Quoted from Archer600:Brought home BIG-BERTHA last weekend...
Would love to get one of those too. Some of those themes look amazing. Would love to see a modern Pin with a theme like those.
Just scored a Road Kings courtesy of Leo Laporte from TWiT TV ( and The Screensavers from TechTV )! Met Leo at the Microsoft Build conference in San Francisco a couple of weeks ago. Apparently Jeri Ellsworth had dropped this off from one of her appearances and the studio needed to make room. I promised that once I was done with it, it'd go to the Pacific Pinball Museum. I'll be very excited to start cleaning it and giving it some TLC. Great Mad Max vibe. I think I owe Leo lunch now

Glad to hear Leo is, in his way, contributing to the pinball community. A bunch of us ex-Revision3 or TechTV folk are all into pinball now. So cool!
Quoted from Pinterest:This is why you don't bring your wife to the pinball store. I wanted something manly... Guess that's out.

Dorothy, meet Johnny.
Quoted from yzfguy:Real men wear Ruby slippers.
No,YZF, they don't! They can own a WOZ but that's where I draw the line.

Haha... no worries, your secret is safe with me. :p
Quoted from erak:Well my friend wanted a Ghostbusters but is living with his in-laws until his new house is finished being built. So look what we brought to my house today.
I will have it at my place for at least the next 3 months.
Can we have a HD in depth video of the game please? Details, Details, Details, Details....

I'm not so sure about that SkyPilot... ever since I've been playing with those ruby slipper flippers... my handshake has gotten 'fishy' and my wrists have started getting limp.
Not going to be red long! Get that thing inside. We only have 3 days of sun in Ohio and you choose today!

Contact - Was surprised this was my wife's pick. It's fun but can be brutal. 28.5 inches wide this thing is a monster 20160424_004709_(resized).jpg
Alien Poker - I can't resist a project and this is a BIG one. Playfield looks great though. Sorry for the crummy picture the playfield glass is stuck....20160424_004929_(resized).jpg20160424_004811_(resized).jpg
Quoted from Zukboy2002:Awesome game!! We played it all night till we passed out.
Might want to put some rubber caster protectors underneath the leg levelers.
Hardwood floors + pinball machines = equals deep scratches

The rubber protectors I bought did not slide on my floor. I went with a sticky back felt pads 1.5" diameter bought at Lowes. They will protect the floor and allow you to move the game for repairs or maintaince.

they're not that bad...

.... or maybe set the tilt pretty loose & get some good slider saves..
Quoted from Zukboy2002:Picked up 3 this weekend all in good shape too. I'm super stoked

I love your metal siding in the game room.
Not sure if this truly qualifies, but I decided to pull out my AGBGoaWT from storage after a LONG time. (NIB overstock purchase).
Not much play on this game, put maybe 250+ games on it, folded it back up, shrink wrapped it and got crated.
"Dial in" via burn test and tech overhaul required on this game, even when it came from the factory.
"Bulletproofing" is a better term, and I still need to add some tweaks to protect the playfield. It can be be a little wonky if you just fire it up, not in the electronics per say, but more about playfield switch design, not to mention the game has not been played in nearly a decade.

I played this game at the Ohio show for the first time. It was pretty cool. I loved the drum feedback in the flipper buttons.

Yes, the "bump buttons" were a unique feature found in no other machine from a manufacturer, unless there is someone foreign that did it I am completely unaware in history. You definately can feel the pulses with the pop bumpers and multiball.
The sound/music quality is FAR superior than most games, even today unless a PinSound board is used.
After being in the hobby for about 16 years, it has become quite a rarity for me to run into a solid state game that I've never seen before. Today, that happened. And I took it home. It's a Hot Fire Birds. A 1985 machine from (West-)German manufacturer NSM.
The interesting part: the playfield seems to have been made by Premier/Gottlieb. Judging by the parts on and underneath the playfield, I'm 99% sure that the entire populated playfield came from that company. Pinball Resource still has NOS playfields and plastic sets for this game, too. The board set and cabinet are definately not Gottlieb, though.
Fascinating beast. Hope I'll be able to get it running.

Congrats Jappie and thanks for sharing! That backglass is great!
Just picked up a rare cocktail pin--1978 Viza War. I don't normally pay much attention to cocktail games, but this one was particularly interesting because of the 2-player aspect, the overall design, the electronics that were used (all 7400 logic--no MPU/CPU). It seems to have a lot in common with the Allied Leisure games that I've been working on. Apparently, it has both a single and 2-player mode. In two player mode, if someone gets the ball in the center tunnel target, it can disable the other player's flippers for a short period of time.
It came with a spare playfield, which I plan on swapping in. However--the playfields are slightly different. One playfield has kick-out saucer holes, while the other doesn't and instead just has a slingshot.
The artwork came from the famous "The Berzerker" painting: http://www.comicbookbrain.com/large-frank-frazetta-conan-the-berzerker.php
There are no playfield inserts, aside from LED's for the character's eyes. There are scoring lights around the outside of the playfield.
Unfortunately, it doesn't have a manual or schematics, and I don't see that they are readily available, so I may have to do some hunting for that.

Quoted from Zarklin:Never thought I'd want one till I got into pins. It'll be the next vehicle. Nice TWZ btw!
2 pins 1 van. Also drives great. Love my Honda Odyssey. This is the second one I have owned.

Only 2? My friend used to put 3 in his Pontiac Montana. That was the beauty of a van as a pinhauler.

That's going to be my next car and first pin hauler vehicle. Cannot wait.
