picked up this Blackout today from a friend who's owned it since 1986 when his dad bought it for him as a graduation present from a local bar that was closing down. it's been sitting in the corner of his garage like this for a long, long time and he finally admitted to himself that he wasn't going to get around to setting it back up properly, much less doing the work to get it functioning again. fortunately he stored it without batteries and the CPU board looks clean and undamaged. the rest of the machine has some wear but nothing too bad (the inserts are virtually un-cupped!) except the backglass has some damage from poor storage.
after the pickup i spent the day at the first planning meet for the NW Pinball and Arcade Show and then catching up with a friend i haven't seen in more than three years, so i haven't even unloaded it yet, much less gotten better pics. gonna need to break out the shop vac just to get all the spiders out.
