Traveled to Seattle for a wedding this weekend. Told the wife I couldn't waste the trip and not p/u a pin. Got a title that has been on my want list for sometime a Junk Yard from JP, great guy. Great machine, excited to add it to my collection.

I posted yesterday what I brought home, but was cleaning out the machine today and this is what I found. I knew the owner owned it for over 23+ years.

Just picked this one up the other day. Appears to be in good shape, but just needs a good cleaning.

Quoted from DanTheGlassMan:

Brought home an earthshaker yesterday! I've wanted one forever. Unfortunately for me when carrying it in the house my wife dropped it! The fall split the bottom corner of the backbox but with some wood glue, screws, epoxy and paint I was able to get it all fixed up. Thank god the back glass survived. It plays well so all's well that ends well.
[quoted image][quoted image]

Another wife story. My game room in our last house was in the basement. To get a machine down, there were two steps up and then 10 down to the basement. I worked out a method of leaning the hand cart back far enough to work it up the first two steps. Asked the wife to help me get a Data East Star Trek down. She agreed. Trying to get the machine up the two steps (moving it back and forth) the wife had her hands on the head "helping" oops smash went her hand against the wall and the machine. We had to stop and go to the hospital. 2 hours later stitches and a lost finger nail on her pinky. I no longer ask for her help and she won't if I ever would, but she still loves me and my hobby.

Just did a four hour around trip to pick up my first free pinball machine. Can't go wrong at that price! The seller/giver-a-way said I saved it for going to the dump.

The main issue is a cracked/broken back glass that the movers did. Anyone know if they make replacements and if so where to buy.
Let me know.....Thanks Mike

Quoted from Meteor_Rick:

I finally have something worth posting. Look at this UNICORN #Mata Hari EM I got last weekend. Surfaced at an estate sale. Serial #1097 HUO for the past 40+ years. This guy bought it for $250! Somehow he found me 800 miles away, wanting some advice on fixing it. I couldn't believe it when I learned what it was. Told him what he had and I made a BIG BIG offer. No way I was losing it. He just wanted a nice pin to play. I hired a friend to drive and make the swap. He got a huge wad of cash and a nice restored Bally Flip Flop. We both are happy. The cabinet, trim, and BG are in stellar condition. Bright colors. Super clean inside. PF needs some help but I can handle that. A few small mechanical issues but I'm an expert on EM's. Overall a beautiful, all original example of one of the rarest games ever. Never will sell so don't bother to ask! This is my crown jewel now. The search is over. I have one. Pinch me!
[quoted image][quoted image]

Congratulations on your score. It's always great when you find and purchase that one you have been looking for, exciting!

An exciting day when a pinball machine is delivered. Even better when it's two! Also didn't do it purposely, but they have been delivered on today, July 8th and it's my birthday!
Can you all guess what machines are they?

Hey thanks everyone for the birthday wishes especially from Dee Bow, but I like girls better. It has been a get one so far. I owned these two machines in the past and had to sell them off to pay for the kitchen cabinets back in 2016. So happy to buy them back from the same seller, now also in better shape then the one's I sold.
Yes, they were shipped STI on pallets. Came in excellent shape. No damage.
Attached a few more pictures.

Traded back for my Flintstones the other day from a past client. Sold him this Flintstones about 3 years ago and he played the hell out of it. (It's very dirty) Traded a Dirty Harry plus some cash on his side. Excited to have this one back as I didn't really want to sell it. Will be doing a complete restoration and cartoon conversion on it down the road. When I sold it, I had already acquired most of the conversion necessary for the cartoon change. Will post a new thread when I get going, so keep tuned in!

Thanks Colsond3! I feel very lucky that I was able to purchase it here local to the NW (only two hours away) as Zaccaria machines are scarce here in the NW. Only two Magic Castles were listed on the Pinsider map that showed in the NW. I contacted both and stumptown answered my request on possibly selling. We discussed it and a deal was made.

Quoted from Shriner37:

I've found that the two go hand in hand. The more jewelry that is acquired the easier it is to acquire pinball.

In my wife's terminology it's called accessorizing! More purses for the right occasion, dresses, shoes etc. Jewelry is the bling that brings it all together. So when I purchase a new machine, I just let her know I am accessorizing the game room!

It's hard to believe a large collection can be bought today at any good prices due to the high costs of what people want for their machines today. Hopefully you scored or at least it appears so.

Well it wasn't today, but yesterday was a pinball day.
Sold my Future Spa and delivered it to a client in the morning. Their game room is on the second floor of their house. Thank goodness that I had my Escalera as it always makes moving a pin up and down stairs easy.
Also got a non-working Lost World in trade on the Future Spa, so it was deliver Future Spa upstairs and take Lost World down.
In the afternoon I went and viewed/purchased a RoboCop. Got it for a really reasonable price. Needs a shop job along with minor repairs, but very pleased with it and will be a good addition to the game room.
Was a long day, but always fun when you acquire new machines.

Well twice in one week! Another pinball day, drove to Bend Oregon from Eugene Oregon which is about 3 hours one way. Picked this one up for an amazing price. Was advertised on Craigslist and I happen to be caller one, so was my lucky day as the seller stated once I arrived that they got a number of calls on this one, but honored their asking price we agreed on.
Has a few issues, but appeares to be minimal and shouldn't take much to get it playing.

I really like to post on this thread as it doesn’t happen very often. Wasn’t looking for this title, but happy to own it now. This doesn't happen very often you get lucky on a pinball deal. Couldn't pass on this one. Picked this one up about 40 minutes from my house for the price of 1k! Great deals still happen once in awhile.

Had a caller the other day asking me if I worked on EM Pinball machines. It’s been a long time since I have and told the client not really. He asked me if I had anything else for sale and I told him I had a LW3 I would sell. Sent some pictures to him and didn’t hear anything back from him for about a day. He then came over to my house and took a look at the LW3 and said yes, I’ll take it if I deliver it to his house. He also stated that he didn’t want the EM Pinball machine and I get that along with the sale of the LW3. So, I delivered the LW3 and picked up a bow and arrow EM Pinball machine for FREE. Even though it is an EM pinball machine that I typically don’t work on, but you never can go wrong with a free pinball machine.
It appears the Pinball machine had been in their house since around the early 80s as high scores were in the information card areas and it appears hasn’t been played since the middle 90s. Overall, the machine looks to be in good condition.

Just got Dracula from a good friend. It was one of his favorites. He let it go as he was saving up for a different machine. Excited to add this to my collection. Haven’t played it much yet, but will be fun to learn its rules.
