Quoted from mollyspub:looks like the sideart isnt faded.. nice ! what did you pay for it ?
To be honest, it is still in the back of my car and I haven't really inspected the machine much. It was a deal that I couldn't pass up, even if the condition is lacking and needing work. I will update when I get it out and can take a better look at it!
Quoted from lyonsden:Picked these up two months ago. Were sitting in a trailer for 5+ years. Have three of the four working now. Well, mostly working. Have Star Wars in play testing now. Much more work to be done over the summer.

Very cool! So neat to see these being rescued

Nice pickup! I have always wanted to play this one.. and that cabinet is looking good!
Quoted from dudah:The CL gods finally gave me something. Searching super far away from my house I found a craigslist ad for a garage sale saying they have "pinball machines". I send an email asking which ones (almost always EM's), I get a phone number for the owner. She had a T3 that was pretty much retail, but a players condition ES for a VERY fair price. 13 hours/600 miles later I'm thrilled to have gotten this! Badly needs a shop job, have a bad opto on the dropdown target, but otherwise looks great for it's age! Backglass needs to be sealed but isn't too bad.
I'm finally overwhelmed with projects where hopefully I'll keep off of CL for a while now.wa.jpg 65 KB
Awesome! Got any more pictures of the ES @@?
I have a very special machine getting delivered tomorrow or Wednesday! I'll be sure to post pictures!
Showing off my creature now that it is unloaded! Now to find a better hologram!!

She's pretty. Been in a non-pinball person's home since "early 90's" and by the condition it sits in without any work, I believe them. That shooter lane will look brand new when I clean it up

^^ Very jealous, especially of the Scared Stiff! I'm still jealous that you guys are able to find these barn finds and they are not some water-logged EM or home version
Quoted from firefighter:Space Shuttle made a 420 mile one way trip to the couple cave and fits in its parking space very well.
Did you grab this from someone in Chicago? I went out and checked this machine out when it was for sale by the original owner. We shook on a deal as I didn't have help to carry it out of the basement, but I guess the seller found someone else right after me to take it. I remember seeing those homemade metal ramp flaps
Quoted from firefighter:No I picked this up in St Louis
Interesting. It's definitely the same machine I checked out from the original owner about 8 months ago. Same small wear spot near the bottom right and metal ramp flaps that the original owner created himself. Funny how fast/far these machines move in such a short amount of time!
Quoted from Cloud7:Got this nice Whirlwind! My wife likes it more than I thought she would!
Was this the one on craigslist listed at $5,000?
Not super into this era of machines, but couldn't pass this one up. Pictures just after a wipe-down with Novus 1/2. Game is missing MPU - any cheap options to replace it?
Through networking with friends, I got in contact with an ex-Bally employee who worked from 1979-1981. He was a sound engineer and worked on Frontier. He had these two pieces of pinball "stuff" left from his time at Bally, which I struck a deal on. I don't know how many Bigfoot backglasss (actually plexiglass) were actually made, but there can't be many....
Quoted from BeaglePuss:Holy Macaroni, that's one hell of a find. That's only the second BF backglass I've ever seen.
Did he happen to mention any existence of BF machines?
Nope. He never came across the actual game or playfields. He said this was just hanging out at Bally and was given to him after the game was declined for production.
Had a super nice Pinsider help me pick up this beauty yesterday. I haven't seen it in detail in person yet, but he said it could pass as HUO. I can't wait to get it to Ohio! I'll post more pictures once I get her in my home.

Quoted from PAPPYBALL:Is your Getaway that's for sale in Barrington or Ohio?
Getaway was in Cincinnati and now gone (helped get this WoZ). I still have a rollergames for sale in Chicago!
Quoted from chadderack:Did cosmokramer start the trend of pinball selfies in the car? Someday I hope to do one too
This one was from a month or two ago
Quoted from Lord_of_the_pins:Kinda had a Awesome weekend and a total score! Picked up a Mmr le a no good gofers and revenge from mars with Star Wars episode 1 and two prize games .
Wow! Did you buy someone's collection out?
Quoted from Lord_of_the_pins:That was only half the other half went to another pinsider and he got Tom a T3 and Toten and two other prize games .
Sweet! Was it some kind of fire sale? Sounds like prices were good!
This game must have had 100 games total played on it in its' life. Seller said they had it in their family from when it was taken out of the box to when I bought it. Also picked up a No Good Gofers that's in the same condition as this one. I am literally bursting at the seams, so this one might be on the chopping block shortly. Literally cannot find a knick on the cabinet or play field to even mention. No insert wear/lifting anywhere - not even on the straight jacket insert, which seems to always have insert edging.

Quoted from SadSack:Sold this very same game 2 years ago. Diamond Plate playfield went straight to location.
What is the story with the iron man next to it? Looks like something is off with the cabinet??
Over the course of about a month, I ended up picking up all of these games and had them in storage in Chicago. This weekend, I rented a 6x12 trailer, and packed it tight with 8 machines. About 3 weeks ago I picked up a HUO NGG, TSPP x2, LOTR, and just this last weekend I picked up an original MM, Scared Stiff, Theatre of Magic, and Addams Family. I am tapped out physically, and especially, financially!!!
When I picked up B/W collection, we realized the staircase going up from the basement was way too tight to fit a game up. There are firsts for everything, and this time was hauling machines through a window....

Quoted from PAPPYBALL:Just so you know I literally now hate you!
Anything left in Barrington?
No sir - Just my Road Show which is NFS
Thanks to an awesome Pinsider who volunteered his time to road trip with me, I picked up this nice, original Flash Gordon from a tattoo shop. This is my first real dip into "older games," and I'm scared it will turn into a new obsession.
Quoted from Pinballer73:Wow, that's one nice Flash Gordon, well done! Is it all original?
Quoted from Micky:Nice pickup....congratulations!
Quoted from albummydavis:Congrats.. You just picked up one of the greatest games ever. And that pf is one of the best original ones I've ever seen.
Thank you! I'm so looking forward to diving in and possibly picking up more from this era. Everything is original. I think it's super nice for it's age!
I picked this up awhile ago but never took pictures of it. I was installing a slam ramp protector on it this evening, and snapped a few pictures. Picked this up from a person who said they unboxed it brand new, and from the condition, I believe them. This is probably the nicest condition game in my collection. Look at that shooter lane! It makes me scared to play it!!
Quoted from RonSS:That's criminal! How many plays?
I really should have looked at the audits when I picked it up, but I removed the batteries and reset the audits when I set it up. It couldn't have been many - this machine looks and plays like it was turned off its' whole life.
Quoted from Whysnow:not a single guess?
I figured the backbox art was the perfect amount of hint without being too obvious to everyone...
Andromeda! I saw pictures of it, and it looked super mint. Good score!
Quoted from Whysnow:also, since you saw pics I am guessing it was offered to you and you passed?
I am friends with the seller - he is a fantastic dude.
Quoted from Grayman_EM:No offense Ballypin towards you. But I still have not heard a word from him and to be honest it is just plain manners IMO to answer your PM's even if the machine is sold. True I didn't bid the full amount, but the post was originally from a year ago. If he wanted more (and this is to everyone out here) just ask. The least you could do is say no and I would have come up on my price. Would I buy another pin from him even if it was on my want list? Most likely not because in the end YOUR WORD is all we have. Peace
In all honesty, and im guilty of this, sellers take the path of least resistance. When I get a PM from someone asking me a million questions, and another guy saying he'll take the machine and can pick it up the next day, I'm going with guy #2. I'm in this hobby because it's entertainment - not for additional stress : /
Quoted from pinostalgia:wow that's a down payment on a house right there.
If you don't mind paying PMI :\
Quoted from Puffdanny:Yes in good condition it's been sitting under the pin for 10 years because it wouldn't fit in their basement. And yes NGG but I meant the pin in the vodka pic, that's a hard one.
You mean Tee'd Off?
Bought a jackbot completely blind (seller sent me one picture of the machine wrapped and on its back in his garage). Had a friend pick it up and when he dropped it off, he noticed all of the backbox boards were red. I haven’t looked underneath the playfield, but this might be a prototype?

Picked up four machines yesterday (2 different sellers). Some oddballs in the lot...

Quoted from Colsond3:I am down for a road trip whenever you’re ready to move that Andromeda!!! Staring at the framed backglass I picked up is making me want one.
Unfortunately, it's parked in Chicago right now This one looks nice!
Quoted from Colsond3:You are out of control. Throw that Andromeda this way and free up some space for those new games.
I'll trade ya your BSD for it
Another project. Was pleasantly surprised it had a pinscore board and displays! First seeing this note on the lockdown ... there is a rope in the coin box..

But does one of them have less than 600 plays?
I can guarantee it has less than 600 plays since the 600 play Baywatch thread
Scored this rare bird today. Looks like they only made 10. Weird Roger Sharpe game?

Either way, great find!!
Came from a non collector (pictures posted were from the seller). Story is that he owned a business that supplied electronic components to game plan. Game plan put this machine at his office as part of their ‘testing.’ Somehow, he took ownership and brought it home where it sat until I bought it
Quoted from mbaumle:I'm glad that it's now in the hands of someone who's passionate about preserving it! You never know what's going to happen with games that are in the hands of non-collectors.
In all honesty, I don't have the room anymore to keep it, so it will probably be up on the chopping block when I get around to it. I would love to keep it given the crazy history Space constraints are a bummer
Quoted from dozer1:Looks like it's a good thing I got in on that re-production coffee cup group by 5 days ago.
[quoted image]
Nice score! How does the PF look?
Quoted from J67ab:Whitewater!!![quoted image][quoted image]
Awesome score. Whitewater will be the last to leave my collection. Love that game
Quoted from Scoot:Mine arrived in a sled!
[quoted image]
This thread is so awesome for pictures like this alone
Quoted from Rolls-Royce:1st JJP at home fellas! [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Screw the machine, look at that house!
Quoted from NoQuarters:Maybe had an operators stamp or ID number on them, covered with the spray paint. Just a guess. If it was a black stamp or marker might not be able to see anything hidden by the spray paint. Wouldn't worry about it .
I’ve had plenty of HUO Stern games with the black spray under and sometimes inside the cab. I have no idea to why, but this is not unique.
Quoted from Gorgar666:I Already got offered Metallica Pro and Munsters Premium for this, should I?[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Both machines for a MBr? Hell yeah.
Had a crazy day yesterday, and was able to score two rare games. Here is the first. You hardly ever see this game, let alone in pretty presentable condition! Super pumped. Will share the other score shortly

Quoted from Colsond3:Both are nuts. I couldn’t imagine grabbing a Voltan and a Spirit in the same day. Maybe even for reasonable money.
That would be a fine damn day.
Quoted from edward472:Dang man. Saved the best for last
I’m still in disbelief. What’s even more amazing is the condition. The couple owned the game for the last 30 years, and boy does it look nice.
