That's great, did you get the story from the owner what maniac created the ramps?
Or are they original to the game???

First ramps in a pinball… they really ran with the idea!

That's amazing! What a pickup for your collection.
Cheers.
Expanding my Zaccaria pinball collection this weekend (now have 3 Zaccaria machines) and purchased a Magic Castle from Pinsider stumptown in Portland Oregon. Excited to add this unique machine to my collection. Machine is in overall good condition and just needs a good cleaning/shop job.

Thanks Colsond3! I feel very lucky that I was able to purchase it here local to the NW (only two hours away) as Zaccaria machines are scarce here in the NW. Only two Magic Castles were listed on the Pinsider map that showed in the NW. I contacted both and stumptown answered my request on possibly selling. We discussed it and a deal was made.
My first pin. Not my last. A 2016 Nissan Rogue fits a DMD era Stern without having to remove anything but the legs. That includes a piece of cardboard underneath to slide it on, and cardboard over the back box to protect it from the strap, and a shipping blanket between the back box and play field and tucked under the edges of the cabinet.

Nice first machine! Enjoy!!
Have not been on the hunt as much lately, but I still managed to bag a Big Game this weekend.

It is a project game and I already have one of the same title waiting for attention, but the playfield on this one is in much better condition.

I should be able to put together one respectable player between the two.
Quoted from bluespin:I haven’t posted a pickup in a while. This classic em showed up locally for sale but wouldn’t start a game(player one reels won't reset to zero). Asking price was high, but I negotiated it down to an inexpensive project price. Playfield will clean up nicely, inside is very clean, and it has a beautiful backglass. Only 54,000 plays.
Obligatory selfie with the pin in the suv so not to trigger the snowflake that used to complain about this "traditional" selfie picture being absent in many of our posts.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
First game I ever owned
Had my buddy bring me a couple new toys to play around with and sent him with my BKSOR as collateral for the time being.
Cats is pretty rough, but plays. It will need a full shop job and a new set of plastics..the cab will need some attention with stencils, but that'll be much later.
Slugfest seems to work fine from what I can tell although it does have a credit dot. No idea if Slugfest will be a forever keeper, this is my first trial with a pitch and bat. We'll see what the kids think.

$900, a little rich for my blood... but maybe someday.

If you have the space, SlugFest is alot of fun, especially with kids if the card dispenser works. It gets alot of play when I have people over or when there are kids down there. Admittedly it's not the best one player experience but if you have a spot you don't mind it taking up I love mine.

Check that serial number on that bad cats. I'd bet its a Prototype. Some of the colors seem off.

Yeah, I'm hoping the kids love it. I cleared one space (BKSOR) to fit both of these, although Bad Cats absolutely needs stripped down and fully shopped at a minimum (it's FILTHY) so I could have gotten away with keeping BKSOR around a bit longer... oh well. I'm looking forward to seeing how the kids feel about it.

Doesn't seem to be anything special here besides all matching boards (except for the power supply -- bummer). I think it's just *that* dirty lol

I think the kids will, I love it too! I find non pinball people really gravitate towards it when we have people over. When I have pinball people over its great because you can play any number of innings, so there are alot of people that will play 1 to 3 inning games waiting to play their ball on a pin, or we've had real quick dollar tournaments. Anyway - my sales pitch is complete!

Congrats on the pickups! I have a Bad Cats and would love a SlugFest as well. Enjoy them! They will go great with the rest of your lineup!

That's the general consensus I've heard on pitch and bats. As to whether it applies to my kids and their friends? Who knows. We'll know soon!

I've wanted a BC for a while now. Admittedly I wanted one a bit less......rough...and dirty...than this one, but I'm also horribly cheap and could not have even begun to be willing to pay the going rate for a super nice one. Slugfest has always been fairly intriguing to me, although I had never played it prior to the one test game I put on it yesterday.
I certainly wasn't looking to buy more pins right now as I just more than doubled my house payment (ouch), but when I was offered these for what I felt was a steal price in 2021, I decided it would be a good time to take the equity out of my BKSOR (well, when it sells) and grab two pins I've wanted. I know I'll miss BKSOR being in my lineup but I think these two pins + cash will help me lick my wounds a bit.
From Saturday late in the day getting packed up to go to my house about 2 hours away but with traffic was about 3 hours each way (First picture).
From Saturday evening at my place after set up (not a great picture - lights midway going through an attract mode) and some mandatory test playing (Second picture).

Picked up my POTO from Keith Holbrook yesterday. Playfield had a full mylar pull, touchups and was clearcoated. All new everything. I love the art on this game!

One of the best sounding DE games!
To quote myself earlier in this thread…
Quoted from play_pinball:Another day, another classic Stern ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Quoted from KSUWildcatFan:$900, a little rich for my blood... but maybe someday.
Nothing wrong with cleaning up and just having fun w/it. They all can't be museum pieces.
Quoted from Bud:Finally got my GNR, thank you Flippinout!
probably took so long to deliver because everything is blacked out!
Found this guy just over 3 miles from my house. Guy had it in his laundromat but it was only seeing 50 plays a month so he was done with it. Needs a cleaning, some new balls, and the right side of the head needs a new decal, but everything was in working order and the price was right so it’s coming home.

Other than the defect to be corrected, this Old Chicago looks to have nice potential for good restoration. What a classic era for Bally. Good pickup.
Two in a week, that’s rare for me.
Picked up a nice looking Mousing around which should clean up nicely. Already replaced a blown fuse, overheated GI connector and fixed some loose wires. Plays already nicely.
Next step is a tear down and shop it.
