Quoted from egyptrus:

No deal is ALWAYS better than a bad deal. While it stinks to have to walk away with nothing, you'll feel better about yourself knowing you didn't get taken by this knucklehead.

That was my thought as well. The guy just marked the machine as sold so someone else's problem now. I need to finish my hardtop install in my firepower anyway before I get distracted by another project.

I have been housing this Space Station for a fellow collector for about a year and he decided to part ways with it last month. After some personal changes it made its way from my garage / work area and into the basement arcade next to Space Shuttle where it will remain for many years to come! They pair like fine wine & cheese.

Brought home this gorgeous early-production Twilight Zone yesterday. Manufacture date of April 19, 1993. Pictures really don't do it justice - it's almost suspiciously clean. Has the green lock insert, posts/rubbers in the pop garden, sticker over the spiral loop plastic, white clock face, and even still had a P-3 ROM in it. Doesn't have the green rockets or third magnet. Came with the Color LCD and Cointaker LEDs too. My first "not NiB" truly plug-and-play game. I did quickly switch to the 9.4H ROM, but that took all of 5 minutes so... I'm still calling it plug and play

Really excited to have this - TZ is a dream game of mine!

Brought home a Doodle Bug. It was free and I had it running in about one hour.

Nice! Someone sent that to me on Friday and I considered it. Glad a Pinsider got it!

Last weeks haul: a 1934 Daval American Beauty.

One of the first EMs, with quite a lot of historical significance:
- first plumb bob tilt
- first tilt mechanism that automatically shuts down the game
- first machine that automatically counts the amount of balls played
- first electromechanical ball kicker that fires the ball up the playfield
- (one of the) first machine(s) that automatically counts your score

Definitely to be restored, but the important stuff is there and working!

Beautiful, congrats! Always amazed at the intricate casting work on these games. Imagine the difficulty in making those parts today yet back then it seemed like they were only limited by their creativity.

Quoted from Foxxstone_80:

"great shape" and HUO were the descriptions.

I have noticed a ton of people mis-using the term HUO in the last year or two. Often times they are newbies or non pinheads but it is starting to become the joke using HUO terminology.
The best is when they claim HUO and the coin slots are worn to shit from coin drop. Good job walking away-I would have given him a good piece of my mind before leaving for exaggerating condition.

Not disagreeing in the least bit, but I do coin drop at home.

1. Earning is free game is more fun when they aren’t all free.
2. It’s nostalgic
3. My kids have to earn quarters from me sometimes

Thread hi-jacking done.

Yup. Now the game is easily beaten by trapping the ball on the flipper as the doodle bug is doodling. No challenge that way.

Even if you do coin drop at home you will never see the coin slot wear you see from a well routed machine. It takes thousands of plays to get the coin wear seen on many machines. Guys really need to come up with better terminology when selling a routed turd. HUO for the last 10 years does not count fyi. -Machine is in good shape for it's age but does have some cabinet planking may have been a more appropriate description?

Yep. Definetely had been on location at one point in its life. It really wasn't a desirable title for me, but the price was decent....or at least I thought until I saw the condition and started mentally adding up how much I'd have to put into it. Oh well. Lesson learned. Ask for better pictures next time.

Just got another “free” game unexpectedly!
There really wasn’t enough space to fit, but it’ll be a cold day in hell before I turn down a pinball!

Got me a double dose of Danesi this week!

TNA is from the original run, feels great to get it back and check out the new code after stupidly selling mine 5 years ago.

Now if you’ll excuse me I have to get back to getting punched in the dick repeatedly

Starting a small playfield collection for my game room.
The Dr who is in rough condition, and I had to cut away some water damage. I think it will still look good on the wall.
Now just to find a Judge Dredd playfield for a good price.

Check out this beauty I just added to my games room.

It's basically Joust, but with a better theme.

Nice, you're welcome. It's genuinely a lot of fun. And a BIT cheaper than Joust.

Quoted from Taygeta:

Illinois is a long way from Florida. A Fish Tales would get me up there for a weekend. Or Bad Cats if you’re pretty

I don’t know for certain, if it was redone it looks close enough to the original for me

Took delivery of a Pinbot and Hook today. They both need quite a lot of work but picked them up for a reasonable price relative to the work. Looking forward to getting these up and running!

#27889 3 months ago

Here's the funny part. Most of the coins were in a box that had a date on it in Oct 2023. The machine as been out of order for a long time. Someone must have gathered up the coins, put them in a box, and locked the cabinet. There is no way that is the take from just a month ago— the machine is inoperable.

This was the second pinball machine I owned. Had it for about 2 years. It's a very unique and fun game. It's known for having a bad sound track but I never minded the sounds. I put comet fire bulbs under the lava in the center insert, made it had a really sweet effect. I would definitely buy this one again.

I thought the sounds were kinda cool, especially when it does the jingle at the end of each ball with a different instrument/sample lol.

Most bitter sweet pick up today.

Even though Sinbad was not on my wishlist, when my late friend's became available I felt like I should try to give it a good home around my other machines that he kept in tip top shape.

RIP J of JT Amusements you will be missed and set a bunch of high scores in that big arcade in the sky.
