Free is always good!

The The Getaway: High Speed II is good also but the booze has to be the best.

#23402 2 years ago
Quoted from pingod:

I'm sure there is a story about the booze too.
I'm guessing you were in Alberta

2 cartons of smokes and some beef jerky would have rounded that picture out nicely

My stairs are too narrow at the 180 turn. I have to take everything apart to get it up into the bonus room . It’s a PITA

#23411 2 years ago
Quoted from bigguybbr:

My stairs are too narrow at the 180 turn.

Fell down my staircase to the basement once. Bottom of shoes were just a little wet and slipped all the way down. Thanks God I didn't fall forward as I would have slammed into a concrete block wall. Had the biggest bruise on my butt for awhile and always checked my shoes before I went to the basement again.

Many years ago I was helping to move my grandmother when she was alive. My brother and a friend of his had to flip the couch standing up to get it down the stairway. They are a lot stronger than me and I was amazed they did it without dropping it.

Those older staircases are a pain in the butt and small stepped. Talked to a guy who was delivering a washer and dryer for me and he stated that you would not believe the amount of people who do not measure the door openings!

Finally got my winter project...a little late. I've worked on so many of these old Ballys I can practically do it blindfolded. Ten minute drive for the pickup.

Thanks. It has some wear around inserts and some cupping. The seller did some cleaning and polishing, he was cutting his teeth trying to learn the hobby. Plenty left to work on for me. Looks like I'm in for some hours of repinning connectors, among other things. It was played for sure, and possibly stored in a damp location or basement judging by rust on metal parts.

This is on my shortlist of cabs I want to have at some point. I haven't played one in over a decade, yet I can still hear Captain Jack repeatedly saying "PARLAY! PARLAY!"

Great score!

Ordered in January and got it today. I've already installed the speaker LED kit, under cabinet lighting, and Tilt lockbar magnet. Still waiting for the shaker motor, topper, inside cabinet art, and few other misc mods. Such an amazing game!

Two weeks ago this wasn’t even close to being on my radar. Moved one into a friend’s house and loved it. Bought a truck Friday and used it to transport a NIB Monday.

Used to have one. Great pixel art, playfields hold up amazing, fun skill shot, 2 ball multiball possible right off the bat, the 2 physical ball locks, and crazy wire forms. A real PITA to shop out. Only reason it left was it was my only pin at the time, and the game was too linear to be my one and only home game.

can see that ... however ejecting the co pilot was always fun !

Absolutely! Would be a fantastic game if the code was tweaked and allowed you to qualify and pick different air shows rather than going in a prescribed order. Still tons of fun in a collection

I’ve never played Airborne, but it looks fun! The layout and features look interesting. Drops, spinner, ramps, locks, it’s got a lot going for it. Capcom did some cool things with their pins. Sad they didn’t stick around so we could get code remastering for Pinball Magic and others. I just played Pinball Magic recently and I was impressed. Great gimmicks and shots. I would also like a Breakshot someday. I like the theme and simplicity. Congrats!

Nice pickup! Love our Airborne. That and Pinball Magic remind me of more modern System 11 machines in that they are very linear in the objectives, but Airborne is good fun, and really fast if set up correctly.

Enjoy it! I really wish they'd come out with a color DMD for this machine as I think it could be fantastic.
