 and it fired right up. All displays perfect. Aside from one cracked plastic, this thing is in pretty good shape and should clean up nicely. Boards actually look great, and the batteries were relocated at some point. Backglass is 10/10.
Do y'all think this was a good price? I'm basically in the pin desert around here, so anything that comes available I leap on.

The missing gate between the left flipper and slingshot makes the game really damn hard. Any Bally aficionados or Vector owners out there have that part number for me?
Pretty damn cool! But my Zeppelin fandom really only goes as far as their hits, and my wallet has other projects to fund.
Who knows though? Maybe one day down the line that would be a cool swap. I'd really be interested if they added some music to the game.
Quoted from dmieczko:Finally grabbed a Funhouse! Needs a shop job, but looks like it will clean up really nice.
My GOD - Rudy has seen better days. Looks like me after a night out drinking.
YESSSSSSS. Brought home one of my grail pins this weekend! Haven't had a chance to start cleaning her yet, and there are a few issues with the trough optos, but she'll clean up really nicely. This one definitely fell right into my lap and it's in great shape. She'll never leave - that's for sure.20161007_165616_resized (resized).jpg20161007_165551_resized (resized).jpg
Got a nice garage find for a steal over the weekend. Guy had bought a house and the original owner left it. It's already starting to clean up nicely but this is what it looked like when it came in. Took a razor blade and a lot of patience to get all the tape goo off the glass. Didn't come with legs, but I had a spare set.20161204_122450_resized (resized).jpg20161204_122440_resized (resized).jpg20161204_122430_resized (resized).jpg
Quoted from Darcy:That must explain the red, instead of black cabinet colour.
It does. PF art is also dramatically different. I think the backglass is pretty much the same though. I had a production version for a while there and really enjoyed it.
Didn't get good pictures, but I rescued this Harlem Globetrotters from a shed over the weekend. Backglass is pretty ratted, but the playfield has full mylar and will clean up really nicely. Cab is so-so but solid.20170401_193935_1491230987954_resized (resized).jpg20170401_193920_1491230990769_resized (resized).jpg20170331_151634_1491230992593_resized (resized).jpg
Quoted from o-din:Best DMD game of all time.
Well let's have it. What's the best game of all time according to o-din?
Picked up one of my grails over the weekend! Needs a GOOD shop job. One burned connector, no GI, and some oxidized metal, but the price was right and it was right in my backyard. Boards look great, but the rest of the game is filthy. Also missing a flasher above the trap door. My buddy Mike also picked up another CV (currently for sale or trade) and one of his grails, a TOM.

Quoted from Tres:The Wife and I picked up a HUO STLE #637 to go along with our TWDLE #547!!
Quoted from dmieczko:Good haul today!
Pretty sure that's in the territory of AMAZING haul.
Quoted from ibuypinballs:Took this in on trade tonight.
STTNGs are flying off the shelves these days it seems. This is like the 3rd one in the last 50 posts. Grail game for me, so I'll never sell mine. Congrats! You'll love it!
20180228_225331 (resized).jpgBoy do I love participating in this thread. Found this one one Craigslist yesterday afternoon about an hour and a half away. Was going to schedule a Saturday pickup time but the deal was too good to pass so I pulled the trigger and drove to get it last night after work. Didn't get home until about 11, but she's in great shape and the price was hard to beat. Glad I went because it turns out several people were trying to schedule Saturday pickups. It's always better to be the first one there with the cash.

Sorry for the crappy lighting and bad cell phone pics. Best I could do after loading it into the garage late last night.
Quoted from Grayman_EM:But keep it away from that water.
It was pouring rain when I picked it up. Had to get creative with the tarp!
Quoted from bloodonthepins:This is one of the coolest pin collections I've seen. Which one is missing, the recent Stern one?
Thank you! And yes you're correct on missing the Stern. I'm going to start saving for a Premium or LE as soon as I have the new Data East LED'd and playing 110%!
Quoted from Black_Knight:And don't ignore Bally's Star Ship, -
Quoted from Rensh:Sorry but you have 2 to go, a stern and Gottlieb version
I would definitely buy those (though I don't actually expect to ever see a Star Ship in person) if I ever came across one for a reasonable price. I don't count them though because they're not reeaaaally about the show.
Picked this up yesterday with a nice project Lightning, which I've already sold to @lotr_breath. Check out those hilarious drop targets. Who says the deals are dead? I got both for $450.

Picked up this Torpedo Alley last week. I had an interested buyer, but he's been flaking on communication. Might as well fix it up and add it to the collection. Just needs a good shop out and, like every game, some LEDs.

Quoted from Ranhorton:I really want to own this game sometime. There’s something about the cheesiness that I love. Plus it looks like and interesting layout.
Come on down to good ole Alabam' and pick you one up!
Quoted from mrm_4:I always think of this when I hear that.
Ahhhh. Remember when Family Guy was funny?
Picked up a good lite restoration project on Wednesday for a pretty darn good price. It's complete but not set up yet because my basement is out of room!
It'll need a little TLC and a good shop job but pretty nice over all.

The Force was strong with me yesterday! Completely filthy but working 100%! Can't wait to get this up and playing with the others. I really need to get some updated gameroom shots.

Quoted from scampcamp:Very nice collection Pahuffman !!
Thank you!!
Quoted from pcprogrammer:Nice collection of Star Treks. You really need the Stern one, most fun to play out of all Star Trek pins in my opinion.
Only one more to go! It's definitely on the to-buy list. I will spring for the premium/LE when I save up the money. I was going strong there for a while until that Star Wars fell into my lap. Couldn't turn it down!
Quoted from ChipScott:My buddy and I took a leisurely 13-hour round trip this past Sunday to pick this badboy up.
Well worth it!! (Thanks again Jon!)
Loving it!!
Another Bama guy! Welcome to the addiction.
Quoted from PantherCityPins:Thanks! The best part is that pin was played constantly for three days and the only issue I saw was a stuck ball on Sunday. For a pin that has a rep for being difficult to maintain I was impressed.
I've never understood this. The only unusual maintenance I've ever had to do on mine was clean the warp ramp diverter. Been going strong for over 2 years.
Let's go racin', boys! 400 miles, 8 hours, and $1,800 later and it's officially in the house!! Big NASCAR guy, big pinball guy, great deal. That's a win-win-win!
Needs LEDs, a shop job, and I'll have to troubleshoot the test car/garage, but who can complain at that price for an undocumented HUO game?? They weren't pinball people and said they bought it in 2005. I have no reason to doubt them, but who cares? It's in great shape. I'll upload more pics tomorrow.
IMG_20190524_212346 (resized).jpg
Now all I need is a Kyle Busch win at the Coca-Cola 600 tomorrow night!
Quoted from Pinhead306:looks to be in decent shape
Looks damn good compared to other Sorcerers I've seen. They're usually blown out.
Quoted from jimgravina:as opposed to a pinball collection.
Oh boy - here we go! Pretty soon you'll have another one.
It's a disease.
Quoted from Pozzest01:My friend Frostbite and I picked up a Data East Star Trek that I purchased yesterday. It is in fairly good shape with a few issues. Frostbite is a lot better with repairs and trouble shooting than I am so I left it at his house. Gonna be a great pin!
Code update on the way soon from Chad H., so be on the lookout!
Quoted from dc2010:After 10yrs, I finally brought home a GEM Star Trek the Next Generation
Welcome to the Enterprise!
Quoted from transprtr4u:Always wanted one of those .. Congrats and have fun
Quoted from gdonovan:One of the few Data East left on my "try out" list aside from maybe Batman.
Thanks, guys! I just opened it up and discovered a new power driver board as well. Sometimes it pays not to look! Waiting to get a new plug end before doing any testing because the ground prong broke off, but I may be hitting up gdonovan again for another buck unit if this thing is noisy too. Haven't really had a chance to get under the hood. Guy said $750 so I passed the cash and left.
Brought this one home Friday on a good local deal. A family inherited it from the previous owner when they bought their house. Perfect backglass, solid cab, playfield could use some love. This is version 2/3 with the Italian bottom and 1776/1976 on the glass.
'Merica!
Edit to say, with all the discussion of rising prices, I paid $240.

Quoted from chad:The one game I wish I would have bought..
Apparently you still can! I've heard of a guy who bought an amazing LE recently at a good price. Had to drive about 9 hours round trip to get it though. It was in the next time zone over.
Quoted from Ace24:That's exactly what I'm trying to find. A version 2 Freedom with an excellent backglass to swap into my version 1 Freedom that has a sub-par glass. I never see Freedoms for sale with that backglass. Interesting that your serial number is well into the run.
I got it for a good deal and would be willing to pass along the savings if you ever find yourself in the South. Just let me know!
