I brought home something really cool a few weeks ago. I already had one of the 100 made, but my dream of opening a NIB Alvin G finally came true when I picked up this particular Dinosaur Eggs! It sat for 23 years in the box. So cool to have the opportunity to unbox it!
It did have several issues right out of the box...
1. Game wouldn't boot up--> CPU ROM was bad
2. Alphanumeric display didn't work--> Turned out to be a blown fuse of the incorrect size. They stuck a 1/2 amp in it at the factory instead of a 1 amp.
3. A handful of switches didn't register--> Some just needed adjusting, but one (in a very tight space under the playfield pivoting mechanism) had the diode smashed across all the switch lugs.
4. Flashlamps weren't working--> Turned out to be a blown driver transistor
She's playing great now and spitting tickets!
