Made a quick jaunt to Nebraska to meet up with my buddy Bill for a playfield he picked up at TPF that I wasn't able to arrange before he passed through Kansas. Got to play his awesome Quicksilver and confirmed just how much I want to build one.

My real pickup post comes Monday after I load up the trailer and head to Oklahoma. The 35mpg i got driving the hybrid to Nebraska felt a lot better than the 8mpg I'm about to get en route to Oklahoma on Monday

My friend brought me a working Doodle Bug and a pretty bad half-finished retheme a couple months ago. The fully populated playfield popped up at TPF and I figured that would get us back to two working machines. But I'm NOT an EM guy, at all...I lined up a trade for a solid state game I feel far more comfortable working on. That trade happens Monday.

I'm definitely not an EM guy but more than anything else I'm trying to help a friend out by clearing up some of his early buying mistakes (IE busted machines he can't fix). Feeding me SS games I can actually fix rather than EMs which I can't/don't want to fix definitely makes it easier on me.

Sounds like my other friend who's getting the bugs wants to make them aggressive tournament machines so they'll work well for that purpose. Win-win-win.

At the time, compared to tabletop toy pins, I loved it. It's not a stinker by any means, but today I would much rather play other Ballys of the era: Hokus Pokus, Hi Deal, Hi Lo Ace, Bow and Arrow, Flip Flop, Hang Glider.

Crazily priced is in the eye of the beholder but yes this was the one from BC. I did pay significantly less then his asking price. He said he had offers for more than I paid for it, but the buyers were having issues setting up shipping since Nelson is kind of in the middle of nowhere, beautiful area, but remote, and the whole border with the US thing. Nice guy too, would deal with again.

Nice, congrats on that pick up. Yes... pinball pricing is totally subjective. Crazy price today, is tomorrow's bargain
