Quoted from PinballGalore:2 days after picking up TOM, we were back at the sellers house to bring IJ to its new home. Exceptional original playfield 8.5/10, all original with no mods either, still incandescent all round. Cabinet is a 5/10. Back box too. those will need addressing for both fade and water damage to the wood (back panel of backbox, And the front of the cabinet “floor”). Plastics are in great shape and maybe 3-4 need replacement. Clears are clear and not yellow tinted. What a week. Makes the jjp reveal out of the question for me.

I was so confused for a second. I was like “JJP is remaking The Shadow?” Haha
After a duh moment I realized you’re talking about Toy Story. Is that confirmed or still a rumor?

LOL I had exactly the same thought when I first read that post
Quoted from DuffysArcade:My wife would love a Toy Story pin, but is it really gonna cost the equivalent of a TOM and an IJ combined???
Holy crap these NIB prices are out of control!
Even if TS is amazing, I worry I'll regret selling IJ, LOTR, WCS, or a combination or the three later. I sold my TZ and TOTAN 10 years ago and still regret it. That's why I'm close to starting my TOTAN scratch build.
A TOTAN scratch build?? Now that's a project I could join you for! I have been pondering doing a scratch build of one of my grail games (after I finish a few current projects). Either CC, TOM, or TOTAN. The question seems to be the cost of the donor machine and all of the special parts needed. Is it cheaper in the end? And are the parts available?

I thought that hyperball was kind of unique till I saw that rapid fire
One lerns something new here every day
Quoted from jcaine02:I just became a Pinside member a few weeks ago & just seeing this thread. I picked up this T3, my very first pin!!
[quoted image]
Congrats. I picked up my first pin as a nonworking garage buy last year. Since then I've sold 5, restored 3 of those, and shopped out several more. Now I have 4. The addiction is real.
Quoted from Tallon:So……this just jumped in the back of the car today

"Jumped in"? I'm almost certain that it had a little bit of encouragement on the way in...

Like a sand bag crew during a flood!
Quoted from Biju:Really excited to bring home The Shadow! It's one of my wife's favorite pins and since I've "accidentally" purchased a few of my favorites it was time for things to return to an even keel.

Don’t forget to install the rest of your topper. The pieces are in the coin box.

Thanks I'm traveling for work this week. I will install them this weekend.
Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:Traded my WCS for Party Animal, Lady Luck (6803) and Fun Fest, didn’t get any good photos, so this will have to do till I set them up either tomorrow or the next day.
Whoa! That's so weird... I just traded my Party Animal, Lady Luck and Fun Fest for a WCS! Oh wait...

Is that a big coincidence or just a coincidence? (Seinfeld reference... sorry, couldn't help myself)

Nice score for everyone.
Quoted from Jakers:Not sure yet why I brought it home, but I did.

It's a really fun game, and looks to be in great condition.
Quoted from jrpinball:It's a really fun game, and looks to be in great condition.
It is in great condition. There’s a scoring issue I’m working on fixing but other than that, it plays great.
Quoted from fisherdaman:As a big time ski bum I'm beyond excited for this game!! Patiently waiting for my friend to show up and help me unload. [quoted image]
Ooof. That pic is before I did all of the work on the yard. Luckily not much is seen (other than weeds in the rocks and around the tree)
Quoted from BubbaK:I just picked up a super clean Williams Toledo for $300. My first Williams. The guy owned it for 40 years..
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Nice score! I think Toledo is underappreciated. I played one a bunch of times at Pincinnati (or was it Cle-Pin?) and enjoyed it. There’s more to the ruleset than meets the eye.
Yours looks like it’s part Firepower, though.

I have a Toledo parts machine coming in if you need any parts.

Thanks.. I saw the game doesn't get a lot of love.. I'm not a very good player, so I tend to prefer the simple games. Looking forward to getting this up and going. The guy said he last played it about a year ago. He tried it a few weeks ago and the outhole wasn't kicking out the ball, so he gave up on it. I've got a machine in the shop now and I usually don't work on 2 at once, but I may get this one set up since it shouldn't need a lot of work. I have one of the original pop bumper caps, but the Firepower looks cooler.
ibuypinballs - I can't imagine needing a parts machine for this one, but I'll know more once I get it set up. I didn't even really pop the top on it yet. I'm a sucker for parts, so I may be interested anyway. Let me know when you get it..
Quoted from Pinbub:Not proud of it but the price was right.kinda like collecting motorcycles and bringing home a moped. Wall hanger at the least.
Hey there!!! I had a real nice one of these that I actually powdered and restored, but sold it last year. Playfield was so cherry… not even a ball track. Really it’s the equivalent of some EM games, and great if you have small kids around.
And I still have the home use CF (and a real one waiting to be restored).

Colson, if I remember correctly you also restored a Wico big top. That looked awesome as well!

I’m keeping my eye for one. Could possibly be a decent V-pin cab

Congrats! Love those posters in the back - is that something purchasable from Stern?

I have a headless one as well.
Not mine - but a fun project was brought to me today, it was in his mothers basement for two decades, he won it in a contest at the local arcade in the 80's (arcades did what?! Lol)
This is the first EM Ive ever worked on so will be looking for some guidance probably on the EM forums (these gottlieb flipper mechs dont look familiar at all...) wish me luck!

I just viewed a Abra Ca Dabra a few weeks back with the most cracked/roached backglass I've ever seen
This one looks pretty good. Also couple little issues on the Pf but nothing to call home about.
Main issue I can smell is must and some black mold on the inside. Guessing I will have to lift out that enormous circuit board, yelp
