Chris
Thanks! Not Pa, I bought local from a friend
Quoted from undrdog:The beehive is there. We’re missing the coin chutes. I don’t think that is the correct door, either. The flyer has silver legs and door. The beehive is on the flyer.
Did they make a white painted door? If so, the legs and bolts were color matched with latex paint.
[quoted image][quoted image]
That looks like a replacement beehive. Yours must be an earlier production model then. Somewhere during the run, they switched to the later type metal shooter bezel and shorter shooter rod.

I assume this was the one on Facebook today? Nice grab!
Quoted from undrdog:Just brought him home from an estate sale right in my neighborhood. Everything seems to work, although I haven’t confirmed the scoring on the rototarget yet.
First pin that was playable when I got it home! It came with a bucket of tokens. Jackpot!!
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Tokens are always fun! Love when my games come with unique tokens/coins. Just got a game from Denmark with a Kroner coin in it.
Quoted from gdonovan:Sorcerer
Correct!
Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:Back on the forum!! Just picked up a decent players machine, thanks to the96stang
Happy to finally have one, these old Solid States are truly the best pinball experience. I never get tired of them! Just trying to convince Kate to put this one in her house

That chandelier would look good on my phantom…… (Yes, I know it’s in the roof and just the angle of the cam).

That's a fun game - always enjoyed playing this one. Nice pickup!

I though the topper was one of those octopus guns.

Looks that chandelier is hanging in you garage, I’m thinking before you filled it with games that’s where you took the wife/gf to go parking! LOL
Actually 1/3rd of it is missing but it’s more of a decorative part than a lighted part. Have to get the vehicles in somewhere. This belonged to my aunt and uncle and had a huge house / entryway where this was installed. The new owners didn’t want it and were going to throw away. I said I’d take it. It’s got to cost 1,000s but they didn’t care. I’d never buy something like this and definitely wouldn’t look right anywhere in my house so why not spice up the garage?
No bulbs yet I am saving up for those Philips hue so I can make them flicker if I want.

Of course, it is appropriate to have a ceiling fan mounted next to it !

Two. There’s one over the first and third garage stalls.
Quoted from Lowboy44:Met a super cool local pin guy today, made a new friend and scored a nice 1977 Bally Night Rider EM
Nice. Right on the edge of the cusp between EM and SS.
Picked up my second Abra Ca Dabra today! Not sure what I’m gonna do with the other. Convert it to a Wizard maybe?
Anyway, half of the fun of these pickups is meeting the people I make deals with and getting the story behind the game. Grabbed this one from a wonderful couple who recently retired. They own(ed) a prominent farmers market in Lambertville and were selling the market and their home to retire someplace warmer.
The game came from a Philly pizzeria where the woman’s father worked. Played it there for a while. You can tell it’s a “Stan Harris” game because the instruction cards are typed up on a typewriter, and it has the typical Stan harris steel plate bolted to the bottom). After the pizzeria closed, they brought it to their home, where it sat for decades. As I was disassembling the game, she was pointing out the high scores and graffiti etched into the cabinet saying “That name right there is my friend! I remember when he did that. We were so proud of that score.” Kinda makes the whole experience a little more special to get the backstory, you know?
Anyway. It was a really nice surprise Sunday pickup.

You could always sell it to me! Nice pickup though, Stan Harris games were all over Philly area back in the day.

Medusa is a looker and I had one for a bit, really didn't see the attraction in the gameplay myself. The Centaur I played down at Allentown has me on the hunt though.

Thanks! I messaged the seller about 45 minutes after it was posted that morning and thought "I'm probably too late, but you never know." Literally at 4pm she messaged me back saying the first guy never got back to her, and I was the second person in line, and I could have if I wanted, but I would need to get to her by 5pm since she had to go somewhere. Thank goodness there was a bank on the way and I left my toolbox in the car. Never drove so fast to pick up a pin in my life! Lambertville from my area is just a shade under 1 hour, so I made it there just in time. She mentioned that she had close to 50 other interested parties. Crazy!

After about a year and half of just buying new pins I started getting back to the classics. Picked up an Indy and creature. I really missed the play and sound of 90s pins. Starting to put rad cals on Indy with the help of mark (pinkitten) to make it perfect

I picked up a beautiful HUO Game of Thrones LE today.
Really low plays 250 ish.
Looks like it just came out of the box.
It came with the Stern factory topper too.
Missed this one, happy to get a nice one back.

Medusa is a Bally classic which ever way you slice it. No need to cast dissent on Max for his latest pick up. Relax.

I did not cast dissent on Max which is why I used the word MYSELF.
People have different tastes, Medusa turned out to not be to mine after obtaining one.
