Quoted from dmbjunky:

What kind of shape is the Car Hop? I've never played one but it looks cool.

Car Hop is a fun, low production, game from the GTB Streetline Series. One of the unusual features allows for scoring and game sounds to be selected for PAST or PRESENT at start-up. There are five Car Hop games within 15 miles of me that I have located for my "car buddies". A very cool addition to any gearhead's garage! Difficult to locate, but easy to sell! (to car guys). John Dayhuff is a good guy and honest seller, so buy from him with confidence.

Hey Snyper, did you buys Mark's Fathom?

#2408 7 years ago

May not be a full machine, but worth mentioning.

Latest backglass addition added to my "backglass closet" collection (I ran out of wall space years ago), complements of Pin-A-Go-Go.
An ORIGINAL 1973 Bally Circus (backglass artwork was better than the game).
No veining, cracking, or peeling and is completely unfaded.

Bought "el cheapo" for less than a Ben Franklin.

Not bad for a 43 year old glass, and a testament to the Bally ink screening process and heat treatment curing in the 1960-70s.
Gold nuggets are still out there you just have to hunt for them.

Nope, I found one to fix up. Besides, Mark lives 30 mins from me, not 6 hrs.

Now that is interesting... Some years ago when I parted a Bally Circus out I sold the pristine BG to a guy up north...Lodi I think. Wonder if it made its way to you some how.??

Anything is possible.
This was buried in Rick's piles of used poor condition backglasses at his BAA booth, so this was probably not the same game.
I was sorting through mostly "window pane" and very badly flaking and cracked back glasses, and this one was laying on the bottom.
It literally had about 1 1/2 feet of tempered and plate glass on top of it in one pile.
I looked at Rick, and Rick looked at me.
Here is are some $20s, Rick, let me take this off your hands.
He says, "no problem".
End of story, as I rushed with the sandwiched glass between bubble wrap and cardboard to my car to put into one of my backglass shipping boxes that I carry around when I go to shows.

The artwork on Atari pins is incredible. The art was done by George Opperman who also designed the Atari logo as well as tons of art for Atari arcade games and 2600 boxes/cartridges. A true master of art and graphic design who sadly died of cancer in 1985 rather suddenly.

I found a great picture of George Opperman working on the backglass art for Airborne Avenger (he is in the center).

Sweet....nice grab even in that condition for $85. I had a Strato-Flite before. Awesome game. For some reason, I want to own another one just to have the blue star pop bumper caps. No idea why Williams didn't use those pop caps on more games than they did. Had a Triple Strike before also and at least it had one of those caps on it's sole pop. Good luck with the resto!

Great game...I've seen these all over the place lately. Looks like it's in nice condition. If you come across another, let me know. I need an MPU for my Superman. LOL.

Speaking of Atari...for a minor sidebar...for those who haven't seen it you have to watch Atari: Game Over. Saw it a few months ago, and it is absolutely nuts.

Quoted from Pecos:

Williams 1970 Strike Zone:

Thought this game was fun at Allentown, awesome color scheme you don't see too often that's definitely 70's. Love the light peach color on the backglass, I've like never seen that used before. Something about all of the art (and reels fitting in like perfectly) is just very cool to me, hope to pick one up someday.

I really liked how when you rollover a pin it lights on the backglass, very awesome feature that reminds me of the AMF "pindication" system used in old-time bowling facilities.

streamlane21pair_(resized).jpgstreamlane21pair_(resized).jpg
pindication_pair_(resized).jpgpindication_pair_(resized).jpg

Also a sucker for bowling machines after working with my dad at his short span at a bowling alley, he didn't like it and quit but I'm putting in my application in a few months after June when I'm ready and don't have other obligations. A nice mix of solid-state and mechanics, and also EM traits, just how I like it! The 9-pin has a switch on it's holder to tell the machine it's done cycling, reminds me of 0-position contacts/switches on pinball units and reels.

So far dealing with Kevin has been awesome. I look forward to adding the JM to my collection today.

I am also picking up a HUO but cabinet scratched Monopoly today on the cheap. Photos once I get it. My Frankenstein with DMD Extender is leaving for a new home today as well. Pinsider in Columbus is picking it up and another local Pinsider may be stopping to buy my Ms. Pacman multicade and a CL guy and Injust finished a deal for him to buy my Turbo Outrun (heavier than a pin!!!)

It is a crazy gaming day

A friend had a Strike Zone. It was very frustrating to play. Lighting all of the roll overs and getting the Strikes, and lets not forget that tricky Up Post. The down post button is just above the post. The back glass action is kind of neat. I've only seen 6 threads on Pinside regarding Strike Zone.
