Quoted from PM_Jeremy:

After seeing another pinsider get one of these I researched the heck out of this machine (even purchased the pinball arcade version). I remember playing it on location back in the day but that was about it. Thanks to those who helped locate this nice example. It's fits nicely next to my JY (quirky & colorful).

Some people don't like it but I thinks it's a fun game.

JY, though, is a dog.

My next project followed me home last night.

Some pinballpimp stencils, cpr play field, nos backglass, a pile of other new parts and this one will be ready to play.

The playfield artwork is excellent. I love how the lane is at an angle.

Scored a pair of Bally's late last night. This make the 4th Centaur in six years. Why can't I find a Fathom??? The Kiss has a repainted cabinet but the nos playfield installed makes up for it.

I brought this home coincidentally on my birthday last Monday. This is the most I've paid for a
machine but it was fair, only an hour away, and I've been looking for one for awhile. I had to pull
the trigger.. The hobby didn't pay for this one. I'm going to have to sell a few machines..
It's a pretty nice original..

TWD is the new addition. My son has all the high scores...so far.

Congratulations on acquiring a very nice Genco Two Player Basketball. Did that one happen to come from Wisconsin? If so, send me a PM for the game's history, if you wish. The Genco game will fit in well with your EM line-up, no doubt.

The one in my collection is a keeper. Here's a photo of my son showing off his high score. It's among the most popular games in my collection of about 30 vintage pinball and arcade games. Happy birthday, by the way!

There was one in Wisconsin for sale?

Yes. It may still be available. It was restored by Bill Heatherly. Also, there's a decent unrestored one for sale in Ontario. PM me for details.

#3963 7 years ago

Thanks for the kindness. No, this Genco's an original. Wisconsin's may still be
for sale. It pretty much plays, but I'll be going through it all after the New Years..

Monopoly in the house. Such a fun game. I picked up a while ago and put in some
additions. I added side decals which look great on this game and tie in well.
Also ColorDMD, leds, new cards, rails, legs, bar, and a simple two piece topper! The ColorDMD
was well worth it for this title imo.
Finally got it in place. Its time to own it all!

The monopoly money pinblades look sweet! Color dmd is definitely nice touch on that game.

I'm continually amazed at the amount of people who describe this pin as their "grail" pin. For me, it was near the tops on my list, but I didn't realize it was my grail until after I owned it. I can't count the number of times I get goose bumps while playing this game and getting into the zone when all the shots seem to flow together!! To War!!!

For me, this is my first true love when it comes to meeting these criteria:

1. Theme
2. Playability/Replayability
3. Cabinet/Artwork
4. Sounds/Callouts

LOTR is #1 or in the top 3 in most of these categories. And since all my friends have this pin, it's been easy for me to develop my love for it.

Beautiful Bally Star Trek that I recently picked up just put a stop to my plans to restore another rough one that I have. I should be able to nearly cover the cost of this machine buy reselling my CPR Bally Star Trek Playfield and Plastic set. Finally good vintage machine that does not need a major restoration.

Here is what we got a few days ago, not a pinball but fits the look of the diner theme in the basement.

I've seen some of them for sale. Is it fun? The cab design is pretty awesome. I remember well when bowling alleys used to have projectors to manually write your scores.

Congratulations. Bowl-o-rama is a terrific acquisition. It's among the most popular coin-op games in my gameroom. The track ball allows for authentic spin, speed and direction control. The taunting animations, for splits, are well-conceived as are the animated accolades for strikes and spares. In my opinion, Namco's Bowl-o-rama is the most successful arcade rendition of bowling. Also, it includes separate trick shot and poker games. The music element is great as well. I am operating mine on its original hard drive, although I have the flash drive as a back-up. The game has security roadblocks designed to protect the proprietary software, impeding the flash drive conversion. All you need now are the spinning ash trays. Namco still sells them and other components for this 2006 arcade on its website (expensive, though). I also like the feature enabling the players to select their ball graphics and weight. Happy new year to fellow Pinsiders!

30 Year old "Laser War" in absolutely beautiful condition. Picked this up today 20 miles from my home!!!

#3980 7 years ago

The kids are having a great time with Bowl-O-Rama. I'm booting from a thumb drive, it seems to be working okay. I called Namco and they have solid state drives for $150, tempting. The music is fun and it's not as easy as you might think. Not sure I'll keep it forever but for now it is a good addition to the game room. The only issue I have is that the game has a slight wobble. I took a look on the bottom and there is a 4 inch nut holding things together. I'll have to go find a big freaking wrench at the plumbing supply house.

Brought home a Gottlieb Strikes N Spares to add to my other 12 games. It was not fun getting down a staircase that has 8 steps down and then 180 deg. turn and then another 8 steps. It is a fun game and I will have it in my collection for a long time.

No, its all stacked up in the garage. I needed room for poker and I also didn't like the lack of space when I hosted parties. Too cramped and the alley became a highway to quickly get from one side of the room to the other. The kids also stopped playing it. I thought about it for a while, but ended up deciding it wasn't worth having. Getting a smaller bowling game will also free up space for another 6-8 pins
