I rescued a Popeye from a nearby laundromat. I have wanted to play one for a long time and a local pin buddy told me there was one in a little laundromat only a few minutes from my house. Long story short, I went there multiple times and the game was always broken, sometimes for months on end. Couldn't find an operator tag, so they were owned by the location. With some help and persistence, we got ahold of the owner and made the deal to save it. Best part was that he had it fixed again before I picked it up. Got it for a great price too. She is filthy but is all there and is cleaning up nicely. Literally every single bulb in the backbox was burned out...but all the flashers worked. Can't wait to get her all cleaned up and playing again. Here are a few pics of it and a pic of my 3 year old son playing it when it was at the laundromat.

I recently completed a trade that was in the works for almost 2 years. This was pretty much the only pinball machine that could have pried Star Trek: Next Generation out of my hands. The op wanted my STTNG for years and I have always wanted a LOTR. He did a fantastic job restoring this from the ground up. It has a clearcoated playfield, hammered bronze powdercoat from Back Alley Creations, all new plastics, all the protectors, decals and it has the figures too. I am normally not a big mod or powdercoat guy as I think most of it looks out of place and/or tacky, but this powdercoat job really fits. This is what they should have put on the LOTR LE. Overall the game looks and plays like new. I'm pretty happy and now more people at Mortimer's here will get to enjoy the awesomeness that is STTNG pinball after the op goes through it and puts my old game on route. Win/win.

Joined the Wrestlemania club this weekend. I got it for a sweet price and within driving distance. It was hardly played so it looks brand new, the code was never even updated on it. I've always had a soft spot for the game and it is tough as nails to get through, which is what I look for in a home game. Excited to see how long it takes the win the championship. My biggest decision now is to go with the Divas or regular translite. I know what I would pick, but I'm pretty sure the wife will see differently.

I always hated the term Divas and that stupid butterfly belt. Back in my day....

Yeah, I would have loved the classic version of wrestling on the LE, but I wasn't going to spend the dough to get one. I think we need an alternate GLOW translite instead of the Divas one.

Quoted from d0n:

11 hours round trip from atlanta to lexington Ky and I'm sporting a new toy. For some reason, the trip didn't suck. Usually, I get in the middle of a long pinball run, my arse gets numb, I start yawning and tell myself I'm never doing this again. LOL

My wife was out of town so I took the kids (5 & 3) with me on my game run this past weekend to pick up the Wrestlemania. It was fun, about 4 hours each way, but we stopped and ate at places we normally can't eat at and really made a nice day trip out of it. Normally I dread a drive to get a game, but this time I actually enjoyed it and it was a positive for me. Made the pickup that much sweeter. Making memories.

Since I haven't picked up anything recently, I'll post this pickup a friend just made. He got it from a friend of a friend of the family who had bought it back when he won the lottery 20 years ago. It's dirty, but it plays really well for not having been used in years. It will clean up really nicely. He also got it ridiculously cheap which always helps. Color me jealous.

There's something strange in my neighborhood. Sold Judge Dredd and picked up a Ghostbusters Pro. It's in great shape, just needs a good cleaning. It has the Stern inner side art and air ball plastics already installed and the translite is signed by Ernie Hudson. It's a fun and challenging game with a fantastic theme that should keep me interested for a long time to come. Can't wait for a color dmd for this, that will be outstanding.

This one kind of came out of nowhere. Within the last couple months I bought a World Cup Soccer that I really shouldn't have as it put me over the game room limit for pins. Then this pops up 10 minutes from my house at a steal of a deal. I've wanted an Iron Maiden but honestly didn't think it was going to happen for a while since the prices as so high still, so I couldn't resist the price and pass up this opportunity. WCS is out and Maiden in. Another quick and easy 48 hour buy and sell transaction involving 4 people that didn't require either of us advertising our games for sale anywhere or dealing with tire kickers and low ballers. All transactions should be like that. Love it.

Good stuff. Where'd WCS go? I'm loving mine. Kid approved![quoted image]

It went to another local pinsider so it's in a good home. Actually, it's still in my garage right now since things moved so fast in the deals, but I am helping him move it Friday.

I love WCS too. It has something for novice, casual and advanced players. I was excited to get another one, it's the only game I've ever bought twice, but something had to go for Maiden and it was low man on the totem pole.

I was absolutely thrilled to pick this up yesterday. Put my old Wrestlemania Pro towards it as partial trade and drove just under 4 hours each way with my kids yesterday to complete the deal. Came with an unused brand new plastic set and extra ship motor too. I loved JJP Pirates from the first time I played it, but I never thought I would be picking up one of these anytime soon. It will keep me entertained for a long time to come. Super excited to have it in the lineup.

Picked this fun one up today that you don't see very often. Came with a bunch of NOS plastics too that I still have to go through. Needs to be cleaned and shopped out, but I'm excited to get it set up.

Haven't really started digging into Torpedo Alley yet but these were nice to find. All of them new old stock with the protective plastic still on. If my game doesn't need some of these I'll probably sell the extras that I have if anybody needs some.

Not quite a machine, but part of one. I picked up a JJP Pirates about 7 months ago and the opportunity to pick up a NOS playfield just popped up locally for a great price. I don't need the playfield right now, but JJP is sold out of them and I am going to be keeping my JJP Pirates for a long, long time so I figured it can't hurt to keep this too.

I was made an offer I couldn't refuse on my GB Pro, so sadly it has moved on, but to celebrate I picked up not one, but two pins! First one was a Star Trek Pro at a great price. I'm in the process of shopping it out, adding a color dmd, etc and it should clean up nicely. Looking forward to finally get Five Year Mission now that I have one at home. Second game is a JP2 Pro. Game is in fantastic shape, looks hardly played. Such a great, challenging game with so much do to, it should keep me busy for some time to come. I'm really happy with my current collection (Torpedo Alley is already on it's way out too), so getting new games in the future is going to difficult because at least one will have to leave to make room.

Quoted from alexanr1:

Would love to pick up another used machine, but people are asking ridiculous prices for machine now! How are folks finding deals, or maybe you aren’t and are paying these ridiculous high prices!

I have noticed that asking prices are getting ridiculous on some games. People are getting desperate in many instances and want to buy and buy now. I was blindly solicited to sell my GB Pro and was able to get well over market value for it, so I couldn't say no to selling it. Because of that, I was able to pick up Star Trek and JP2 and still at well below market value just based on networking and dealing with more local connections. If you have cash, a reliable reputation, show up when you say, does what you say and doesn't go through the game with a microscope and nitpick everything...you'd be surprised the deals you can get. I know personally I rarely ever end up posting one of my games for sale publicly because I am willing to sell at or just under market value to complete an easy sale. I have several people I contact personally when one of my games are for sale and 9/10 one of those people wants my game before it's even available to the public. And likewise, people will reach out to me with a game that they want to sell for an easy sale and we'll complete a deal without it hitting the public.

I didn't expect to be picking anything up only 3 days into the new year, especially when I was already a game over the limit space wise, but this popped up and I couldn't not buy it for the price. I know most people don't like it, but I have fond memories of the WWE / Stern King of the Ring Tournament and I had a WWE before and have always enjoyed the challenge of it. I only got rid of it before because I traded it for cash & space towards my JJPPOTC which I don't regret for a second, but now I have one back and way sooner than I ever thought I would. My biggest problem now will be figuring how to fit these games in my game room if I want to keep them all.

It's not a pin and I didn't bring it home today, but it's a fun addition to the game room so I thought I would share. I ended up selling my Fun Chicken to someone who really wanted it and in addition to cash, he threw this in. One of those retro rocket gumball machines. It's all metal, really nicely made. I'll have to hit up Sam's Club and get some gumballs for it. It doesn't even look like it was ever used.

That is pretty cool Les! The fun chicken, is it the one that clucks as it turns around and drops a egg?

Yep. This one was from a local arcade chain called Circus Pizza which was why I wanted it. It was also the reason the guy buying it wanted it, so since I had had it for years and that blue Selectrorama vending machine behind the Rocket Gumball Machine is also from Circus Pizza, I went ahead sold it to him.

Quoted from Liftserv:

lesmanley and hazmat7719 mine came from a haul a few years back, got some pins, vids, claw machines, Skeeball, and bubble gum machines. At the time I thought what the heck am I going to do with this? Turns out my wife had the idea of taking the eggs filling them with candy, loose change and dollar bills (in the gold eggs). We did this for Easter Sunday with the egg hunt for the grand kids, nieces and nephews. Turned out to be a heck of a lot of fun for them. Best part is when they learned about the gold eggs they started to tackle each other to get gold ones, lesson learned.[quoted image]

I was always a sucker for those egg machines. I loved them as a kid. This is what I traded for my Fun Chicken years ago. It was one of those animatronic parrots in a cage that talked to you in attract mode and when you bought an egg. My home town video store had one of these in the 80's and I always wanted an egg when we went to rent a movie.

Doesn't have the original receipt, but I didn't see any shooter lane wear so I am going with undocumented HUO. Has original rubber and incandescent bulbs, I don't even think the original owner knew you could open these up. Best part is no pooling or chipping at the playfield posts!

It's been awhile for me, but when the opportunity arose locally, I couldn't pass it up. GNRLE, HUO, 500 plays, no post / playfield damage. Fully decked out with all the Lior mods, topper, mirror blades and more. Also included a Klipsch subwoofer. It will fit in nicely next to it's older brother JJPPOTC. I am very excited to start really exploring this one!

Completely unexpected but I did add a game over Christmas this year. TS4CE has joined the lineup and will look great in it's new permanent home next to it's brothers POTC and GNR...right now it's in the middle of the room. The game is absolutely beautiful, I don't even feel like I should remove the protective plastic.

I got a trade offer I couldn't refuse, so I joined MI6 this morning. I really enjoyed playing the game during the launch party, but I never thought I'd be picking up one so soon, especially new in box. In fact, it's the first ever NIB Stern for me. It's going to be a few days before I can get this into the gameroom, but I'm excited to be able to add one to the collection.

I was made an offer I couldn't refuse so I joined the family. Absolutely beautiful game with some added mods and extra stuff included. Local pickup, amazing price and a great seller made the deal even better. I love Eric's games so I'm excited to get into this one. This one rounds out the Meunier trilogy for me.

I'm glad I had Eric make this card up for me at Expo. I wanted the game and was hoping to get one at some point, but I didn't think it would be so fast.
