#2248 7 years ago
Quoted from Zarklin:

Never thought I'd want one till I got into pins. It'll be the next vehicle. Nice TWZ btw!

2 pins 1 van. Also drives great. Love my Honda Odyssey. This is the second one I have owned.

#2251 7 years ago
Quoted from dothedoo:

Only 2? My friend used to put 3 in his Pontiac Montana. That was the beauty of a van as a pinhauler.

Not sure I could comfortably shove 3 in. I can get one across the middle through the sliding doors and one in the back with room for the dolly.

#2254 7 years ago
Quoted from dothedoo:

The heads would have to be removed that's the key, but yes, one across the middle and two in the back, heads laid on top.

At the point where I am removing heads I think I would just rent a uhaul.

#2258 7 years ago
Quoted from dothedoo:

You are very lucky. We HAVE to remove the heads to get games in and out of our basements. Sure wish we had walkouts.

No walk out here. Just a wide enough door way and flight of steps

#2272 7 years ago

Picked up a WCS for a buddy of mine. Worst basement stairs situation ever getting it in to his house but we eventually made it work.

His first pin!

I'm in the EM club. Working Super-Flite for $85. No paint on BG, but at least the guy started to sand the lead paint off for me!

I recently picked up a nice Super Flite for $500 for a buddy. Yours may need a little love!

I am not bringing it home, it is being brought to me by a fellow Pinsider in a few hours!!

#2438 7 years ago
Quoted from Gnatty:

Kevin is a good dude, your new JM is a real nice machine!

So far dealing with Kevin has been awesome. I look forward to adding the JM to my collection today.

I am also picking up a HUO but cabinet scratched Monopoly today on the cheap. Photos once I get it. My Frankenstein with DMD Extender is leaving for a new home today as well. Pinsider in Columbus is picking it up and another local Pinsider may be stopping to buy my Ms. Pacman multicade and a CL guy and Injust finished a deal for him to buy my Turbo Outrun (heavier than a pin!!!)

It is a crazy gaming day

#2447 7 years ago

I said goodbye to my MSF and ended the day with these 2 in the Gameroom.

I have 1 pin more than I have space right now!

It's in pretty good shape overall. Cabinet does have a little chipping on the front panel and some wear where the legs were set low for the kids. I like it so far.

Did you pick this up from a CL add in Ohio?

And just when you think you can sell a game and drive home with an empty van, you stupidly check Pinside to see what's for sale in the MD,VA region because you are going to be driving home to Cleveland the next day and end up snagging an RBION. Now to load up the family and head back to CLE before tip off! Let's go Cavs!

Picked up Friday evening and dropped off at my buddies house. He and I spent most of Saturday tearing it down and bringing this WPT back to life. Needs a few lamp sockets replaced still as I ran out but it is 99.5% complete now.

Tons of switch issues and mechanical problems all of which were taken care of. Before in its previous home and after we got it back together and lit up shots.

image_(resized).pngimage_(resized).png

image_(resized).jpegimage_(resized).jpeg

#2764 7 years ago
Quoted from Colsond3:

Game looks great after some work Bos. Did they really have incandescents in that game still? That game screams for LED's.

Incandescent bulbs everywhere except for the back box which had a LED strip zip tied to the CFL which was disconnected either due to a dead bulb, starter, ballast, tombstones or all of the above. All new parts were ordered to remove the hackery!

#2776 7 years ago

image_(resized).jpegimage_(resized).jpeg

#2784 7 years ago
Quoted from Agent_Hero:

...and mirror blades. I've never played WPT but I love the pictures of a WPT all shined up with mirror blades and LED's.

Tilt is working on some special GameBlades for WPT so I am hanging tight on that.

Our son's babysitter's mom wanted it gone when she heard I was in to pinball. Needs some work as something as yet to be determined is cooking some transistors but it is in excellent physical condition as it has been in her basement since 1997

Quoted from dmbjunky:

Whoa that sounds like a deal. I don't want to ask the price but did you make out like a bandit?

Well I did pay her for it but the batteries had leaked and there was damage and it was dirty and needs to be shopped.

Maybe not Bandit but perhaps I made out like the wheel man.

I have already replaced the M6802 and socket

The 7402 and added a socket and replaced some transistors but I have a dead coil that needs replacing and it is some odd data east thing that is $30 from Marcos.

I dropped about $200 in parts tonight.

I know most people don't care for this one but the cabinet had zero fade, matching numbers boards to cabinet, no burn on connectors, ultra bright DMD, and has a near perfect playfield. Minor switch adjustment in progress and then a little LED treatment coming up.

Faded to death but cabinet is really solid with a really great playfield. Can't wait to con a friend in to helping me bring it inside so I can start tearing it down.

Picked up this FREE Black Rose today, cabinet has nearly all the color and no playfield wear (look at that cannon) pretty awesome.

Someone in CLE on Craigslist is trying to get $4K for his. What is the back story on your find?

#4312 7 years ago

Picked this up the other day. Needs some love but the parts are already on their way. I did a preliminary topside tear down and cleaned and waxed the playfield. Came out pretty nice. New boat playfield will be ordered and possibly spring for a new CPR playfield if someone has one at a reasonable price they decided not to install.

Yeah strip twist solder shrink will be the methodology. Taking a pause to take a trip to the national zoo with my family. I just happen to be in Baltimore this weekend. Anyone local want to help put this sucker back together tonight with me and my father in law?

We have beer in Ellicott City!

Ps. Playfield is not that great but hey if I can get it playing and keep it under $1200 I am considering it a winner.

#4603 7 years ago
Quoted from Colsond3:

A Getaway for $700 is definitely worth a little hassle. Hopefully it's not too problematic and everything matches up. Still don't understand people sometimes...that person didn't realize that everything unplugs, unclips or can be detached before breaking out the snips?? The things we come across in this hobby never cease to amaze me.

Apparently they did not. 20 wires to go it taking a break to run some errands. Hopefully it will minimally power up and I can figure out what else is wrong with it. For sure the driver board needs new headers for the GI and the harnesses will be redone with molex. That won't happen until next weekend though as I snagged this game in Baltimore while visiting family, and almost all of my pinball stuff is back in Cleveland.

X-men LE Magneto #248

Decked out with mods. Only need a little adjusting post shipping and to find the magneto ball gate screw that came loose in order to get it playing 100% after its freight journey.

Time to rearrange the lineup to get all the Marvel pins together. X-men, Deadpool and Guardians.

TZ in a home for 23 years. Dirty but functional. Matching serial number boards. Playfield is in excellent condition. Coindoor doesn’t have a mark on it and the light board is still white!

Batteries clearly leaked but no board damage.
GI connectors burned but have now been replaced.

My neighbor, seen below, went with me to pick it up a whopping 3.8 miles from my house.

Quoted from grantopia:

Was that the one on FB? Was wondering what it would go for ha.

Substantially less than what they were asking, which was based off of what they paid retail from Danny Vegh's years ago...

I’ve been busy. Idle hands and all!

Just got MBr LE setup and will get to the AFMr LE once I stop sweating and eat some dinner!

I setup a little arcade in the garage for my boys and the other kids and parents on the street. Been a huge hit and have gotten a bunch of people excited about playing nightly now!

Quoted from Green-Machine:

There is Pisanellos in my area just south of Dayton. Franklin Ohio

Miss BGSU. Miss Pisanello’s, also Mr. Spots. Used to live near Dr. Scott’s in Maumee.

Good times.

18 hour round trip to trade for an Avengers IQ LE. Done in a single day and the furthest I have ever gone just for pinball!

Left at 3am and was home at 9pm.

Including 2 refuels a stop at IKEA and a 1.5 hour traffic jam it wasn’t too terrible.

I changed up the t-molding and added some PinStadium lights.

Out of respect for the truck driver who may have lost their life in the wreckage, no pictures of the accident were taken.

My pinball sidekick and I made an impromptu road trip to pickup this Mandalorian Pro. He got a solid 2 hour nap in on the way home.

Quoted from OldHockeyGuy:

In a week where I have two memorial services, this post made me smile so much. Those moments with a happy kid are so precious, and you clearly value them.

Thank you and sorry for your losses. Making memories is what life is about.

A few days ago I made a little trip to pick up this LE. I had my son prepped and waiting for it in the game room with his Godzilla blanket.
