My second NIB purchase. I need to watch the movies now.

There's really no need. The last one is the only half decent one.

Fun pin. It's nice to watch the movies and then understand all the modes. I'm not a huge fan of Star Trek in general but thought the movies were pretty good. I still need to watch Congo and Shadow - my other pins based on movies.
Finally picked up this hard-to-find old girl (thankfully my new-to-me particular/unique example is in pretty nice condition, too! After all these years each machine is unique and this one is definitely a survivor.), after being contacted recently about an 10-month-old expired wanted ad for this title. Can't wait to get it set up in my basement gameroom. Feels meant to be!

Quoted from schudel5:Picked up yesterday down in Indianapolis. Cleanest inside of any EM I've ever had. It needs a good shop as I think the rubber rings and bulbs are still from 1977.
Holy crap, I think I'm going to need a towel. That's EM pinball porn right there.

Carefully, Novus 2 is abrasive.
Love seeing all of the games people are getting. The hobby is alive and well. Nothing against the newer titles. Just love to see the older classic games you guys are grabbing. I have a smaller collection (10 games) and typically concentrate on restored classic games. Recently picked up Stern Cheetah and Stern Stars (posted that a few weeks ago). Just picked up a Stern Quicksilver for under $200.00. It is missing quite a few things like most of the boards and displays (they did leave the MPU which is a surprise). Missing some flipper mechs and the spinners. However the play field is pretty much intact. The cabinet is in very good condition. All harnesses and display brackets etc still intact. I have all of the boards and displays, and flipper parts. Just ordered a BG Resto back glass. Would like an original but not a big deal at this time.
This game will be getting a top tier restoration. Current lineup and Quicksilver project picture.

Glad you are happy with it Stephen and I am happy it found a good home!

That was a STEAL right there!
Had a super nice Pinsider help me pick up this beauty yesterday. I haven't seen it in detail in person yet, but he said it could pass as HUO. I can't wait to get it to Ohio! I'll post more pictures once I get her in my home.

Have a lead on a not working classic Stern Seawitch @ $100. No idea of condition.
Going to look tomorrow, but don't see how I can pass at that price... pics to follow.
Any opinions on this pin? Good / Bad

Terrible! Sell it to me...
A solid game by most accounts. Not as pretty as Fathom, but more fun?

I hate it even more than Fytr! Sell it to me! I am looking for a Seawitch to restore as my first project.
Did I mention how much I hate this pin?
Found this gem on Craigslist this morning, out on the eastern plains of Colorado. It's been in the farmers basement since 1992, yep it's HUO. Said the kids played it "some" but mostly just been sitting there for 25 years. He was shocked when I removed the back glass and he saw what was behind there. Luckily the original batteries had not leaked yet so no corrosion to worry about.

Holy crap. All original.

I want a 1980 Stern in the collection next.
Picked up the $100 Seawitch this morning. The guy had this for nine years stored in his home. He never had it running.
The good:
Overall physical condition is decent - cab paint acceptable, backglass has minor flaking (looks good unlit), playfield wear not too bad (left upper flipper wear mostly), plastics good, and all boards are there. Oh - & it was an easy load out.
The bad:
Wiring hacks abound. Wires soldered directly to boards, has some automotive crimp connectors here & there. Looks like I will get some quality solder time in on this one.

Interesting - it has the "Brick" bottom board.

Still had the original battery, no leakage! hooray. Yes, it has been cut out.
Great looking Seawitch find. Hacks aside, playfield/back glass alone is worth it!!
Let us know how it turns out!
That's a steal of a Seawitch. I'd rather spend a day of soldering, than fixing cabinet or playfield damage.

Sorry guys, it's too nice to move w/o repairing & playing it for a while. It's a keeper I think.
Quoted from sublime90803:682 miles later and 12 hours in the car I brought home a game I've always wanted. All stock.
is it holding a gun to your back?
that's the first thing I thought when I saw the photo...great game, I love mine

Old Sterns are really great.

Nice! I am working on one now. If you figure out how to remove the safe assembly can you let me know?
Chris
Quoted from Crispin:Nice use of space Colson. Do you really need that door?
Not if somebody wants to buy two boxers!!! JK.
Quoted from Lemank:Today's pick up. The only bad thing is the previous owner cut the wires in the back. Thank you letgo!
So they for sure didn't know about the Jones plug's. I hope they let it go cheap since they didn't have a clue....

They cut them twice.

Game looks nice! Was that the one from New York?

Thanks! Not sure, it was done by Rob G. and the rockland guys so maybe?

Cool red plastic shooter knob.

Yeah I dig it. Is it not stock? First time playing this not on my iPad, blew the first multiball so badly hah.

...
For completeness sake (since I'm in this thread anyway) these two knuckleheads showed up last weekend courtesy of RTR. Thanks Mike!

Yeah, that was theirs. Nice game. Rob and the crew there do really nice work.

And red shooter is not stock, but looks nice. I'm not a purist, and I replace the shooter rods on all my games. Sometimes with a replacement stock, sometimes with custom ones. Multi-ball can be tough on CFTBL. Great acquisition though. I'll have to swing by and play it.
Quoted from Fezmid:So I just took possession of my first pinball machine!
Congrats!!!!!!

Congrats, and welcome to the hobby!! Rob is an awesome dude, and Rockland Pinball for that matter. I will definitely do business with him again in the future!!!

Oh yeah, all my rods are generally replaced with the pinball decals chrome spherical ones. I'm a huge fan of mods etc... I was just curious about the origin.
Man, you're welcome to swing by anytime if you're in the NYC area and I'm around. Just Pm me. It's super embarrassing having every mediocre high score in my name haha... I have literally zero real life pinball nerd friends here.
Quoted from Fezmid:So I just took possession of my first pinball machine!
Congrats, welcome to the sh*t
Outstanding choice I got my first one from Rob too.
