Mathazar beat me to it
Quoted from chad:Mathazar beat me to it
Alcoves tend to fill up. In my case...."it's just one pinball machine, honey" for our newly finished basement rec room in 2017 (we already had the dart machine). 5 years later, seven pins plus two projects in the garage.
01a (resized).jpg02a (resized).jpg03a (resized).jpgQuoted from chad:Maybe three more in that area! Great first game pick.
LOL I bet within a year you'll figure out how to squeeze three in, maybe even four more ... dang this hobby is addictive (as I literally just sat down after using a measuring tape to see if I MIGHT be able to squeeze in a 5th machine in my own collection at some point ... who needs to see the side-art anyway, am I right?!?)! Love the pin, congrats, that Data East Star Wars is just darned plain fun right off the bat, no question will draw folks in and you'll have a blast with it. That one has the perfect classic SW art package as well, definitely a classic.
Quoted from sponjey:Just got DE Star Wars delivered last night as my first pinball machine. Loving it and the nostalgic memories!

Congrats! That's the best Star Wars pin IMHO.

Beautiful rec room, thanks for the "time lapse" chuckle. Man a STTNG and an original Black Knight are personal favorites, great representation across the last few decades in the collection, well done sir!
Quoted from transprtr4u:Darth is a little close to the ceiling !
congratulations !
when is second one being delivered ?
Thanks! Haha, yes! That Darth likes to fly high.
I hope the second gets delivered as soon as I can find it to buy (DE Jurassic Park 1993 and/or Williams Indiana Jones 1993).
Quoted from Mathazar:Congrats on your first pin! I see room for 3 more in that little cubby/alcove area....won't be long till you fill it up.
Room for 3 more was my estimation as well! I also lightly dropped that possibility to my wife for a reaction. It wasn't met with open arms, but not necessarily crossed arms either. We'll ease into it

I love the progression! Can't wait to see do one of my own.

Thanx! Might as well show you current day/2022.
Like a goldfish in a bowl, pin ownership tends to grow to the size of the enclosure.

Meteor is an awesome game!

Awesome, looks to be in really nice shape, especially for the age, congrats!

[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
A working 80B is a rare pin, and it already has Freeplay40 clear ramps and the hard to find alt translite. Great pickup, now make that robot dance!
Brought home a legend…. Now my AIQ is no longer an only child.
Got it setup and code updated (super easy) and played a few games. Family loves it so far. Fast and fun to shoot. Looking forward to a lot more plays.

The process of working with a domestic partner on further pinball acquisition is a delicate one. Probably similar to jewelry acquisition for some people. Build slowly.
Quoted from OldHockeyGuy:The process of working with a domestic partner on further pinball acquisition is a delicate one. Probably similar to jewelry acquisition for some people. Build slowly.
I've found that the two go hand in hand. The more jewelry that is acquired the easier it is to acquire pinball.
Quoted from Shriner37:I've found that the two go hand in hand. The more jewelry that is acquired the easier it is to acquire pinball.
In my wife's terminology it's called accessorizing! More purses for the right occasion, dresses, shoes etc. Jewelry is the bling that brings it all together. So when I purchase a new machine, I just let her know I am accessorizing the game room!
Quoted from Charles_Kline:Having a wife who is more into pinball than jewelry makes it a lot easier. I'm thankful for that.
Same here! She's actually pressuring me to make the garage into an additional pinball room.

Holy crap.

lucky it wasn't a STNG or WOZ !

It's on the list.
Along with some art blades

Is it challenging? Seems very 123. I like it otherwise but the code idk
RFM (and SWE1) are really intended to be transported with the head and body separated... it's very easy to separate those pieces (three cables and a few bolts, I believe), and then each piece isn't too painfully heavy (in pinball terms). Individuals still shouldn't be lifting the head (~150 lbs) solo, but at least it's better than fighting with the 370 lb beast that is the complete game.
And add The Hobbit to your list -- I'm pretty sure that's the heaviest pin I've ever moved.

Used a fridge dolly with RFM.... two guys... yowza... wish I knew your method.

Haunted House- Widebody with three playfields.
Four of us moved it into the shop in one go assembled.
Quoted from gdonovan:Haunted House- Widebody with three playfields.

Id rather move my sttng or dm before moving another HH, man that game is heavy.
I don’t have the patience that others do to wait. I’ve moved 3 of the 4 machines alone. I had help with Superman. It barely fit down the stairs.
Quoted from Spitfiren8:Id rather move my sttng or dm before moving another HH, man that game is heavy.
I have both HH and WOZ upstairs, both I moved by myself (just posted about my WOZ adventure), for HH I did what Ferret suggested in separating the head, cabinet, and playfields. Much easier that way, and I already had it apart for painting etc. Both of those machines feel like moving a coffin full of anvils ... somehow seemingly heavier than the sum of all of the parts!
Quoted from naf_llabnip:Both of those machines feel like moving a coffin full of anvils!
Lmao.... that's a great analogy.
Quoted from embryonjohn:Found it in a thrift store and couldn’t resist
Years ago I got in a 2001, but already having Dimensions, I traded it off. Probably
should have kept it just because of its condition. Like a 9.9 all around.
Quoted from embryonjohn:Found it in a thrift store and couldn’t resist

I keep tagging along with my wife every time she goes to a flea market, thrift store, antique "malls", etc. just hoping to run into something like this. No such luck yet.

Looks nice! Good price?
Quoted from Boof-Ed:After acquiring a pro about 8 weeks ago I knew when I saw this pop up that I just had to have it.

Great score. Updated myself to from a pro to a LE. Just such a great pin and a true masterpiece from Lyman. He will be remembered.

Me too! And if you find one in an antique store it's really expensive!

Nice grab!! One of my favorite Sterns..

Great game. One of the best Sterns from the 2010’s and one I’ve never owned because of wife and kiddo. Maybe when he’s into zombies in his teens!
I really wanted this game for a while and my urge to own it was reinforced when a good friend of mine told me a story of how this was his first game and how much he enjoyed playing it with his family over the years. From that point forward, I knew this game was something really special.
I recently placed a pre-order for the 2.0 conversation kit however, I was planning to cancel it due to not being able to find the game at a reasonable price when suddenly my friend said there was one for sale.
I sprung into action right away and was able to purchase it from a wonderful family.
Welcome to the Fun House.
