Not going to lie, when I picked it up at the Ohio Show and parked it away from my room, I almost couldn't sleep. It wasn't that I was worried; it was more that I couldn't "know" it was safe. I knew 99/100 that no one would disturb it, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned that I'd come to the Jeep and see broken windows and the game was gone.
I don't know what it is about B/W games; they just seem so much heavier than Sterns. I can push TWD around all day. AFM, I almost have to get a running start on (with socks on carpet).
Great to have the grail pin home. All I have to say to everyone: don't stop chasing your unicorn. No matter how far ahead it seems; it is all about "how badly do you want it". It took 4 solid years of waiting since I jumped into this hobby, but it happened!
Almost feels like some grand tale or journey has come to an end.
Won't deny, already wondering "what's next?" . GB Prem in June, and then................................SS? TAF? TZ? I dunno. Only time will tell...!
Quoted from Skypilot:Not going to be red long! Get that thing inside. We only have 3 days of sun in Ohio and you choose today!
But I am in Tennessee .
Quoted from Zampinator:Brought this oh so shiny HEP AFM home today! This thing is ridiculous!
Big thank you to Mike.IMG_20160423_145404202_(resized).jpgIMG_20160423_145418999_(resized).jpg
Damn.....
Quoted from Max_Badazz:Oh hell yeah ....... picked this bad boy up during a lunch break road trip today (and avoided the Boston rush hour doing so)
I will not shoot any gorillas while playing it, but please keep your kids away from the wall around it
If I had the cash and room, I would have come home with a TAF too.
Congo is sitting outside my office window .... torture
Sounds familiar. Thank you for passing it up. I bought it .

Swapping out the first TAF for the one in the thread directly above.
Traded JM for a DM. Man, the PF on this one is S-O nice!!!
Yeah, brought this bad boy down the stairs with that lil' dolly. Beast mode 2.0.
And the help of a neighbor .___.
Called Larry from Flipping Out Pinball. Next Escalera that he gets in stock = mine.
Tired of doing this stairs crap with these pins. DM as a widebody did it for me. I'm ready to take the Escalera plunge.
Quoted from jmountjoy111:Pretty sure I've played that Demoman. Super nice ramps too
If you played it in Louisville, you probably have indeed. Rob flame-polished these ramps, and man, they do look super awesome. What a stand up guy; it was nice to meet someone like him, do a straight trade, no cash from either of us, both tell each other EXACTLY what to expect with each game (pros and flaws of each of them), swap them, load them, shake hands, and call it a day. Love fellow pinsiders like that!
Also, want to give a public TY to Weirpinball for making this one possible. He knew I was looking for a DM and was ready to trade JM, and he found this one for me. Super cool move on his part!
Quoted from chuckwurt:A lot of people are stupid.
Wow. THAT was a serious mic drop!
Quoted from Blazed:After being pin free for 6 months.... These 3 followed me home this weekend.
That'll teach you to try to get away from the sickness!
Quoted from weaverj:well, i like MM and MB. i'd like to have a MM one day. AFM? not so much. to each their own, right?
HELL NO it's not ok! Get out! j/k .
It doesn't come home until late December/mid-January, but it's 100% paid for with Trent at Tilt Amusements, so what the hell.
Time to return to the Carpathians for the final time. Bolting this one to the floor with AFM and TAF as its sister machines.
These three will be keepers. Others may come and go, but AFM, TAF, and BSD are safe.
CFTBL, SS, or Alien SE are next.

Quoted from Bugsy:So jealous. I want a BSD!
So get one!!!
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/for-sale-bram-stokers-dracula-5
Quoted from ToucanF16:What did you get for the second day of the year?
A ColorDMD for BSD .
What do you do after you have successfully completed a deed in lieu on your home and you're financially free?
You buy your first NIB game (GoT Pro) in over 2 years!!!!!!
Happy Valentine's Day to ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Give JJ at Games Exchange a call. This was as trouble-free as it gets.
Quoted from snyper2099:Nice! If you ever want to sell or trade it, let me know.
Lol, hes had it for like 1day and you're already calling dibs xD....!
Made an 11.5 hour journey each way to pick this one up. Slim pickings in the Florida Panhandle - you want a pin, you better be ready to be a road dog...
FTR, Stern pins fit in a 2015 Fit.
Easy to do by yourself with a 1.5" diameter PVC pipe : )!
Had to move the safe and the pool table to make space - no problem. A 3 ton low profile jack and a HF lift table, each with a 2 x 4 shaved to 17" long to keep the weight distributed across the pool table!
And just like that, 700 lbs pool table moved with a simple push : ).
After a bit of grunting, the safe was moved, and Autobot # 105 took its new home! Polk sub coming in tomorrow and LED ColorDMD on Saturday!
Quoted from yzfguy:Did you drive 11 hours there not knowing if it would fit?! I would have an ulcer thru my stomach before I got there!
Hehehehehhe. I had a pretty good feeling. I took my GoTPro to a Squadron event here at Eglin AFB, so I had a pretty good feeling about it : ). Jury is still out on B/W games. I do know Scott Weir brought a ST:TNG in a 2009 Fit with zero issues. Helped him unload it myself.
Picture here is of our Tech Advisor and the Director of Operations (read: good friends in high up places....all about the networking...!) playing after the Squadron event. They were like (2) 15 yr olds ribbing each other and having a great time!

Quoted from Darcy:WOW! You might qualify for Pinsider of The Month. That is way more further than most of us would drive for a pin.
Accepted : D!!!! Not going to deny, it is a long drive for any non-NIB game down here in the Panhandle. Last two trips have been 16 hours round trip and this one was about 23 hours roundtrip. Once I have enough $$ saved up, I will head back to Ohio for another game or two on my radar : ).
I know and trust a couple pinsiders up in that area very well and don't mind making the drive KNOWING the pin I am getting was babied with TLC.
Oh, and the reason why I got Autobots goes back to TPF 2018. Future Mrs. made it very clear: "We have to get one of these!" May have taken me 9 months, but I made it happen!!!
Brought home a Houdini NIB!!!!!

Psyche!!!! It was really Scared Stiff!!! Finally!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you, Rob Thomas at Game Exchange!!!
Quoted from waldo34:Ha, turns out you were right. Also brought home a Stern Playboy.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Playboy really is a fun game. Not insanely deep (look at my collection, I prefer fun over deep rules), and the toys/mechanisms are so bad ass. This game today would be like $10K as is or $6K with like 2 bash toys and none of the present toys.
I remember about 3 years ago making all the statements about price increases, and how I paid less for my TWD Prem than newer Pros today, and how I'd never buy another Stern with these cost increases.
I sure showed them yesterday.

Take THAT, Stern
Quoted from Garrett:[quoted image]
Thumbs up for the kitty. What a pretty tabby!!
Quoted from Boof-Ed:Brought this one home. Not mine though. Doing a friend a solid and packing it for interstate transport. I had to get a pic of two side by side though.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Look at all those playfields!!! Were those old PFs that the owner had sappwed out, or were those spares?? I wonder how he mounted them to the wall...!
Saw 3 Men and a Baby back in 1989-1990. First movie I ever saw that had a "dedicated game room" in it, and I knew I wanted to have a pinball machine/pool table in my own chill room. It was the game that made me REALLY want a machine someday.
About 33 years later, I finally acquired one.
Two games in the same week. Geez, do I have a problem.....! And you people here keep acting as enablers...!!
Thank you Jimmyhonda for an incredible game. You do NOT find F14s in this good a shape very often!

Acquiring this game is a bit of an emotional backstory. My dad used to play F-14 in the arcades, and he would often tell me about how he wanted to bring one home back in 1992-1995. I was all of 11 to 14 back then, and I remember the sheer excitement of the idea of having a pinball machine in the house.
While we were a middle class family, the idea of owning a pinball machine just seemed like another world - like we'd easily be the coolest house in the neighbor hood. Sadly, this dream did not become reality as other things came up, and we had to pass on the opportunity. Still, it was Dad's favorite pinball machine, and I wanted to get one.

Vehicle that has transported Transformers: Autobots Edition, Jurassic Park Pro, Harlem Globetrotters, and now F-14 - a 2015 Honda Fit EX. It is my little workhorse.
pasted_image (resized).pngpasted_image (resized).png
Fast forward to now, and with prices going up so fast, I knew I needed to get one soon. Dad is 75, and he has had some nasty battles with cancer. There were two dreams he wanted to make come true. One was acquiring an original Shelby Cobra - and I've done the best I can with a 1965 Shelby Roadster MK2 from F5. The other was to bring F-14 home, and now I have done it.
The goal is to bring him down from Wisconsin to Dayton soon, and we go for a ride in the Roadster and play some F-14 together. Better late than never.
I did tell him and show him the above pictures already. In his words: "I'm jealous!!!"
My response: "Don't be, Dad! You'll get to play it when you come over. I'll even put it on free play for you." ; )
