I can fix that up!
Too bad, my buddy Darrin was just in Kansas on some crazy road trip and I'm not in a particular hurry.
I have various projects to push out door myself.

Darrin should have swung by here and picked up a whole trailer full of cocktail pins. Lol

Quoted from KSUWildcatFan:

Too bad you're so far away, I'd almost consider letting loose of my "extra" Galaxy playfield (although I bounce around between wanting to put it back together in my own universal build and gutting it for parts for Quicksilver). CT is a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong ways from Kansas!
Realistically I want to do my frankenbuild but I'm kind of hitting a point of "well, maybe not" because it was supposed to be for my barn-found Stars playfield...and I guess I have a full Stars game coming in the next few months. So then there could be Galaxy I guess (which would allow me to sell my full game..I guess?)... Eh. Funny how if you wait around long enough, some of your projects end up nixing themselves.[quoted image]

That game is way too hard with only one flipper.

This beater was dropped off at my place today. Not mine. Someone in my town is asking and looking to get this going. I’ll see what I can do, whew, might be a tough one.

Step 2 ... make it stronger, faster, and better than it was ...
Factor in appreciation-
$6,000,000 in 1973 is worth $40,107,702.70 today.

Is this a pinball person that dropped it off? Or someone newly interested in spending money on a beater just to get into the hobby?

picked up this Blackout today from a friend who's owned it since 1986 when his dad bought it for him as a graduation present from a local bar that was closing down. it's been sitting in the corner of his garage like this for a long, long time and he finally admitted to himself that he wasn't going to get around to setting it back up properly, much less doing the work to get it functioning again. fortunately he stored it without batteries and the CPU board looks clean and undamaged. the rest of the machine has some wear but nothing too bad (the inserts are virtually un-cupped!) except the backglass has some damage from poor storage.

after the pickup i spent the day at the first planning meet for the NW Pinball and Arcade Show and then catching up with a friend i haven't seen in more than three years, so i haven't even unloaded it yet, much less gotten better pics. gonna need to break out the shop vac just to get all the spiders out.

They bought three of them 30 years ago, and have been in a garage since.

They don’t want to spend more than they’re worth to get them going. I guess I cross my fingers and see if they’ll go?

I’ll go to the pinwiki and get a couple pointers for turning up a SS pin that’s been in storage.

If the MPU has the battery on-board (most likely) it's probably toast. $200 for an Alltek (or $170 for Weebly) and it'll probably fire up. It looks dusty but unless something got in and chewed the loom apart (obviously check this, along with testing voltages, etc), it's probably not as bad as it might seem. I've cleaned up worse.

Yeah. I gave them a heads up a board would probably be in the future. But ya never know??!

Well, we had the Rams beat except the NFL wanted LA to win, so a few bullshit penalties gave them a go ahead score and the ring. Where are those great Rams this year ?

Bring on the 49's and we'll break the curse. The Bengals get no respect and that gives them the edge to play great.

#25787 1 year ago

Ha, Rams. Bengals and Eagles definitely look like the best teams left. My chiefs have no defense and a dead QB. Thanks Jacksonville for the latter.

Oh well, I guess the Bengals deserve to join the big boy table eventually.

Wasn’t lucky enough to bring the whole game home, but did pickup this prize we won in a charity raffle. Signed by Borg and the artist. Will be framing with a backlight and hanging in the game room.

Left after work yesterday didn’t get home until a little after midnight so I guess we can call it today. I have been trying for years to buy this title from my wife’s friend and they would never sell. This one popped up yesterday so I grabbed it up. Now I can leave her friend alone on theirs.
