Quoted from Bos98:

Ps. Playfield is not that great but hey if I can get it playing and keep it under $1200 I am considering it a winner.

A Getaway for $700 is definitely worth a little hassle. Hopefully it's not too problematic and everything matches up. Still don't understand people sometimes...that person didn't realize that everything unplugs, unclips or can be detached before breaking out the snips?? The things we come across in this hobby never cease to amaze me.

Apparently they did not. 20 wires to go it taking a break to run some errands. Hopefully it will minimally power up and I can figure out what else is wrong with it. For sure the driver board needs new headers for the GI and the harnesses will be redone with molex. That won't happen until next weekend though as I snagged this game in Baltimore while visiting family, and almost all of my pinball stuff is back in Cleveland.

Hey UofG2000. I have had this machine for about 8 years now. I dont hve the time or ability to do the repairs required so send it out to technicians. This just came back from 2 hours of work at Playdium in Toronto. I need to find a soundboard for this game. Can anyone offer suggestions?

#4607 7 years ago

Just finished the arcade area in my basement and got a new game from a great local seller.

great first choice, I love the guitar riffs during game play...

Hi,
Are you missing the sound board completely or it doesn't work? There are after market boards for sqawk and talk.

There's nothing quite like enjoying the fine, wood-grained texture of a cab while you're draining balls on a new pin.

Finally get to post on this thread. Bought a Gold Wings for $250 bucks. My first full size pin and my first project pin. The ceiling is too low for the topper but it will do for now. First order of business, ground mods, clean, wax, LED, and rubbers.

Mine has been in storage for a couple of years. As I recall, it needs to have the switches recapped. I may drag it back out.

Not as good as you might have imagined. I was quoted one price via email, which I accepted. When I called to purchase the game, the seller tacked on an extra $1,000. Apparently the seller's brother made the listing without clearing a price with him first.

It ended up being a fine deal, which will turn into a fair deal once I'm done going through everything lol. That's the nature of the beast I suppose.

pookycade Mr and Mrs Pacman is my first solid state with voices, and I am enjoying it so far, I like the video mode. I am a fan of Pacman so the theme is great. Playfield is rough with some repairs though, really wishing I could find an overlay for the playfield. So if anyone knows if one exists, let me know
