Talk about derailing a thread!
Brought home what’s gonna be the greatest fighter I’ve ever put myself up to restoring. Wore a mask on the drive home, for sure!

Yes!!!! This one is gonna come back stronger than ever! Excellent find. Maybe hit that one with a hose on the bottom.. lol

It's okay, we're back on track again with some excellent pickups.

All the parts look to be there. You are golden.
I have seen worse play fields. This one will clean up. Make a play field protector if the inserts are cupped.
With $60-$70 of super glue you can make that planked cabinet new again. Pinball Pimp sells the Ali stencils. And the cab floor can be replaced without too much effort.
A little bit of carpentry work will clean the back box up.
Dirty parts are dirty parts. They all clean up.
BG Resto has your back glass.
Sweat equity, my man. Sweat Equity
Nice score.

What's this super glue trick? Use it as a filler vs sanding down?
Quoted from PNBLWZD:I don’t usually post coming home pics but this one is kinda special [quoted image][quoted image]
Fantastic game! Can't be many of those left in boxes still? Hope you intend to play her?

Probably more information than you were looking for, but here it is.

I'll add this: I used the super glue and I used the wood hardener. The wood hardener is much cheaper, but I like the super glue action better. But either will work.
If you are left with questions, send me a PM.
Thanks.
Quoted from Apinjunkie:All the hype is true, it's a great game. And the Le package is a thing of beauty. Enjoy!
Thanks, super excited to finally get one!

They pop up once in a while NIB but not often. This one won’t remain in the box for long!

Great link. I'd never heard of that one. Time to fall down the rabbit hole..
Quoted from DK:I’ll post pics in the next couple of days

Ooo, looking forward to seeing that one. Nice scoop!
Quoted from freddy:I’d say radical is hardest to find!
They have both been for sale in the pinside market 34 times each. I still say Transporter is a bit tougher to track down.
Quoted from balzofsteel:Sweet. There's a 948 out of a MKI Sprite lying around here somewhere so it looked familiar. (except for your massive oversized clutch)
wouldn’t call anything about the 1098 massive when there’s a Viper V10 right next to it
Quoted from Ballypin:Yep, that is the arm of a Ref. NFL is FUCKING RIGGED.
ROTF. LAMO !!!!!! Your team lost, I'm guessing. Ha Ha Ha He He. Come back for more in 2024
I have never watched a Super Bowl in my life. I am a disinterested observer.

You're not missing much. The commercials aren't even all that great anymore.

Who made the alternate translite, never seen that one before.
Quoted from koji:He was pretty clean despite himself.. But I will need to swap out some leds.. The colored leds in the gi aren't doing it for me. Not sure about the white either.. Maybe warmer.
Anyway, brought home today. Time to find some hot dogs and clean the streets.

Awesome pickup! One of my favourite Williams games.

Thank you, glad to hear it. Hard to know how much you'll like a game until owning it I find. I like that the buildings and HQ you go into etc, have a real diorama aspect which many pinballs aspire to, but this one seems really well done.

I think DH is a really fun game as well. We've had it 4 years and still have not gotten to crime wave. My skills at playing are partly to blame, but it is challenging to finish all the modes. Hope you enjoy it as well
Well it wasn't today, but yesterday was a pinball day.
Sold my Future Spa and delivered it to a client in the morning. Their game room is on the second floor of their house. Thank goodness that I had my Escalera as it always makes moving a pin up and down stairs easy.
Also got a non-working Lost World in trade on the Future Spa, so it was deliver Future Spa upstairs and take Lost World down.
In the afternoon I went and viewed/purchased a RoboCop. Got it for a really reasonable price. Needs a shop job along with minor repairs, but very pleased with it and will be a good addition to the game room.
Was a long day, but always fun when you acquire new machines.
Quoted from Mikespinball:Also got a non-working Lost World in trade on the Future Spa
Hopefully you reminded the new Future Spa owner that the Lost World backglass did not fare too well next to the pop-a-shot.
Quoted from DiabloRush:Something right in the world when these two games are next to each other in the collection. [quoted image][quoted image]
100% agree

Playfield has really bad touch ups.
Cabinet has really bad fade.
At least CPR has the playfield out now.
Also picked up a Big Game, with a spare partially populated playfield.
Plus a board and spinners.
No pics yet, in transit.

Really bad Cabinet wear.
Some playfield issues as well.
Well routed game.
I offered on it, he said no.

Unlike the one you sold me Dan. Nicest Ripleys I have seen.

I know it's not pinball, but wow am I thrilled about this. Bought new in the early 80's and basically sat unused for 40 years. Has under 100 plays, minty fresh, no issues. It's the rare 4 player cocktail table with the factory riser.

What!?!? No pictures of it installed in the arcade after hoofing that beast up quite a few stairs? Fun play, and that game is in awesome shape. Congrats!

Ok, here they are
20230217_164445 (resized).jpg20230217_164456 (resized).jpgThat brings back memories. We used to bring a butter knife from the college cafeteria and use it to bridge the “run” buttons with your middle finger as a pivot. We could wail on those babies for serious high scores and World Records.
Well twice in one week! Another pinball day, drove to Bend Oregon from Eugene Oregon which is about 3 hours one way. Picked this one up for an amazing price. Was advertised on Craigslist and I happen to be caller one, so was my lucky day as the seller stated once I arrived that they got a number of calls on this one, but honored their asking price we agreed on.
Has a few issues, but appeares to be minimal and shouldn't take much to get it playing.
