Quoted from PatrickB:Picked up a Buck Rogers last week, great artwork on the backglass.
Ah, man. Gil Gerard. That was a big deal when I was a kid
Quoted from chadderack:Ah, man. Gil Gerard. That was a big deal when I was a kid
Yep, specialy the chick, what was her name,Erin or something.
Quoted from SilverUnicorn:Wow, that looks lke a big project. Was that in a flood? If so, you may want to insure there was no sewage that got into it. No sense gettign super sick bringing a pin back. Good luck on the restore!
Chris
No it have not !
It has been in a barn for many many years without a playfield glass.
The metal on top on the playfield has rust all over.
Under the playfield is pretty good in comparison.
But look at those plastics and unbroken ramps.
The playfield is much better than most Diner's i have seen.
This is going to be an beauty !
Quoted from Chisox:Just scored a Tommy a few days ago and am loving it. Never played it before the purchase, what a great game. The perfect game to play after getting my ass handed to me by Ghostbusters all the time. Color DMD installed today, really makes the dots pop.
Cause there's nothing that makes you feel better about being beaten up by ghosts more than being beaten up by a deaf, blind kid.
Quoted from Mfsrc791:Finally got a lord of the rings!!! Been looking for one and rob from rockland pinball contacted me about a mint condition one he had.
Congrats. That one was on my want list for a long time too. Finally picked one up a couple weeks ago. Fantastic game/theme. They really hit it out of the park with that pin in terms of fulfilling the theme as well as making a great game.

Ya they did. It has to be sterns best 2000-2010 era game. Tspp is awesome too but the lotr theme edges it out.
A little late due to family emergency over the weekend. D&D complete, and fully working after a bit of soldering (at the seller's house), needs a bit of love and clean up. Also grabbed his Conquest 200, because I had to once I saw it. Apron and PF are in ridiculous shape. Thing looks like it has never been played at all. nikpinball and davideokills ....I got another D&D!!
Quoted from Andyzola87:colsond3 The guy I traded with had only has room for one machine and he had already played through this RS multiple times. He got bored with it and Judge Dredd was on his list of games he wanted. He provided me with a title that I felt would do better on location and I provided him with a title that will hopefully last him a while and keep him busy. I personally like JD better then RS, but I need pins that will bring in money and I feel RS will do much better then JD. It wasent about the worth of the machines, it was about two guys helping each other out and I think that's what makes this hobby awesome .
Glad the trade worked out the way it did. I agree that dredd is way more fun than roadshow. I think as time goes on,people will realize that. Just waiting on my color dmd to set it up.

Haha Colson! Couldn't live without could ya? When is that mephisto finally going to be the pin I see in this thread?
Quoted from wantdataeast:High Speed
original mylar on the playfield, some wear up top, and a pretty below average back glass but at $250 i'll take them all day!
Damn nice score, I love that game...I have owned 2 and one day I will do a restoration and keep it.
Quoted from cosmokramer:Damn nice score, I love that game...I have owned 2 and on day I will do a restoration and keep it.
I'm about to get another to try and keep, maybe I'll do the same? This title is just so easy to play and trade off, who knows what will happen
Quoted from cosmokramer:Damn nice score, I love that game...I have owned 2 and one day I will do a restoration and keep it.
You know something... i do not have room for this game but I feel something about it... this particular game is sort of calling to me to keep it. I think this one is mine for good. I am going eventually do a restore on it, until then I am going to get it 100% playable and enjoy it until restore time.
She has found a permanent home.
Quoted from Andyzola87:Haven't brought it home yet but I'll be bringing home a Motordome on Sunday that I picked up for 200 bucks. Fully working and looks to be in good condition
Actually.......you won't be. I just offered them $300 and I'm grabbing it Saturday. JK.
That's a pretty cool game at a great price. Post another pic with better lighting when you get it home. If I recall that game has a really weird coin door.
Quoted from Colsond3:If I recall that game has a really weird coin door.
Can confirm that the menu and test "buttons" are not like your standard menu buttons. It's this really weird keypad. I have owned two Motordomes.
Technically I brought her home this morning at 1am but started yesterday morning at 6:30am. How sick am I? Sick enough to drive into NYC for a morning meeting at work, then straight off to the far west end of PA to score this unicorn! I immediately had to turn around and drive back to the island to get back at work this morning. 20170127_210027 (resized).jpg20170127_143632 (resized).jpg

Awesome score. I'm sure you're still running on adrenaline and ready to play. We can sleep when we're dead right?
Quoted from Chosen_S:That's just my style!
Lol, anything to make it happen! The wife is always throwing out obstacles when a new pin is on the horizon. This time I had quietly saved for a Hobbit in mind but was distracted like a dog. Squirrel!
Quoted from Chisox:I'm sure you're still running on adrenaline and ready to play.
Thanks, yeah I'm pumped to play. Haven't had a chance to set her up yet because she doesn't want to go back to 2 pins in the living room.
Sadly no, but have to start saving for that. She's fully LED'd with cooling fans mounted on the back of the head and one fan right in the neck of the game cooling the boards. Is this overkill? The gent who was nice enough to honor the responders in order also threw in a new set of decals, extra set of drop targets and decals and a CC lunchbox with matching thermos!

Cooling fans? Was it a cl or pinball classifieds deal? Thats cool i wanna see the lunch box. Must been a good deal if there were bunch of people after it lol. Good pickup tho. My friend has a ccc one and its quite interesting to say the least

Rad!
Can we please see pics of lunchbox and thermos?

Here's a matching watch to add to the collection.
Quoted from Boof-Ed:Brought this beauty home today after a 12 month chase.
The chase is half the fun!
Quoted from dmbjunky:Anybody know what this is? I saw one on another forum and while checking CL last week for something else I found one for sale. It was a eight hour total drive but it's pretty awesome.
Congrats. You have a wrapped box.
I wasn't going to post this until I saw the operator's stamp on the bottom of the cabinet. Do you guys/gals want me to keep posting my pin pick-ups or are these same old, same old?
Another Aztec, this one had gotten lots of TLC. Came with original manual and schematics, Williams coin box with lid, backbox backdoor, a piece of thin plywood that goes over the playfield glass and some goodies for shopping the pin. The playfield is a 9+, the backglass typically poor as all Aztecs I have seen are, maybe a little bit better, and the cabinet is good.
I have been able to track this much of this machines history - it has been from Houston to New Mexico, to Phoenix and now to Tucson.
Aztec is the fastest EM I have played and that makes it worth owning. That and ripping the spinner for a thousand a crack is a rush!

If you enjoy posting, I enjoy looking..
Quoted from PinballManiac40:Congrats. You have a wrapped box.
You're close. It's a 1982 RCA front projection TV. The front part folds down to reveal a projector aimed towards the viewer at a mirror. That mirror puts the picture on what I think is a plastic reflective screen. I actually don't have anything to play on it at the moment but it's pretty awesome. 50 inch screen for cheap.
Not a pin but I wondered if anyone would recognize it.

That's crazy! That was my first thought , but thought nah also, they used one to play Mario bros on "halt and catch fire"

H.A. Franz is basically a distributor, who is still in business to this day in Houston. Cool find.

It was this or Sony coffee table projector. They were both around the same price and same place.
Left home at 8am. Arrived at 1st stop at 11:30am. Left at 1pm with one of my all time favorites
2nd stop. Another classic.
3rd and final stop. My first EM. Left at 4:30pm for home.
Finally back home at 9pm. Finished unloading by 10pm. Will setup tomorrow.

Indeed, it's a damn fast EM. I have my Aztec on the local Craigslist, gotta make room for fresh restores....& I'm more of a Bally / Gottlieb guy.

Post everything. In the words of Aerosmith (and I'm singing this terribly like Steven Tyler), "and I don't want to miss a thaaang."
