Classic! Take a pic of a sign that prohibits the taking of pictures.. BWAHAHAHA
Made my day
Quoted from Taygeta:This is by far the longest I’ve ever had to chase a game
Ah, but the thrill of the hunt is often the best part, especially when it finally pays off and you get the game you were looking for. Hopefully, it's all you hoped it would be. Congrats on finding it!
I was looking for a Centaur for 3 years, no luck.
Then one morning my friend called, and sold me his. Two days later it was home.
The best thing about our hobby if the great people you meet.
Congrats on your Centaur.
Quoted from pincoin:Centaur will never leave my collection, best game from 1981
Vector gets my vote best of 1981!
Quoted from gliebig:Tag team back again....
That's all the lyrics I know.
All the lyrics I know too. Another BIG thank you to@Colsond3 for making this one a reality. I owe you...again

Awesome! I’m not a big fan of pins from the era but I really liked tag team and genesis. Probably some of my favorite gottliebs

Agreed. Was a tough one to find. Was reaching out to people that didn't have them for sale. Owners were not interested in parting with this title....until I found a collector that needed to purge down his collection. Sometimes you have to make your own luck
Heard some noises in the basement last night- came down this morning and found this. It appears Star Wars gave birth to Star Explorer. Heck, I didn’t even know it was pregnant! Father was likely the Baron.
It was actually destined for a dumpster. I fixed the power supply, waxed it, new rings and ball, and it plays like it should. Grandkids think it’s cute.

'81 was a pretty great year - Eight Ball Deluxe and Black Hole that year as well.
For some reason the grandkids like playing it just as much as the real machines. I’ve played it just enough to know that it’s working properly.
Maybe I’ll sell it and base it on banning prices. 10K by Christmas

Stop looking at games and lowering the Northeast inventory!! I grab more for you than I do for myself.
Remember the Alamo!!!

Dang, my grail pin! I just couldn't bring myself to pay the price at captains. I'll find one someday.
Congrats.

Great pickup. That game rocks.
Added a RBION and a ‘47 Exhibit Mystery. The condition on the Mystery is crazy for being 74 yo… one tiny bubble on the back glass and one broken bumper, but no paint loss on the playfield and no flaking on the bg . Looking forward to getting the Mystery cleaned up and working, and seeing how the four period flippers were added (I love the history of a flipperless machine being upgraded to flippers back in the day).

Bit of an understatement ...
Congratulations

Semantics, perhaps. IPDB has a 1981 date for the project but a 1982 manufacture date. Copyright dates would likely align with project dates *before* it goes into production.

Thats when the game was designed, but its release was Feb 1982

Its a game that went on sale in 1982, full stop.
Own a 1979 Bally Supersonic which has a project date of *1976* so the project or copyright date doesn't mean much.

Surprise road trip this Saturday as Matti claimed a Truck Stop as her third game!

It was... a bit longer of a trip than expected. Pinside Marketplace location search put the ad within a 200 mile drive of us. Unfortunately, the seller's location wasn't set correctly, and what I assumed to be a three-hour drive turned out to be more like five. One way. But now she owns three machines... all of them from 1989.
We set the backbox padding on the floor when we set the game up, and it seems our babies have claimed it as a new bed.

Does she know it's her third game? She's only holding up 2 fingers Kidding, congrats and sorry the drive was a bit further than you thought it would be but more time to hang together, right? Yay for more pinball!
