Was there a multiplayer Skyjump?
Quoted from Skyemont:Had a nice little pickup this morning.
Speakeasy
Eight Ball Deluxe
Creature from the Black Lagoon
Wow. Nice haul!
Quoted from dmbjunky:Was there a multiplayer Skyjump?
No, the reason the single-player games are more desirable is because it would have been literally impossible to make a multiplayer Sky Jump back then, or at least without adding 4 more units to the game. (Waaaay too expensive)
The reason is, is because the multiplayer games cannot hold "states" between balls. Everything need to be reset for the next player so they are built around objectives that need to be completed during that ball, every single one of them, even if there is only one player playing (of course, lol).
The single player games have longer, more diverse & and deeper objectives/rulesets that are continued throughout the entire game usually. Both are fun in their own way. Multiplayers are equally as hard and challenging because you only have 1 ball to do it (people like to discriminate against these a lot but I love them, plus COMPETITION!), while the single player games are hard because the challenge can be so diverse and long-winding.
Took forever to find the right one for a decent price and i was about to just bite the bullet and pay alot more than i did but then i found this beauty just in time.... 20161127_143414 (resized).jpg20161127_143517 (resized).jpg20161127_143740 (resized).jpg20161127_143422 (resized).jpg20161127_143340 (resized).jpg20161127_143503 (resized).jpg20161127_214539 (resized).jpg

It's always nice to hear a success story. I'm never patient enough to wait and usually end up overpaying! I have a SS also. Great game and funny callouts.
Quoted from Spock:I came home with nothing lol.
Did you go looking for something and the deal turned South?
Quoted from gorgar007:Brought home a pair! TAF is beautiful has a NOS playfield without a scratch. SS is minty but just a few scratches around the spider and skill shot holes.
Two of the best in one deal, I like your style!!! Way to go!!!!
I would be stuck in that room for wks!!

Was it restored? The cab looks amazing. It's a pretty fun game. I played it at Expo.

Yes it is gents. Great friggin game. Been on my wishlist for a while, and my buddy two miles away has one but won't let the damn thing go. Is yours restored? Looks very clean, and that game has great art and play all the way around (considering it's an older Stern). Shoot me a PM when you're done with it, I'll gladly take it off your hands.
Quoted from Colsond3:Get the ph**k out of here! 3 wishlist games in a month? Nuts. Driving for a pin late the night before Thanksgiving always makes the family happy (not really). But had to grab this one.
A little beat and dull when I finally set her up...
but after some serious cleaning, a little soldering, wax, new coin door inserts, new instruction cards, rubbers, new hardware and a ton of LED's...much better.

I'm almost more intrigued by the gollum statue/topper
Quoted from ibuypinballs:Haven't posted here in a couple of months. So here we go. In the last four months Addams Family, Baywatch ,Hurricane, LAH and book ends (2) HUO LOTR.
2 taf?? I want one. Don't make me beg

I already had an Addams prior to picking up the other. I hooked up a friend with the second one.

I need friends like you
Got a nice garage find for a steal over the weekend. Guy had bought a house and the original owner left it. It's already starting to clean up nicely but this is what it looked like when it came in. Took a razor blade and a lot of patience to get all the tape goo off the glass. Didn't come with legs, but I had a spare set.20161204_122450_resized (resized).jpg20161204_122440_resized (resized).jpg20161204_122430_resized (resized).jpg
This nice looking Street Fighter II followed me home last thursday. Bought it non-working from a friend's working place. Turned out to be a flaky 5v pot meter. It works now! Needs a good cleaning, some new rubbers, targets and a new shooter, but plays pretty good already. I must say: I like the gameplay much better than I thought I would. It's got a very high 'just 1 more game'-vibe to it. Let's see how challenging it is in the long run...
It doesn't come home until late December/mid-January, but it's 100% paid for with Trent at Tilt Amusements, so what the hell.
Time to return to the Carpathians for the final time. Bolting this one to the floor with AFM and TAF as its sister machines.
These three will be keepers. Others may come and go, but AFM, TAF, and BSD are safe.
CFTBL, SS, or Alien SE are next.
