Big Betty's Truck Stop arrived today via STI. Seller did amazing job packing. By far, best packaging on a pallet I've ever seen. Had only enough time to unpack and quick game or two. Good not perfect condition. No playfield wear but mylar bubbling everywhere. May try to reheat and stick to PF. Plastics good. Ramps missing two very small pieces that are really cosmetic. Game plays really well and both flipper sets are strong. Game is really clean under PF but needs a good shop out and new rubbers, a few new posts. Can't wait to get after it!

New Kiss Premium. Love the game and although I was never a huge Kiss fan, I actually love the music, love the songs and the quality of the sound on the new Spike system. Added a cheap Polk SW-10 sub and it's heaven!

Lightly modded:
- Pinnovators coin door volume and headphone control
- Fluorescent yellow lane and swling plastic protectors
- Pingraffix pinblades (put the LE version on and it looks super)
- Shaker motor
- DMD glare stopper

Should have added GOT about 2 weeks ago but here she is. Translight signed by Steve plus a few other mods. Deep and super challenging game.

Also, showing my recently completed restore on my Big Betty's Truck Stop. Got this one last year in rough shape. Completely rebuilt ramp to looking new again. Removed all PF parts and polished, cleaned. Removed mylar. Rebuilt all 4 flippers. Repainted insert keylines, then added a playfield protector. Very simple plus fun game!

It was last week ... but I picked up a Dredd in Asheville, NC in really nice shape. Had an issue with the caps on the DCS board but $14 later and a few minutes with a solder gun and she's playing perfect!

Added orange fluorescent Pinbits protectors, a Mezco Dredd figure just behind the Deadworld. New gold topper, LEDs, Orange rubbers. I replaced the pursuit plastics and decals with new ones from PBL. It's got new head decals, almost no fade on the cabinet sides and a really nice playfield. Rebuilding/cleaning the drop targets next week.

Other mods to add: Gameblades side art, some spare parts from PBSP.au, and Pinsound board (after speaker upgrade)

LOVE this game and can't believe I did not buy one years ago!

I don't have time for another project pin but I picked this one up for $500 locally from a co-worker whose better half said it was time to go. I thought it would be nice to have another System 3. I used to own Cue Ball Wizard and enjoyed it so why not? Looks like it will need another $300 or so in parts - super dirty but so far fully functional.

Replaced the flipper bats/rubbers/bat frames
Got the GI working (F9 fuse at the transformer)
LED the entire backbox
Fixed the lock in the head
Added a lock in coin box (was drilled)
Added the missing rubber grommets at the flipper pawls
Fixed the right playfield mount - it had completely fallen off the as the 8x32 screws had backed out!
It was literally jammed in there sideways and was still somehow (not smoothly) able to allow the PF to hinge up and down
Works like a charm now with proper screws

To do:
Flashers at Cacti in the back not working
Replace all rubber (new in hand)
Polish the mylar with TC kit
Wonky switch in the lock hole
LED the playfield (or maybe just leave it - looks nice with the theme)
Epoxy some minor cracks in the ramps
Re-sleeve coils, new pawls and new flipper bat PF sleeves
Wash the inside and outside of the cabinet
Rebuild and replace the drop target assemblies as one is broken off and all decals are nasty (new set in hand from Marco)

Played a few games and enjoyed it - how can you not smile at dancing Cacti?

Anyone with a CJ that knows about the flasher schematics to the area in front of the dancing cacti (stage area) just let me know
I do have a manual on order

Picked up my second Fire from awesome Pinsider @woody76. Owned one a few years ago and I missed it
This one has a brand new CPR playfield too

Arranged specifically to pick it up early this morning because we are supposed to get rain all day Sunday

Well ... we drove almost 2 hours in the sunshine and got 10 minutes from his house and it rained in a biblical way the entire pickup time and about an hour on the way home

Something told me to bring a tarp and some wood to lift it off the bed.
Other than a few drops it made it home dry!

More beauty shots tomorrow
Note there is no video just a screen shot of the downpour we drove thru

Traded my ST Prem for a GB Prem

Congrats on the game. Beautiful, fun, unique and insane implementation of the shaker during multiball!

Call outs are killer and the reverse flippers are a cool feature (just cross your arms!)

Love my GB. Not sure why the game gets hit as being clunky or too hard.

Enjoy!

Brought home my first EM. Williams Big Strike. Needs lots of love but it's all there.
I'm sure that I'm about to learn a ton!

Found $6.85 in the coinbox, so I paid $293.15. Saving it for a winter restore project

Thanks so much blondetall for the very nice example of Twin Win! Super easy to deal with and smooth transaction. Top notch Pinsider! I promise I’ll take care of her!

Played it last night and had a ball. Can’t wait to learn more about EMs.

Spent almost 2 weeks working to make contact with a local (non-pinhead) seller through FB Marketplace.
Was not a highly desireable game but thought I would give it a go at the right price.

Finally got a chance to see it live Thursday evening. It was not playable. Ball would not launch into shooter lane. Game could only be started with coin door open.
Upper left flipper did not move. Few segments were out on displays. Coin door lock missing, and key to backbox missing (drilled it). Mold everywhere on the outside as it was in a damp basement

The good: playfield was nice ... not perfect but nice. BG was perfect. Cabinet is very good ... and, once you got it started, it worked and a game could be played as long as you kept reaching under the playfield to eject the ball into the shooter lane.

I made and offer, we did some back and forth and I picked it up this morning. The gentleman that owned it bought it from an arcade in 1983 and has owned it since. Game counter show 22,000 plays or so

MOG is this thing heavy. You could bust a gut just taking out the playfield glass!

I spent about 1 1/2 hours working on it today and ...
I am never this lucky, but get this

1) The left flipper was a spade connector loose on the coil
2) The start ball eject issue was a 2 amp fuse

Needs all new rubbers but it now plays.

Artwork is crazy good.

Started hunting this title about 2 weeks ago after deciding I didn't have room for a full size or puck bowler.

My wife loves to bowl, but we never seem to find the time. She's also not the best Pinball player and gets frustrated pretty quickly with regular PB games so ...
I thought I'd try to find a Gottlieb Strikes 'N Spares to see what she how she liked it ...

She loves it! Really, really enjoyed it
We played against each other this evening for a few quick games after setting it up and really had fun
Cool game and a sure winner in a larger collection - Adds nice variety

Paid up for the title for a few reasons :
- It was only 90 minutes away
- I was able to inspect and play before pay
- This example looks almost new
- Came with 14 extra, new balls
- Owners manual, spare price cards

Great game, especially for 2 or more players! Congratulations. Make sure you have mylar on the playfield from the ball eject area to the flippers, very common wear spot on this game.

Yea. Thx for the heads up. Saw quite a few with wear there. I'll cut a paper template then transfer to piece of mylar and custom cut a piece.

Picked these up within 2 days of each other. One for me and one for my other half - she's always been a Globetrotter fan!
GBOT will get the entire restore treatment, new paint, new rails, new playfield, new plastic set, etc.
Super excited to see it fresh!

Wipe Out is a theme near and dear to my heart. Worked at a ski area as a kid, taught ski school, ran the rental shop, skied a 100 + days a year and loved every minute of it!

Actually had my name on this one months ago but it needed a few parts and repairs that the seller was able to correct so ... I just picked it up today!
Up at 6:00 am picked up the pin at 7:30, home by 8:30

Other than the normal "under the bumper skirt wear" that is common on these, it's in good condition

I plan on a light restore with this one. I know it's not a super desirable title, but I think it's a beautiful game and has really unique gameplay

MOG is that thing heavy!

Got a text from a friend that a close friend of his had a bunch of games for sale. I would get first chance to see the collection and make offers on my choices.

I arranged for a trip a few days later as the seller was out of town until then and it was a long drive
My wife and I left at 3:30 PM and got home at 2:30 AM, in bed around 3AM (ugh) with a total of 5 pins in tow (yay). That's the most number of pins I've ever bought at once!
Iron Man was a purchase for my buddy, not me

The seller was a super nice guy with an awesome collection

Picked up:
Pirates w/color DMD, insert LEDs, Pinball Pro speakers and mods
Simpsons PBP w/color DMD insert LEDs, Pinball Pro speakers and mods
X-Men Magneto LE w/color DMD, Pinball Pro speakers
Aerosmith Pro
Iron Man

Good eyes guys. No idea why that was done. I took a real close look to see if maybe it covered some damage or maybe was painting over some other writing but nothing, nada.

Even tried looking under a bright light but still nothing there ...

Quoted from bluespin:

I’m bringing this Robo War home tonight. I called the estate seller and she agreed to hold it for me so that I could drive down 400 miles from Atlanta. Of course many people tried to buy it out from under me, but she kept her word and sold it to the first caller (me). Game plays well but the playfield is dirty with no wear. Factory Mylar still on the field. Only issue is that the displays are out.
At least two people offered to pay more than her $600 asking price. People that are doing this are usually creating auctions, driving the prices up for all collectors. If you didn’t get the pin, just move on. No need to hurt your fellow collectors pocketbooks.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Congrats on the pickup! You do a lot for others here on Pinside to help them find games ... glad to see you got one for yourself - enjoy!

Got a call from dear friends that knew somebody that knew somebody that was selling their house with all contents but had a pinball to sell separately. After a few weeks of back and forth I picked up this very mint LOTR. Owner bought it new in 2005 for $4k. Picked it up for a great price and will shop it this week. Bought it sight unseen, not a single picture. When I arrived I asked if he had changed the batteries … you already know the answer (“it has batteries”?). Originals still in the battery holder but no alkaline damage!
