Picked up 5 machines between me and a buddy. Left at 7:30 AM and got back at midnight. First stop was in Phoenix for a Silverball Mania with a great cab/head and pretty decent playfield. Then on to SOCAL for another SBM for him (one for home and one for route) and then Popeye, Diner, and Police force for me. All were dirty and needing new bands and many bulbs. The sys 11's but had a toasted battery and minor corrosion. Cleaned that and added a remote CR2032 battery and they both booted fine. Popeye is dirty and has some switch errors which will all be resolved soon. It also claims to have ~900 plays on it, which I am confident is accurate based on wear and under PF soot, or the lack thereof.

Just delivered by Don Bosworth of http://www.pinballsonthemove.com/.
I purchased these five games over the last six months and finally got them delivered today.

RFM

Can anyone guess what jukebox is against the back wall and what car shares the garage with these pinball machines?

Not so much new as newly refinished.

Just got my repainted North Star cabinet back from Ken Head.

This game will now look new all around.

Picked up a project shadow Monday . It's ruff but cheap. 2 games in 2 weeks here.

Exactly 13 months ago to the day, I picked up my first table. Today (well, really yesterday as it is now 2:19 AM and I should be in bed) I picked up my second. There will be better pictures to come, but this will be good for now. Drove to get it in an insane thunderstorm, which was a nice touch.

Anyway, time for bed. Work will come far too early in the morning, but I can't wait to finish up there and head for home. I'll start breaking our new addition down for cleaning tomorrow as soon as I get home, and then it's on to the first of many "news" - new rubbers, new plastics, new drops. Can't wait!

Thanks. Friends from church camp had them. They were in the youth building hardly getting used.
They wanted money for their missions trip, so it was a win/win for everyone and I got to help the church as well

Not a full machine... but have had my Astro "Black Sheep Squadron" few a couple years now; with a backglass that was flaking most all the dark blue.
This week, I grabbed what appears to be a NOS backglass off eBay. It was framed long ago and pulled from an estate sale of an old eccentric military guy.
The black marks on the back, are from where the framing springs held the cardboard in behind it. A few of those spring-spot have peeled a tiny bit of paint... but it's all black edging... so will be easy to touch up later.

Best I can tell... it was never installed in a game. It has an ever so slight, but long scratch on the left side... so the glass was probably never used, put off the to side and eventually ended up in this frame.

It's overall way better condition then my original glass. (especially that annoying spot right between her cleavage. LOL)

Comet and Quick Draw

good news, they both fit in a 2012 Honda Pilot. The only reason the comet head is off is it wouldn't fit through his door.2015-06-02 13.29.56.jpg

ST Premium- it's about time!

image.jpg
#443 4 years ago

ST Premium arrived yesterday in almost perfect condition: the only thing I found that was off was that the magnet under the Vengeance was unscrewed quite a bit, resulting in a place where a ball would get stuck. A simple fix to screw it back up to flush with the play field, and it's working great! There was a lone washer floating around the box as well, but after searching, we couldn't find any place where it was supposed to be used...we're holding on to it just in case though.

Today I'll install the following mods (The only non-factory parts installed yesterday were ultra gloss balls, thanks to the feedback of fellow pinsiders...thank you, and Aurich's replacement instruction cards):

—Shaker Moter
—Subwoofer (Bose, is sitting around not being used anyway)
—Blue translucent Superbands for the flippers
—Translucent mini post rubbers (10 for now, including the critical warp ramp posts)
—BriteButtons illuminated flipper buttons (red to match the candy red of the Premium)
—LED Speaker lights
—Blue under-cabinet lighting

Still waiting to receive the following:
—Aurich's translight (got it in under the wire)
—3d "enterprise" blue flipper toppers
—Wireless remote control for SAM

Big Betty's Truck Stop arrived today via STI. Seller did amazing job packing. By far, best packaging on a pallet I've ever seen. Had only enough time to unpack and quick game or two. Good not perfect condition. No playfield wear but mylar bubbling everywhere. May try to reheat and stick to PF. Plastics good. Ramps missing two very small pieces that are really cosmetic. Game plays really well and both flipper sets are strong. Game is really clean under PF but needs a good shop out and new rubbers, a few new posts. Can't wait to get after it!
