I wish I'd taken some more obscured pictures of when we were uncrating them at the import dock so I could play some hardball on the guessing game, but stoked to finally get these all the way from Italy! Future Queen and Robot in the lineup.

Congrats on those two!!

Two awesome and not frequently seen titles...Robot looks like a nice example. Such a cool looking and colorful game, with fantastic art. I've been bugging a friend to sell me his for a few years.

Hey folks, just bought my first game today, and it's a game from my childhood that I had such fond memories of.

I used to literally play this every summer at a water park that we'd always visit every year when I was a kid. They had a barn that had Outrun, Addams Family, and High Speed in it. I now have one of two of those tables... but my wife won't be letting me try for the other any time soon!

Looking for advice on how to reset the high scores to something attainable by my family. It would seem that all I have to do is set the backup high scores and hit the high score reset switch, but this has done nothing for me. Anyone have any advice?

Awesome! I feel that High Speed is almost a perfect pinball machine.

Hold down the high score reset for a few seconds and see if that resets your scores. Like 3 seconds. You should hear a noise which confirms the reset.

Looking at the switch, there appears to be a wire not attached... thinking that's my problem. Anyone have a picture of what it's supposed to look like? I'm not sure where it became detached from :-/

Well after a long hunt I finally found a special game I have wanted to add to my collection for years and just finished fixing it up. I have been looking for unique arcade games with unique controls and this game fits the bill. Years ago I played the game at PHOF and I instantly fell in love with it. Certain games have that special feeling and never seem to get stale and this game has that magic feeling of fun and has you pushing the start button over and over again. It is a simple game in terms of graphics and presentation but it is a difficult game that challenges you with a precise knob control technique that keeps you on your toes while playing.

When I got the game and was trying to determine what to do for graphics-a light bulb went off in my head. I was staring at the game and had a great idea pop up. I thought to myself-if I am going to redo the cabinet decals-I might as well make them pop and do something custom. I was looking at the front bezel and saw the red, orange and green colored balloons sticking out brightly. I had an instant thought of-it would be cool to do colored balloons on side art to match the front bezel more and make it unique.

I ended up getting together with a great fellow pinsider who helped me design and make the custom art decals. He has helped me with multiple projects now and is a great guy who is very talented. I am very happy with the way it turned out and to me it really is a work of art and I will be proud to display it in my home. Really simple fun game that never seems to get old and I am super stoked to add it to the collection.

I remember that game. It's awesome. Bought it immediately when it came out on the atari 2600. That looks great btw.

Looks like it's there (to me anyway) just a different color orange?
CHris

Yes, it is there. It still has the original factory sticker on it, so either the color was different from the factory or it faded over time.

A little over 2 weeks after my last pickup…
IMG_2257.jpegIMG_2257.jpegIMG_2261.jpegIMG_2261.jpeg
Took a few days to get around to posting this as I recovered from the brutal move. This was Tuesday night, the 21st.
Seller didn’t get back to me till about 6 o’clock, so we got on the road and picked it up a few hours later. Played this in a tournament last year and absolutely loved it! System 11s are hit-or-miss for me, but this one is always fun to play! Really happy with it.

The stairs were a bear. Had the tiniest little landing with a 180° turn halfway up. All the floors AND stairs were hardwood, and the stairs had this ornate bullnose that stuck out 3 inches or so, and would have been destroyed by the dolly… our only way to move it was to pick it up and carry it up those mother truckin’ stairs! Definitely did a number on my back, and the blankets were a pain to avoid damaging the stairs. My idiotic helper also put a decent dent in the wall… the seller was incredibly forgiving, thank the Lord!

We were just down the road from another deal I have pending. Bought out an older gentleman’s collection and have been slowly picking it up as space is made. Only 2 more games left to pickup IMG_2264.jpegIMG_2264.jpeg

Got everything unloaded around 1am and called it a night.

The next day, we moved out Waterworld to a hotel arcade we have up north, it was HOT. Must have been over 100° in the box truck. We setup a new arcade in a hotel in Lake George, swapped some cranes and bulk racks at some resturant locations we have, and picked up one of my vending machines from a location. IMG_2292.jpegIMG_2292.jpegIMG_2295.jpegIMG_2295.jpeg Candid photo of Mister Wow! FEC himself playing Waterworld.

Unfortunately, it seems that with moving from cold-hot-cold the tempered backglass of Waterworld wasn’t long for this world. About 90 seconds after that photo was taken, the backglass popped. NEVER had one break on me before, but it literally sounded like a balloon popping and exploded into a big rice crispy snap-crackle-pop pile all over the machine and on the floor. It was pretty crazy. I will definitely be removing them for transport from now on, if it’s hot outside.

Now the arcade has a new pin, and a new crane next to it. That was a ton of moving and I’m whooped for the week!!

Just set up a few from my frenzied couple weeks of retirement “presents”. Have a few others that are going in my house but this is my Pinball Barn.

-For Always Sunny fans, you might recognize Lethal Weapon 7 (5&6 also represented in cabinet Art).

-Freshly stencil OG Future Spa with all incandescents…plays fast for widebody. Max steepness with 1x4 underneath back legs

-Really clean original Medusa! Couldn’t stop playing today, really has that “just one more game appeal”

Chris

It is a retheme and a hilarious spoof of the LW Franchise. Episodes with LW 6 & 7 were banned/Taken down from hulu but you can watch LW5 on youtube. The entire premise of Always is a gang of lovable deplorable characters that push the boundaries for sure.

My 20 something boys got me into it and begged for me to buy the game. Its one of a kind cabinet art and the playfield is in great shape but some of the characters let’s say looked like a Mel Gibson & Danny Glover manchild.

thanks for the tip! They are brand new legs from the po who did the cabinet and are actually gun metal grey ( lighting makes them look black)

Can’t believe someone murdered a Deadly Weapon

At least they did a damn good job, what an obscure reference! Is there a thread about the retheme?

Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:

No thread about but Captn Retro did it ( he’s been around scene forever in Atlanta). The cabinet was in bad shape and Deadly Weapon is a fun game but never will be very collectible so I appreciated the risk taking and the graphics look amazing. Never heard the term murdering but don’t think he killed the game…actually breathed new and unique life into it.

Always isn't as obscure as one would think, although the banned episodes might be. It’s the longest running live action american sitcom and longest running on cable. *My son told me this checked because I didn't believe

Anyway, Unless someone involved with show threw a bunch of money at me, will keep for them…along with IMDN which I promised never to sell.

Didn’t show my Secret Service as it is still in packaging but will fit in nicely next to Laser War(Data East pins #1 and #2)

Anyone have a Torpedo Alley so I can complete the first 3 and corner the market in cheesy/campy Backglasses?

Planes trains and automobiles brought me to Chicago on a flight to pick up a Ford Bronco and drive back to Nashville. Had just enough room to get this beast in.

Any ideas what’s behind the glass?
