Not a joke! Maybe a joke for the people laughing at it. I’m pretty sure it was a joke at someone’s expense. Not funny to the one taking the brunt of it. Sorry if I’m wrong and there is a joke of some sort that I am unaware of

Cool! Where did you purchase it from? This might also look great on a Congo machine too.

It came with the game. My understanding was that it was home made.

Weird Al came…
nothing?
really?

Since you are missing the point he took your weird Al came message as weird Al “came”aka climaxed and made a joke about correcting you. No joke at anyones expense. Just some crude humor.

Carry on…

picked up a working gottlieb drop a card. backglass is near mint, playfield is dirty with one broken plastic.

has one of the old local operators sticker on it from the 1970s. so would of been a good chance playing this actual game back in the day.

I really hope my pinsider brother isn’t checking this thread because we’re comically low on space.

I couldn’t help myself. Great Craigslist score this morning. I was the first to respond around 7am, less than 10 min after it went up. The sellers were super nice to accommodate me working today and then driving 90 min deep into the Texas hill country. I was super up-front that they were going to get inundated. They laughed at how right I was by the time I got there late in the day. This game has been on my wishlist for ages and, jeez, I got lucky on the condition of this particular one. To do right by the sellers, I (unprompted) paid a lot over their listing price, as a thank you and to be fair to its value. They were blown away and said “are you sure?!” I didn’t bid it up in advance of arriving, but I found out *after* I paid that others tried. I feel very happy with this pick up, and I made some honest folks day too. Win-win! Good karma!

It’s got some typical hacks to the rectifier board and MPU, no big deal to either. The worst is someone drilled a bunch of holes in the bottom for some reason. Really though, super nice! I forgot to take a pic of the backglass illumination lamp board— it looks bright white brand spanking new. I’ll need to move some things around before I can set it up this weekend.

Looks like you have a dream pickup - nice sunny day, not too far to travel, great sellers and better than expected condition pin on your wish list that should be easy to bring back to life, and a little bit of Karma that made you happy and them happy. What more can you want in this hobby?

Done thumping Simpson's with repair hammer; cab cleaned, repaired and touched up. Fabricated air ball deflector and art for missing center plastic, tossed out 85% of the generic leds, clown puke leds and incandescents, tweaked the drop mechs and stand ups, repaired the display, new shooter bushing, etc. Great game, asskicking and entertaining.

Edit: All the GI is Comet Retro warm white frosted dome (one (dimmed) 2835 diode) and look great.

Anyone with a sub 6k Stern Trek Pro for sale? Last one on the long term trial list.

This was definitely the easiest pickup yet. My new neighbors moved in a few months ago. Noticed a High Speed being offloaded into their garage. Struck up a conversation last week about it. $1500 later i wheeled it out of their garage and into mine. Very generous to say the least. Cleaned it up and played the crap out of it last night. Classic Ritchie !!

Thanks for the heads up!

The house next door to me is currently for sale, as well as the one across the street.

I will need to keep an eye out when the new owners move in.

Quoted from gdonovan:

The last two or three DE I'm interested in picking up is Star Wars, Simpsons and maybe Batman and not to sure on that one.

Accomplishment unlocked last weekend! Star Wars slipped in on the last week of 2020 and Batman and Simpson's showed up this year. The only other DE I might be interested in giving a try is Tommy or Tales from the Crypt. 17 Data East pins have passed through with 12 making the cut.

2019 caravan. Barely fit through the side door, but took it out through the rear after unloading the other one no problem with side doors open.

We used to make fun of minivans when we were kids/teens - now I'm entertaining the idea of picking one up cheap just to have a covered means of hauling pins around!

Also - small world to see someone in Mackinaw. I went to Dee-Mack Jr high in the mid-00s!

That was going to be my other technique for loading. Going through the tailgate and then turning sideways. The pivot maneuver worked better than straight in through the sliding door?

560km to pickup a Jokerz, playfield looked to be in great condition and everything is working as well. I'm more than happy.

Haha, weren't intended to make this a car thread. I've had three Citroën's and sure they are comfy but every one had too much electric problems and all three has been eating steering joints as crazy. Tired of them. Nissan Navara felt comfy and today's 560km trip confirmed it.

Now I just need to get the game room renovation done so I have somewhere to put the games.
