Quoted from bluespin:Evaporust is only $16.15 per gallon on Amazon and has free shipping. If you do use Evaporust on legs, spray them afterwards with a $6 can of clear from the home improvement store, or wax them. That will prevent the rust from returning.
Thanks. I will definitely need to setup an evap I rust station in my garage for my next project. I was thinking about a way to save chemicals by vac-u-forming soaking trays but then id have to get a vacuum table too but that sounds cool too .
I used the evaporust kitchen sink method and got the fronts and where the table butts up on the backs cleaned with 1000 grit wet cobalt sandpaper.
After cleaning metal i like to use never dull as a rust stopper. I give it a thurough coat barely buff it, then come back a day later and buff the white residue off.
Table was sold in auction as not working, 3xAAA batteries and she's playing again. Now I have to figure out how to one-man it up my 4 garage steps into the house and I can start cleaning.
I also had a not-fun first this week and learned about not setting tempered glass on cement. Even if you think you can do it very very carefully, don't do it. Fortunately it was from a thrashed empty cabinet i bought, not the HS.
