Quoted from Its_me_aj:

He then calls back and dais to just go to his property and it's sitting in a airplane hanger/barn thing, load it up and enjoy. No one in sight, no one home, nothing. I felt kinda awkward loading it up and taking it home without talking to the owner in person.

That sounds like my weirdest experience. I told the guy I wanted the game sight unseen - he said to come look at it before paying him. Went to go pick it up and while driving there - they guy calls and says he's not going to be home - but the game is in his basement. Just open the bulkhead doors and load it up out of the basement. If you decide to take it - just paypal me the money. I remember thinking "Geeze I hope I don't accidently go to the wrong house..."

Anyway - I went there, opened the bulkhead doors and the game was at the bottom of the steps - no one in sight. I took the backbox off and pulled the machine out of the basement and loaded it up (also into my CR-V) - and was just thinking the whole time - "this is so weird, I hope his neighbors don't call the police... this will be hard to explain!"

Very nice Mr & Mrs Pac-Man. Fantastic back glass and play field! Nothing like being the first person to ever service a set of original boards. The displays were even original. Was stored in a finished climate controlled basement for the past 25 years. Gonna fix it's few issues and send her on her way.

Looks like the one that was listed on Dayton CL for $350...

The Tardis landed in my garage today! My first pin, Doctor Who, was delivered and it is already getting some good use. My oldest (hes 6) was so excited and had to play first. He could hardly wait for me to run through checking everything over before I turned it on. But after some quick system checks he scored a good 17 million on his first game. After about 5 rounds I was even able to get on the high score list!

Not perfect by any means - but surely could be a helluva lot worse.

Got these from Ramtuathal.

He is a great guy and I was happy to meet my first Pinsider in person. These pins were clean and obviously a lot of TLC had been given to both. What a pleasant surprise to find two project pins that had been so well cared for!

For sale: Honey (Williams, 1972)

I really like Gordon Morrison's art on this one , He was a real master of fun and movement , and he always seems to fill the whole BG with detail .
Game looks right at home with the western theme you have ...

Prototype Transporter: The Rescue.
A test unused game model bought and sent home directly from the factory floor.
Serial Number #11, x series, all boards and parts match.
Documented HUO in private ownership for 27 years.
No cabinet fade.
Rare game anyway, and unheard of in this condition.
The playfield provides an easy assessment of the entire game, particularly the transporter ramp that is crystal clear, and a dust free lower cabinet interior.

Another nice pickup. Do we need to start calling you the O-din of AZ? Glad these em's are goin to a good home!

Thanks Spitfiren8! As long as I can get these project pins at project pin prices and I still enjoy restoring them I'll be bringing them home. But they are going to have to go into the living room. 13-14 is the max for the family room and it's a maze to walk through!

I knew instantly when I saw how clean they were that I would be taking both. I'll probably be buying a backglass for Honey, used or BGResto. The cabinet is nice and the front door is about as scuff free as you'll ever see for a machine in the wild. After a little playfield touch-up Honey deserves a backglass.

I've only played a few 2" flipper games, Fireball, Hot Line and Ding Dong so it should be interesting to see how well I like them on Moulin Rouge. Who knows, If I do like the 2" flippers I might start collecting games from the 60s. They are getting harder to find though - I think O-din got most of them!

Nice pickup gorilla. And I have those same three games.
That playfield is awesome.

#2632 7 years ago

Been lurking on this site for a while but finally decided to make an account. I just picked up this JP on Friday and I'm really excited to shop it, mod it, the works. It's overall in nice condition, but the playfield is really dirty. It was already really late when I got home (like 2am) but I wanted to see what I could do with a little Novus 2. As you can see, it will clean up rather nicely.

Strange.
I came across a home use only Genie back in the early 2000's.
It was in incredible condition just like that one.
Hated to sell it but the game play was not our cup of tea at the time.
I would love to have it back now though.
Congrats on the find.

#2639 7 years ago

On route for 13 years, very dirty, lots of problems, but really good price on a TSPP. Before I broke out the vacuum and novus 2 I wasn't sure if it would clean up well but now I'm not worried.
