Quoted from ModCity:

A Christmas gift for my brother, who has been my tech savior with my machines for 12 years now. He needed and deserved his own machine. System 11 games are so sweet. Eight hour round trip, 100% worth it. [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Congrats - great looking Taxi!! And even bigger congrats on making it a gift - nicely done! I'm sure your brother will be stoked!

Can’t beat it when you leave after breakfast and you’re home before lunch. I like those kind of pick ups.

After getting the other one going I figured “let’s try another EM”. Needs some work to get working right but should turn out nice.

Have a coworker who has been over a few times with his daughters to play pinball and they all really gravitated towards Batman. They’ll all be home for the holidays this year, so I offered to let them borrow it for a few months. Gonna be a surprise for them, which is pretty cool. Sharing feels nice!

Moving it into their basement was a bit weird but we were able to use his tractor and a forklift attachment to make easy work of it. Overkill? Probably.

Can’t say I ever expected to be watching this machine get carried down a hill on the front of a fork tractor, but here we are. Went super smooth and they’re all set for the “surprise” next week!

After picking up my first EM project last month, I didn't expect to find myself posting in this topic again so soon. I finally completed a trade 6 months in the making today! A fellow Pinsider and I had kept in touch since originally touching base in May and the stars finally aligned this week to get the deal done.

Traded my one-owner HUO 450-play Black Knight Sword of Rage Premium for a one-owner HUO 400-play Mandalorian Premium (with animated Grogu and other mods). I loved my BKSoR and am sorry to see it go (and its difficulty made me a better player), but it was never a hit with the family. And one of my family's favorite shows is The Mandalorian, hence the reason I've been trying to figure out a way financially to acquire one for almost a year.

How does my family like it? They've been playing it non-stop since I set it up 3 hours ago. They've already logged more time on it tonight vs. the entire 3 years we've had BKSoR. Getting my wife and family involved in my hobby (obsession) makes the trade more than worth it.

Sounds like a winning move to me ... although with Mando now bolted to the floor, it'll be hard choice which of your restored beauties to rotate out to make room for the next acquisition.

Great game. Bronco was the first pinball I bought. 12 years ago. My son was 3, I would sit him on a stool and he got a real kick out of knocking the horses down. Wish I still.had it.

Made a 14 hour drive to Seattle and back to buy this flawless Rush LE + mods. Was also able to visit my brother in Renton while I was in town. The game is a lot of fun so far! Definitely needs a Pinwoofer system. Today, I’m going to install the red Ferrari w/bridge mod and PinMonk insert lenses. Will probably hunt for a Zeppelin LE next. Pinball and rock/metal just go so well together!

One of my favorite Pinside threads...
Used pins getting new homes and a new lease in life ... the pictures of people's trips to aquire and the pride of ownership in the faces of those getting a new to them pin .

Keep it up folks !

Reminds me the time the Seller and I eat pizza and drank beer on a Space Walk's
glass while it was presently at $10,000 on ebay. She went for $15,000 (and scratch
free to my knowledge)..

Ok, who got this one? I messaged the seller 30min after the ad was posted but someone was already there loading it up. Seller was pretty floored when I told her what they usually go for.

What do these go for, out of curiosity, as I want to know how bad they felt after you told them...

I told her 2500 would have been a fair asking price...pinside estimate is 2400-2800. Yeah she was pretty bummed. This wasn't a machine I normally would go after but for the price I would've loved to take it home, oh well. About the 3rd time this year I missed out on a super low priced machine...I need to change my alert settings or something.

It was 3 hrs from me so I figured by the time I got there someone would have messaged the seller and told them they were selling too low. But really for the price, and if you have room why not.

Oh well, one day it will be my turn to buy a machine drastically underpriced

First time I used it and brought it up pretty much 1 handed. Hardest part is getting it on the platform because it's raised but wasn't hard. You need a little more room to turn around than an escalera because of the tracks and platform.

Thanks, do you have a link to where to get? I'm sure I saw some posts on them on pinside, but no idea where, nor what they are actually called to search.

I bought mine on ebay.I made an offer back and forth and I saved a little off the asking if I remember correctly I paid just under $1300

It does fold up nice and small if it didn't fit there it was going in the front seat. It's definitely not as sturdy as an escalera but for the occasional use I'll get with it I'm super happy with it. My friend also has one so I saw it in action before purchasing.
