I hope the sewer drainpipe with the WH20 in the photo never breaks, or it will bring new meaning to the concept with the games beside it.
The callout will become "Brown water!!!"

Agreed. I had a lot of the old pipes replaced with PVC a year ago with that in mind. I'm always looking for any signs of something rusting or showing wear.

Picked up a Strikes and Spares from my brother-in-law's father yesterday for $500. Gonna look great with my Skateball.

Nice!! That was my first solid state game. Great game.

Love the permit placard on the side of the F-14. Nostalgic.

#3706 7 years ago

I simultaneously love and hate this thread with equal measure.

I hate that it makes me so jealous to see all these bargain buys, the new and old machines being delivered to someone else's place and not mine.

I love this thread for the very same reasons; because I'm happy for all of you. This is one of my go to threads. It also gives me something to look forward to, a goal for when I eventually get my very own machine one day. Keep'em coming.

Number 42 is home!
Screened Cab. Playfield restored and cleared by Bill Davis.
Now for a little cleaning, adjust flips, replace all rings, slide in some PDI glass and then get that ColorDMD installed.

Nice MB. Who was the seller?

I just want to know if you left your wallet on a gas pump on the trip.

LOL! That was a long day! Almost 1400 miles. Leaving the wallet on the gas pump was epic! Thanks kcZ for selling me your TAF.

#3709 7 years ago

Yo, taxi!

Picked this up last Friday. Playfield stripped, cleaned, inserts leveled, and cleared already. Still have to sand and many do another layer or two of clear depending on how things go.

Ahhh....BF back where it belongs. Always great to bring home the same minty example when somebody decides they no longer want it, and they actually stay true to their word and make you the first phone call. Don't think this one is leaving again. Now, where the hell to put it....LOL

The King rock I picked up on the last page left today. An early birthday gift for my dad. He played King Kool in college and was pretty excited today when me and the boy surprised him.

Lol. I hear ya. I got tired of going over to change bulbs on the pioneer sitting beside of it that I gave him several years back. I never have to change the LEDs and he would prefer to just play instead of work on it. I do respect the opinion of incandescent bulbs though.

Yeah changing bulbs can be a pain in the butt.
If you did not put 455 flasher bulbs behind the "king rock" on the back glass, you should. That's what was in there originally, & it really looks good when the pin is in "attract" mode & they turn off once a game is started- I'm guessing to reduce glare on the play field?

Did you grab this from someone in Chicago? I went out and checked this machine out when it was for sale by the original owner. We shook on a deal as I didn't have help to carry it out of the basement, but I guess the seller found someone else right after me to take it. I remember seeing those homemade metal ramp flaps

I have the 455 in it. I keep those on hand since Earthshaker and whirlwind are my only real keeper games. They do set it off. He has put a ton of games on it already. It's a great game

Interesting. It's definitely the same machine I checked out from the original owner about 8 months ago. Same small wear spot near the bottom right and metal ramp flaps that the original owner created himself. Funny how fast/far these machines move in such a short amount of time!

Should have added GOT about 2 weeks ago but here she is. Translight signed by Steve plus a few other mods. Deep and super challenging game.

Also, showing my recently completed restore on my Big Betty's Truck Stop. Got this one last year in rough shape. Completely rebuilt ramp to looking new again. Removed all PF parts and polished, cleaned. Removed mylar. Rebuilt all 4 flippers. Repainted insert keylines, then added a playfield protector. Very simple plus fun game!
