Quoted from Colsond3:Awesome finds...games look clean and very good condition.
Thanks, totally bang for buck! I usually shop them instantly, like I did with Mav. - Get pin, drive to PBL to see Terry, spend the next 20hrs shopping.., enjoy..
Wish I could find deals on pins like TZ above.. But around here they cost about a kidney to a kidney n a half..
Quoted from cosmokramer:man, how convenient that must be...that would save me a lot of headache
Plus I disrupt their days work and jam numerous games of pin! Last time I think I caused a total stoppage, like 10 employees were playing pin after me and Terry had fired up his minty Baywatch.. Fun stuff!
Quoted from chuckwurt:That game is awesome. Lucky!
I am on a mission to get ALL early DE's!
12hr round trip for Monday Night and APB! Anything for pinball! Ha!!
Quoted from ArkhamB:What was the deal?
Hmmn.. I got it for quite a bit less than when the sold NIB back in the day? - (And yes Vid.. although the guy was dead, I still left cash on his corpse. I'm fair.)
Already cleaned and LED'd, just needs a rebuild, tweeking, and a pingulp or 4.
(Edit - After research on the 2003/4 NIB price, I saved enough to buy another minty Laser War. Teets)
Quoted from wantdataeast:I would have written him a check and left it on his corpse instead.
Not a problem, I know where he still is.. I'll write up one of those rubber checks and swap! Thanks for the tip!
Quoted from Colsond3:Nice grab...and word play. Interesting lock down bar. Painted and clear-coated, or decal?
Ha.. I'm gonna see how far I can throw that lockdown bar soon. Just have to stop by Pinball Life and grab a new one along with legs first.
Shabby powder coat job so someone put that shabby sticker on. Other than fade and a few tweaks needed, solid pin for 2k in my book!
Quoted from SilverUnicorn:I am guessing you got that from Vince?
Good pickup!
Chris
I did. I've wanted a Zac for some time and finally one popped up.. It needs some help, that's for sure!
Quoted from northerndude:NICE, needs a scrubbin' though!!!
For sure! The original owners NEVER wiped it. The pin is mint otherwise..
A quick wipe and wax so I can play it before a full shop.... Thing smells like dirt weed, like bad bad..
IMG_8903 (resized).JPGIMG_8904 (resized).JPGIMG_8901 (resized).JPGQuoted from jesperpark:Wow the outside vs the playfield are a huge contrast. Nice pickup!!
Right.. Crazy. - The first pin I won't lose on, was a killer deal!
IMG_8905 (resized).JPGQuoted from Wmsfan-GAP:How many plays were on it? It prolly wasn't touched since it was opened.
My only other Stern was a LOTR.. I don't know how to check that.. but will.. - The batteries were dead (one was missing), no leakage.
It came with the goodie bag even.
Quoted from northerndude:People literally don't know how to get the glass off. The first pin I ever bought, the guy said "some bulbs burnt out, didn't know how to get to them"
Yep, the glass on this has been on there for a LONG time.. Weed particles under the lockdown bar, dirt weed that is.
I didn't know dirt weed was still available??, but this guy had a blazing hog leg in his mouth when I grabbed it. Rock on dood!
Anywho, sorry to muck up this thread with dirt weed talk.. - The pin was a score, worth 10k at least after my wipe down! (JUST KIDDING PP)
Quoted from RWH:Looks like Santa was good to you!
Agreed!
IMG_9644 (resized).JPGIMG_9645 (resized).JPGQuoted from gdonovan:Welcome anytime of course to check it out, I'm already going through it and chucking the incandescent bulbs in the trash.
[quoted image]
And a Laser War with topper?? - Hey, if you or a family member ever need a kidney, I'd trade both mine for that bad boy.
Seriously, let me know if you ever want to sell LW, I miss all 3 I sold, especially my minty one damnit!
Quoted from pinostalgia:how many more "turds" you're hiding inside that enclosed trailer?
NO turds allowed in the trailer.. Theres about 2000lbs of toys in it tho! Will be revealed at a later date, maybe...
Here's a neat pic I happen to have on my phone though... Bahhaaaa!
