Quoted from Billc479:I always liked the passenger falling out of the plane on Bon Voyage.
Quoted from stavio:That cracked me up too. As best as I can determine, they didn't pay their fare and not only did they get tossed, but the luggage also lol
Bon Voyage was from 1974 - this might have been a reference to D.B. Cooper's Air Hijacking from 1971, although he was the only one to parachute out the back of the plane...

That would be Roadshow!

That's because they took "get on the plane" literally. I never get "on" the plane, I get "in" the plane! Let Evel Knievel get "ON" the plane!!!
This one one of my favorite George Carlin rants!

Congrats on your game! I have a ton of black and white rubber rings and posts. If you want some I can send you a bunch.
I remember that game brand-spankin' new at our local arcade.
SS was not yet on the scene. Those Williams games played lightning fast when they were new.
Picked up this gem a few days ago. Had to clean up a couple of steppers. Needs a few more things done. Simple but elegant rules. Will go nicely with Volley.

That was just for a photo. It's already been wrapped and stored somewhere safe until I figure out the state of the boards.

Sweet! I cleaned that PF a time or two when I volunteer-teched there.
Welcome to Pinside!
So it’s been a while since I’ve thought I had something worthy to post in this thread. But I finally got to unbox this absolute masterpiece by @jjlp!!! I haven’t gotten to flip it yet as it needs to be converted to 110v and I can’t find my dang pin pullers for molex plugs, but I’ll update when I can.

That’s incredible! How many of these are running around now??? Seems like at least 3 of them exist: the original, GAP, and @jjlp’s version.
Whatever happened to the Disney one?
That’s pretty awesome! Congratulations!
Quoted from PlanetExpress:Now that I’m up to 3, I officially have a pre-war “collection” Both need some work, but all the important parts are intact.

I found a great deal on this pin, a title that I haven't played before (Ice Fever). Nice cabinet, wear on the playfield, but a perfect backglass. Game plays, but needs a shop job.
I forgot to bring my backgklass travel kit, so I drove two miles to the local Lowe's and made one since I was 320 miles from home, and didn't want to transport the glass in the game, or wrapped up on the floor of the backseat wrapped in a moving blanket.
I bought a heavy duty medium sized box, a roll of tape and a large foam picture frame pouch, all in the packaging aisle at Lowe's. I laid down a moving blanket on the ground, opened the picture frame pouch, and inserted the glass, then taped it closed. Taped the bottom of the box shut, and then inserted the pouch (backglass lift channel first) inside the carton. Lay a moving blanket down over the folded down seat to rest on the floor. Stand the backglass box un top of the moving blanket, then fold the blanket over the top of the box for transport.
Ice Fever2 (resized).jpeg
You can buy the supplies at Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. If you're at home, cut down a cardboard box into a long piece about four inches shorter than the box you'll transport the glass in, and about two inches tall. Score it across the length and fold in half. After taping your box shut at the bottom, insert the "V" shaped piece of cardboard inside to the bottom. That becomes the piece that keeps your glass from breaking through the tape and touching the ground beneath.
